About the Role

• We are seeking a dedicated Truck Assistant to support our logistics operations. In this role, you will primarily focus on assisting truck drivers with the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring safe transport and delivery while maintaining efficient workflow.
• You will be an essential part of our transportation team, contributing to timely deliveries and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist truck drivers with loading and unloading cargo in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensure all materials are securely loaded to prevent damage during transport.
• Conduct routine inspections of cargo and equipment prior to departure.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the transport vehicle and loading areas.
• Collaborate with warehouse personnel to verify shipment accuracy and completeness.
• Help document deliveries and pick-up confirmations, ensuring proper record-keeping.
• Follow all safety protocols and company policies while on the job site.
• Handle merchandise with care, reporting any damages or discrepancies promptly.

Requirements

• Proven track record in a similar role or within the logistics and transportation sector.
• Strong understanding of safety standards and regulations in transportation.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding conditions.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Familiarity with basic loading and unloading procedures and equipment.
• Valid driver’s license may be preferred but not essential.
