    Control Room Operator

    Description

    • The purpose of this position is to continuously monitor all process parameters to ensure safe and effective operation of the production plant according to operating procedures and standards.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Control and monitor all process equipment through information received from the HMI System
    • Act promptly on process defects as indicated by the HMI System
    • Identify and report any potentially unsafe conditions
    • Coordinating Process Operators and Attendants on the shift to act promptly on process defects
    • Report abnormal and unusual conditions immediately

    Description

    • The purpose of this position is to coordinate maintenance for an engineering stream according to operational requirements and equipment/asset technical specifications and standards (planned maintenance).

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Set Engineering targets according to Production and Engineering requirements

    Junior Engineer: Operational Readiness

     

    Description

    • The Junior Engineer: Operational Readiness provide support to Operational Readiness projects inclusive of project setup (MTAC, SharePoint, Smartsheet, PowerBI dashboards), internal and external meeting management, consolidation of deliverables (OR budget, ORS, list of SOPs, training matrices, OR chapter/report), support to external consultants, project site visit reconciliation (travel and expense claims). Project progress versus effort versus cost reconciliation (earned value management). Manage close-off periods to prevent back dating and changing of data.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Cost control functions inclusive of incurred versus budgeted hours per resource, project reconciliation, monthly invoicing, cash flow forecasting, 3-month revenue, COS and NRT forecasts, update of actual cash flow based on invoice to-date
    • Update of weekly dashboards for OR project and resource management. Support efforts to control costs to achieve a sustainable gross and net profit margin.
    • General month-end and administrative duties of the OR department.
    • Pipeline management, timekeeping and update of Upland. Upload and train new employees on the system. Ensure all timesheets are approved on a weekly basis. Correlate hours submitted by consultants to that what was approved and loaded on Upland. Manage consultant timesheets, get invoices, and ensure timesheets get approved.
    • Proposal development and cost scoping. Coordinate converted consultant CVs to Minopex format and ensure team CVs are regularly updated. Compile any additional material required as part of the tender process. Manage proposal register. Project costing and resource forecast.
    • Development work to regionalise and globalise our OR framework. Competent in the use of AI. Update of MTAC flat files, development of budgeting tool, scheduling tool, creating end-to-end solution on MTAC from study phase to project execution. Assist to develop templates and frameworks. Systemise & develop waste free product delivery mechanisms. Benchmarking and development of database against other projects / industry. Develop case studies and help with lessons learnt on completion of projects.
    • Ad-hoc functions such as consolidate annual budget, project forecasts, tax and transfer pricing audits, consultant agreements, manhour reports, tracking of software licenses and users, strategy development
    • General & administration: Create personnel files for all employees and consultants. Medical bookings which include booking request letters for the OR team and consultants. Save medical reports in personnel files. Collect case studies post project completion. Track team software licenses issued. Manage SharePoint access user permissions and security groups. Ensure all OR generated material (proposals, reports, CVs, case studies, etc.) follow the correct format and branding.
    • Collaborate with team members, project leaders and internal and external stakeholders to effectively meet task/project requirements and deadlines to the satisfaction of the Project Manager and or Client.
    • Take ownership of their own development, through initiative and identification of opportunities to broaden skill set.
    • A self-starter who is results and action orientated, and who displays a positive and energetic attitude

    Maintenance Data Capturer

    Description

    Senior Metallurgist

    Description

    • The purpose of this position is to continuously monitor production outputs and optimise process efficiency in line with plant capacity and sound processing principles.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ensure that Process activities are integrated and coordinated.
    • Establish process data monitoring, automation, reporting, and accounting systems.

    • Conduct cost analysis exercises to evaluate the viability of implementing projects and make necessary recommendations for changes in the process.
    • Perform administrative duties to ensure record accuracy and availability and budget compliance.
    • Drive continuous process performance improvement initiatives.
    • Submit monthly technical metallurgical plant performance reporting and feedback

    Qualification Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering
    • Valid driver’s licence code B, EB or C1

    Experience and Skills Requirements

    • 5 – 8 years’ technical and production experience in a mineral processing environment, of which 2 years’ must be as a Plant Metallurgist
    • Technically skilled in froth flotation process
    • Process modelling and process control experience would be advantageous.
    • Oxide flotation experience would be advantageous.
    • Computer literate and highly skilled in MS Office suite

    Description

    • The purpose of this position is to issue and receive goods according to Minopex requirements and Stores Procedures.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Receive and issue goods by verifying the various source documents to confirm validity of the transaction
    • Ensure correct allocation, storage and stacking of stock items according to product requirements and sound storing practices, i.e. storage of hazardous materials and the display of Materials Safety Data Sheet
    • Record and capture receipts on the system to ensure accuracy and completeness of stock information
    • Print labels / barcodes and tag items for correct stock identification and storage
    • Correct binning and storing of items according to the stock system
    • Timeous and accurate picking of stock according to requisitions to ensure availability to internal clients
    • Record and capture issuances on the system to ensure accuracy and completeness of stock information
    • Perform daily housekeeping activities according to organisational requirements
    • Perform cycle and stock counts according to Company policies and standards or any ad-hoc counts
    • Check the Forklift on a daily basis according to Company requirements and report deviations to the Stores Controller
    • Use lifting equipment as required for receipt and issuing of goods according to Safety and Operating procedures
