Traffic managers have a keen eye for design, a creative passion and flair. They are highly skilled at running a great campaign from concept through to delivery, as well as being competent in allocating resources, monitoring, and reporting on the status of the project.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The role is primarily to keep designers on deadline, and co-management of the design department.
Help move jobs around to free up designers for urgent work, then keep them back on track.
Ensure that the assets are collected from China Team and given to the designers.
Feedback on job progress.
Follow up on feedback not received.
Help allocate tasks so that certain designers are not overloaded or overlooked.
Keep the PDS up to date, assign tasks to designers and close these out once completed.
Assisting with the tracking of work in PDS and tasks.
Evaluate briefs, follow up for missing assets or info where needed.
Control resource allocation.
Assist with uploading of basic briefs on PDS.
Tracking of hours for non-SMD jobs and overtime and sending monthly reports
Arranging quotes/invoices and payment of external vendors for services requested
First check for spelling, codes, prices, information and correctness on flyers and brochure work.
Assist with the designers monthly KPI’s.
Assist designers with in-office needs.
Compile daily deadline list and manage/track work.
Design Team management – keep track of leave and plan ahead.
Adobe Suite management for all accounts.
Shutterstock Image management for all designers, including digital designers.
Conduct weekly team meetings, to keep everyone on track.
Conduct weekly product developer meetings to ensure all project deadlines are met and reporting on the status of each job on the system.
Liaise with China Team and Product Developers where needed in the absence of the Art Director.
Requirements:
3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar position.
Relevant qualification ie – project management.
Resourcing experience with high volume traffic projects.
Proven project and account management experience.
Skilled at working under pressure.
The ability to problem-solve around deadlines and workflow.
Being able to change or pivot to different tasks or triage important tasks effectively.
