    FA Practitioner Projects and Capex (Steelpoort)

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

    • To maintain projects and capex support systems in ensuring efficient execution of the capital investment portfolio.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY:

    • Manage SHEQ compliance within the Section through effective use of the Safety Toolbox
    • Utilize the Information Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status

    BUSINESS PROCESSES

    • Ensure the correct application of Accounting Principles per IFRS, SARS Legislation and all relevant applicable legislations/standards. 
    • Ensure application and adherence to internal controls to manage risk around project accounting and asset management. (as per Company policies and procedures)
    • Ensure application and adherence to internal control to respond to internal and external audit findings.
    • Ensure effective controls of all levels of work.

    SHAREHOLDER VALUE

    Capital Budgeting

    • Coordinate annual financial budget process for Capital Projects and Capital Assets.

    Project Management

    • Accounting for Project on SAP and at management reporting level
    • Accounting for asset acquisitions as per company policies and procedures (SAP and Management Reporting)

    Fixed Asset Management

    • Management of fixed asset movements from capitalisations, Physical verifications, depreciation control, inter-section movements to disposal.
    • Fixed Asset reporting for month-end, year- end and financial audits.

    Operating leases Maintenance

    • Apply and adhere to controls to manage operating leases.
    • Manage movements of mobile machinery on lease
    • Reporting on leases for month-end, year-end and financial audits.

    Financial Reporting

    • Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Prepare Month-end management accounts and upload on BPC reporting tool.

    Cash Forecasting 

    • Weekly forecast for cash flows for capital funding and operating leases.

    Treasury

    • Loading of payments on Standard Bank online for authorisation/release.

    Additional Reporting

    • Prepare Monthly JV reports and Quarterly Board Meeting reports (Capex Reports and Other Financial Information)
    • Ad-hoc reports as per management and operational requirements.

    Requirements

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS and Experience:

    • BCom Accounting Degree or Accounting/Finance Technikon Diploma
    • Computer Literate MS (Office, Excel and Projects)
    • MS Excel Knowledge Mandatory (Preferably Intermediary/Advanced)
    • SAP IM and PS Modules experience

    Experience:

    • 5 Years relevant experience with preferably 2 years supervisory experience.

    Shift Boss (Steelpoort)

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

    • To supervise the cost-effective execution of all mining work ensuring the achievement of mining and quality targets and to ensure compliance of provisions of the Mine Health and Safety Act, Minerals Act and its Regulations.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY 

    • Ensure SHEQ compliance within the Team through effective use of the Toolbox
    • Utilise the Information Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status

    Supervise the Team:

    • Ensure that the 4.5- and 6-meter-long cable anchors, Osro mats, wire mesh and lacing according to layouts
    • Maintain labour stability by minimising labour turnover
    • Labour complement in line with budget 
    • Manage performance against set targets and competencies
    • Ensure IDP’s are linked to performance results and implemented as per plan
    • Conduct career discussions and implement actions with all identified talent (quarterly)
    • Ensure discipline is maintained (absenteeism, lateness, overtime, misconduct, etc.)
    • Coach and counsel people to ensure improved performance levels
    • Conduct recruitment interviews

    Mining:

    • Inspect all workings in area of responsibility as frequently as may be deemed necessary by the Mine Health and Safety Act
    • Inspect every working face blasted within 48 hrs
    • Inspect all other workings (not blasted) at least once a week at intervals not exceeding 10 days
    • Daily during shift inspection visit all miners under his charge and satisfy himself that work is proceeding safely under every mine section
    • Record findings in the logbook
    • Ensure adequate material is available for safe production. 
    • Measure blasted panels and plot on survey plan.

    Tactical Planning:

    • Monitor and control the Tactical Plan
    • Achieve Mining Budget

    Requirements

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

    Minimum qualifications:

    • Grade 12 / N3
    • Shift Boss Certificate
    • Blasting Certificate
    • Minerals Act Regulation (15.1) 
    • Mine Overseer Certificate (Mining) Will be an advantage

    Additional qualifications:

    • Medical fitness as per organisational requirements
    • Relevant Health and Safety Course 

    Required Experience:

    • At Least 5 years relevant experience in Mining, preferably 2-year supervisory experience
    • Secondary Support and Drilling and installation of long anchors experience

    Maintenance Artisan Electrician (Steelpoort)

    Purpose of the Job:

    • To safely carry out preventive maintenance and repairs to Surface and Plants electrical equipment in line with documented work orders.

    Job Responsibilities:

    SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY

    • Maintain and repair electrical parts, components and equipment 
    • Comply with MHSA, Mine standards and procedures.
    • Ensure that installations comply with statutory regulations, conform to safety standard and planned maintenance system requirements 
    • Ensure awareness of relevant COP content
    • Complete breakdown work order, create notification, provide feedback and generate orders on the SAP system.
    • Adhere to lock-out procedure.

    UNPLANNED INTERVENTIONS:

    • Adhere to the lock-out procedure and risk requirements before work commence.
    • Attend to breakdowns safely and quickly.
    • Capture all data related to the stoppage to assist in determining the root cause.
    • Assist with electrical lockouts to other non - electrical discipline persons.

    PLANNED INTERVENTIONS:

    • Perform isolation and issue lockout documents
    • Record all data related to the stoppage on the work order
    • Handover the equipment back to production and report to the control room

    ROTABLES MANAGEMENT:

    • Change out item
    • Transport damaged rotable to lay down area
