    Administrator Environment

    Purpose of Job

    • To contribute to providing administrative support to an allocated team, to promote administrative efficiency in day-to-day operations.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Attend to day to day administrative tasks as required to assist the business to achieve its broader environmental objectives. Conduct critical control verifications (CCVs) and register them on Isometrix system. Assist with conducting inspections to ensure compliance with environmental management requirements as per the approved EMP and IWUL conditions.
    • Provide support to the mine in managing the aspects and impacts associated with their mining operational activities.
    • Ensure the findings from internal/external environmental audits are assigned to responsible personnel; registered on Isometrix and closed.
    • Assist with collection of information and compilation of various environmental reports, to relevant authorities, as required.
    • Attendance of SHE meetings and conducting presentations on raising environmental awareness to the mine personnel and service providers.
    • Assist with maintaining an administrative system of reporting environmental incidents and ensuring recommendations are implemented to rectify deviations.
    • Provide support to the Environmental Practitioner in executing the process for obtaining water use permits and other various environmental approvals.
    • Provide support in the reviewing of Standard Operating Procedures and executing the implementation of an environmental management system - ISO14001. Completes invoicing as and when required.

    Formal Education

    • Grade 12/ N3 with English or Business English
    • SHE Environmental Diploma or Degree

    Foreman (Trunk Conveyors)

    Purpose of Job

    • To oversee the engineering maintenance processes within the appointed area of responsibility to enable various mining teams to reach production targets within the principles of QCDSM

    Key Accountabilities

    • Manage and carry out engineering and maintenance strategies and overhaul plans on a day to day basis that ensure that departments KPI's are met deliver maintenance, if and when to replace / repair equipment 
    • Manage maintenance cost vs R/t in appointed area Maintenance budget 
    • Ensure availability of equipment by effectively managing downtime / shift / MTTF / MTTR (infrastructure and inspection equipment) 
    • Ensure adherence to maintenance programme 
    • Implements operational projects, ensures engineering compliance, develops and implements engineering Standard Operating Procedures (SOP in appointed area of responsibility. 
    • Ensures adherence to Engineering principles and legislation. 
    • Compliance to engineering governance bodies (standardisation committees) SOP / COP implementation and adherence 
    • Assess economics / engineering viability of no major engineering business cases and provides specific, inspection expertise and coaching 
    • Manage delivery against OE initiatives 
    • Carry out condition monitoring programs in appointed area of responsibility. Compliance to Condition monitoring program schedules. 
    • Conduct failure trend analysis and root cause elimination 
    • Execution of Predictive Maintenance recommendations (backlog) 
    • Support departments to achieve set targets by coordinating planning within appointed area of responsibility. 
    • Control costs to ensure production volumes are achieved within budget. 
    • Ensure best in class safety performance and continuous improvement of key safety metrics to maintain required RCR. 
    • Ensure SHE compliance rates vs. targets (especially major findings, % outstanding actions on findings) Zero harm, Zero fatalities, LWDCR 
    • Ensure the effective recruitment, training, coaching and career development 
    • Manage vacancy rates against staff establishment (vacancies incl. Absence due to TSD / PSD, AWOP, Successors for critical positions) 
    • Manage team bearing in mind key role turnover rate vs. industry average, absenteeism, employee engagement and enablement score (%, Tons/man/year, Monthly bonus targets) training days for department Planned Task observations

    Formal Education

    • Grade 12 / N3 with Mathematics, Physical Science and English

    Practitioner Conditional Monitoring

    Purpose of Job

    • To provide assistance to on any aspects regarding condition monitoring techniques and data collection. To perform minor maintenance on equipment to prevent failures.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Carry out the Predictive maintenance strategies / plans within the business unit that optimise to ensure machine availability is at an optimum for production. 
    • Adherence to Predictive maintenance program plan vs. actual per department. 
    • Ensure that work standards are met according to quality, quantity and due dates. 
    • Manage complex schedules and communicate possible delays in meeting deadlines. 
    • Ensure work is completed as planned. 
    • Manage own work planning and delivery according to targets. 
    • Department operating within budget (Budget / Actual). 
    • Monthly Predictive maintenance reports, including list of equipment of being running for 50 days and inform the enduser of the status. 
    • Discuss progress, exception reports, follow-up actions at agreed business unit forums. 
    • Report on progress, corrective action, make information available in format as agreed by the Turbo Monitoring department. 
    • Improve present way of doing work by continuously asking questions. 
    • Makes suggestions to optimise equipment, systems and processes. 
    • Share and implement new ideas regarding work. 
    • Must be able to balance in the field. 
    • Must have rotated to the low speed balancing and passed a test piece. 
    • Monitor the performance of new technology and report back. 
    • Must have some understanding of test system. 
    • Achieve safety and risk objectives. 
    • Apply safety in all practices, specifically project planning and execution. 
    • Ensure safe project execution and implement safe work procedures. 
    • Resolve work obstacles and issues positively and quickly. 
    • Review compliance and follow up against the standards and objectives. 
    • Develop suitable technical proposals based on practical and theoretical knowledge.

    Technician Analyser X2

    Purpose of Job

    • To develop effective analyser equipment strategies and implementation of optimised solutions. Responsibilities include successful execution of analyser projects and provide expert assistance to the maintenance team, as well as co-ordination between analyser department and service providers.

    Functional Outputs:

    • Ensure that work standards are met according to quality, quantity and due dates.
    • Achieving delivery targets (KPI’s, products, services; BU and Discipline Specific).
    • Governance of analyser technology including liaising with procurement and suppliers.
    • Resolve calibration issues on analyser instruments and calibration gas quality problems.
    • Repair and fault finding on complex analyser systems to support maintenance teams.
    • Oversee IM related matters and software back-ups (Including PLC’s & maxiflex units).
    • Ensure compliance to Sasol and SANS standards.
    • Generate management reports from SAP (Quality, calibration records, maintenance history)
    • Support reliability engineering, facilitate RCA’s and execute APT studies.
    • Verify drawings and designs w.r.t. analytical systems.
    • Ensure compliance to document management.
    • Awareness, focus and control of cost/ budget.
    • Apply safety in all practices, specifically project planning and execution, and achieve safety and risk objectives.
    • Support management with plant integrity feedback reports and meetings.
    • Responsible for QA/QC on online analysers and shelters.
    • Proper scoping of Analyser projects and basic engineering.
    • Manage MOC systems.
    • Give guidance the team.
    • Implementing process and procedure where there are gaps.
