Job Description:

• The role provides an effective end-to-end administration of the maintenance of Payroll and Time and Attendance data. The role ensures that targets and measures are met. 
• It complies with all governance requirements.   In addition, the role will investigate and close any escalated issues stemming from stakeholders and escalate any issues that cannot be resolved to the appropriate level. 

Key Tasks:

• Ensure that all tasks are done within the parameters of the Companies policies and comply legislatively whilst meeting all business objectives.
• Capture all time and attendance and do weekly reconciliation of time messages
• Ensure adherence to payroll calendars and deadlines
• Ensure accurate and timeous processing of data that will ensure all employees are paid correctly and on time.
• Prepare net pay comparisons checking and payslip checking
• Prepare spread sheets / upload files for payroll purposes to submit to FSS for payment which includes HLA, encashments, sundry deductions/refunds, telephone deductions, business kilo claims, NUM & Solidarity deductions and water & electricity deductions
• Ensure good understanding of policy that governs payroll and also have the ability to explain contents of policy to customers.
• Prepare boarding school assistance for processing at FSS payrolls
• Completes financial section of Rand Mutual insurance and Sanlam
• Completes taxable earnings for terminations
• Compile leave audits
• Printing of payslips on a monthly basis or on request
• Sorting & distribution of payslips
• Preparing of correction run information & documentation
• Assist with various payroll related queries and internal and external audit processes

Knowledge and Skills:

• SAP HR
• Strong aptitude for Microsoft Office
• Basic analytical & problem-solving skills
• Legislation pertaining to payroll environment, i.e. POPI, BCEA
• High level of attention to detail
• Ability to work well under pressure, within set guidelines and fast paced environment

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 Essential
• Payroll or HR qualification advantageous

Experience:

• 2 years’ experience in Payroll administrative role
• Knowledge of Payroll system
• Customer Service Orientation

Job Description:

• The purpose of this role is to evaluate equipment received for repair and to determine suitable source of supply for RFQ’s as well as assisting in the witnessing of testing where required, negotiating, placement and expediting Purchase Orders for materials for DB Technology, DBGS and Namdeb operations.
• The role is also required to co-ordinate all repair equipment to be purchased from DBMN and to facilitate the tracking and receipt of all equipment through the rotable system, via the Port Nolloth SCC or from vessel during in-port.

Key Tasks:

• Identifies and selects appropriate sources of supply.
• Receives, verifies and actions approved purchase requisitions for the repair of equipment and where necessary the purchase of spare parts, material and supplies.
• Performs technical and commercial evaluation of quotes received in consultation with end users.
• Negotiates trade terms and discount structures with vendors, delivering cost savings.
• Monitors price and other market movements
• Administration (including but not limited to updating and maintenance of procurement and tender documents)
• Prepares purchase orders based on quotes analysis and end user input.
• Ability to analyse and interpret drawings, data and equipment failures.
• Adheres to OHSAS and operational Policies and Procedures
• Provide advice and guidance to customers pertaining to equipment failures analysis and improvements.
• Establishes and maintains professional relationships with stakeholders (incl. vendors/suppliers, customers, team)
• Supplier audits and evaluations.

Qualifications:

• Trade Certification - Qualified artisan

Experience:

• 3 - 5 years Technical experience in a Marine and/or Mining environment

• The purpose of this role is to deliver professional People Relations Advisory support to key stakeholders and colleagues within the business and broader People Function.

Key Responsibilities:

People Operations:

• Actively support relevant People agenda projects (culture, behaviour, organizational change), champion Team and behaviours and work with peers from across the business to deliver against measurable outcomes while helping to mitigate associated risks

Compliance & Legal:

• Support and drive change management implementations, working with the relevant People Partners and senior sponsors to assure a compliant and risk mitigated process that delivers effectively on business requirement(s)Maintain version-controlled template documents for the full People Lifecycle across all business areas and locations

Employee Relations:

• Provides initial operational People support by giving first level advice to line managers and employees on key people management/HR processes and policies.
• These processes include Performance Management, Absence Management and other Employee Relations matters

IR Support:

• Support Business with Misconduct, Poor Work Performance, Incapacity, Absenteeism.
• Preparing and Collation of Evidence Bundles related to all IR processes.
• Facilitating External Dispute Resolution processes (Conciliation, Arbitration)

Talent Attraction:

• Support the Talent Acquisition team when required with recruitment including conducting intake meetings with Hiring Managers to understand their requirements; shortlisting CV’s.; and in some cases, attend interviews and on-boarding

Qualifications:

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree/Diploma in Human Resources, IR, Social Sciences or related
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in an HR Advisor role preferred, offering first line People Relations advice
• This position is based onsite at Venetia Mine.
• Previous experience in Mining or Construction is essential.
