    Manager, Financial Risk Management- Market Risk

    Description of the role and purpose of the job:

    • As part of the Quantitative valuation and market risk team, you will work alongside a team of capital market specialists and will be able to quickly build upon your existing industry skills to become an expert in your field. You will be expected to lead projects and contribute to developing and nurturing our existing talent pool.
    • Focus on preparation, delivery, reporting and evaluation of the results in response to the needs of stakeholders and external regulators will be key for the successful candidate.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Ability to work within a project team and take responsibility for the delivery of quality project deliverables.
    • Manage tracks of work in accordance with projected timelines, budgets and quality standards
    • Gather and translate business requirements for treasury, trading and risk system solution design
    • Liaise with the different business and technical stakeholders to ensure successful risk and treasury solution configuration
    • Ability to define target business processes and ideally design target operating models
    • Actively support business development activities and thought leadership projects
    • Integrate with the KPMG community, both locally and internationally, to identify and convert opportunities for business growth.

    Description of the role and purpose of the job:

    • Seeking a dynamic individual with highly quantitative skills within the credit risk modelling space with advanced academics and strong communication skills. The role will be for credit risk quantitative analyst Assistant Manager / Senior Consultant.

    Key responsibilities:

    •  Supporting with credit risk model developments and validation for provisioning and capital modelling purposes.

    EUC Specialist

    Description of the role and purpose of the job:

    • The EUC Specialist is responsible for overseeing and executing all technical requirements for development of the End User Computing requirements for KPMG South Africa.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Design, build, deployment and maintenance of the end user image (Global Desktop), based on what is provided by ITS Global, and in terms of global standards, business requirements and best practice, for KPMG SA and Africa Shared Services customers.
    • Maintenance of the Group Policy for EUC environments, including AGPM and the Policy management of the desktop environment for KPMG SA. Support for GPO for Africa Shared Services countries is only for escalations.
    • Responsible for administration, management and deployment of SCCM end-user components, such as software deployment, security updates (patching), advertisements and collections, for KPMG SA and Africa Shared Services customers.
    • Reporting for all SCCM end-user related elements, including Patch compliance for KPMG SA and remediation in this area.
    • Support and administer the Intune environment, including responsibility for policy creation and administration, ensuring device compliance, and second level support for end-user interactions in this area.
    • Provide 3rd level and escalation support for core applications included in the standard Desktop environment, including Microsoft 365, Acrobat, Edge Chromium, etc.
    • Ensuring all workstations are compliant with the latest virus definitions and ability to resolve errors using Intune

    Relevant Tertiary/IT qualification

    • Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft SCCM, including OSD/Task Sequences, Client deployment, Security Updates, and issue remediation
    • Hands-on experience in Office 365 and Intune will be advantageous
    • Comfortable to lead in their area of expertise, but also able to follow as required by the team
    • Good organisational skills to ensure effective planning and prioritisation takes place regularly
    • Proven experience supporting core business applications for a medium to large firm at a 2nd\3rd level

    Senior Tax Consultant - Johannesburg

    Purpose of the Job:

    • To provide a wide range of tax process and technology advisory services to a large portfolio of clients (internal and external). Work in multidisciplinary teams, including various Tax teams, Technology analysts and Data & Analytical teams across the firm.

    Key job duties or responsibilities:

    • Basic operational support for Data and Analytics solutions including database administration, database backup and restore.
    • Perform the Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) process of financial data for all tax technology projects.
    • Troubleshooting and debugging of ETL components used including SQL, Alteryx, Azure Data Factory and other solutions.
    • Visualising data sets for analysis using data visualisation tools such as Power BI and QlikView.
    • Assist with execution and improvement of local/global solutions and other product offerings.
    • Design and develop data models for automation and analytical purposes.
    • Drive efficiencies through automation and enablement of technology for tax reporting requirements using technologies such as UIPath, Alteryx, Power Platform etc.
    • Analyse and understand the flow of transactional data across financial systems and how they impact the company’s direct and indirect tax declarations and obligations.
    • Advise clients on how to sustain tax data quality standards in financial systems to enhance tax processes, operations and effectiveness of tax reporting.
    • Prepare clear, sound, accurate working papers and reports containing work procedures, findings, conclusions and recommendations.
    • Review the configuration of ERP systems for the management of direct and indirect tax to ensure conformity with the relevant standards.
    • Contribute to pursuit/sales efforts to meet budgetary targets (form part of team to meet with clients to sell tax technology).
