TLB Operator – Roads Section Public Safety & Roads Service - Meyerton
Responsible for loading and off-loading of material and equipment with right equipment to ensure safety of co-workers and the enhancement of productivity within the section.
Operating vehicle for daily productivity of work and ensures that safety and traffic rules are followed.
Ensures and protects the vehicle in use and the work area with road signs for the safety of road users like public and vehicles during the excavation process.
Operates the TLB for digging of trenches and general road excavations to ensure effective construction and maintenance of roads related matters.
Co-operates fully and consultation with the supervisors of the section through receiving and dispatching of works orders to ensure productivity as a prime work purpose to fulfil the service delivery to the rate payers of the council.
Perform any other Ad Hoc tasks and duties as requested or required by management (supervisor) from time to time
Minimum requirements
Grade 12
Code 10 driver’s License with public driver’s permit (PDP)
Code 14 Driver’s License with public driver’s Permit (PDP) will be an added advantage.
Recognised TLB operating certificate
Skilful handling and operating of the TLB Machine
Ability to read and write, communication and interpersonal skills.
A hard-working self-disciplined person with good communication and interpersonal skills.
02 to 03 years relevant experience in operating a TLB Machine.
