    Clerk Asset Management

    Qualifications and experience required:

    • Matric/Grade 12.
    • Computer literacy.
    • One-year relevant experience.
    • A certificate in Administration is preferable.

    Key attributes and competencies:

    • Information reporting and recordkeeping skills.
    • Inventory control admin skills.
    • Ability to record stocktaking of movable assets.
    • Ability to scrutinise Stores Asset Enquiry system.

    Job purpose:

    • Executing the day-to-day management of movable assets with a view to protect the assets of the Municipality as well as meeting the various Directorate’s needs in the provision and disposal of movable assets to enhance their productivity.
    • As part of the selection process, candidates may be tested on any requirement, skill or competency, which will include pre-employment screening, medical examination, security vetting and psychometric assessment.

    Training Practitioner: Electrical

    Qualifications and experience required:

    • Registered as an Assessor.
    • National Trade Certificate (Electrician).
    • Grade 12 with English (language of instruction).
    • Accredited Training Certificate. 
    • In possession of at least N4 (Electrical Engineering – Heavy Current with Science and Mathematics as subjects).
    • Three years’ relevant experience.

    Key attributes and competencies:

    • Coordinates training by encouraging team and individual efforts to ensure proper development of staff through training.
    • Encourage staff development to support effective staff motivation.
    • Support career pathing/succession training to encourage commitment/productivity.
    • Report-writing and good communication skills.
    • Monitoring and controlling of expenditure.
    • Must be physically fit and healthy – must be able to perform manual operations and duties on foot.
    • Good sight, speech, and hearing ability (may not be colour blind – interpreting colour wiring codes).
    • Must be able to cope with mental stress associated with meeting deadlines, frequent interruptions in the job and interacting with varied personalities.
    • As part of the selection process, the recommended candidate will be required to undergo a medical examination at the Municipality’s Occupational Health and Safety Division.

    Job purpose:

    • Responsible for the planning, organising and execution of the training-related functions (electrical discipline) as identified/accepted by the Business Unit and conveyed by the Training Manager.
