    Benefits Officer

    About The Role
    We are looking for a Benefits Officer, to run with the day-to-day administration and advisory activities required to support RBM employee benefit programs. Planning, strong admin /support skills are extremely important qualities for the role coupled benefits experience in a similar role and ability to work without daily supervision.

    Reporting to the HR Team Lead EDM and working in a collaborative community within the HR department department, you will

    • Support employees, HR and Leaders with Benefits related activities
    • (ie Special leave requests, Share plan, Education grants, Medical aid, Provident Fund, Disability Fund)
    • Regular liaison with employees and external service providers
    • Attendance, note taking and provision of feedback in Trustee meetings
    • Manage the Distribution of death benefits process and related activities
    • Coordinate and advise on ill health /disability absences and process claims or requests relating to the benefit.
    • Assume responsibility for timely follow up and provision of information to relevant parties to enable decision making
    • Guide and advise employees on benefit options plans and processes
    • Coordinate and advise on ill health /disability absences and process claims or requests relating to the benefit.
    • Maintain /update employee records / systems with relevant information
    • Track and monitor benefits activities (ie. Annual option changes, Etc.)
    • Collaborate with HR, Leaders, Clinic and external support parties for effective communication/action

    What You’ll Bring

    • Degree in Human Resources or related
    • Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle
    • Minimum of 3 years proven experience in benefits administration
    • Understanding/interpretation of benefit plans and procedures (retirement, health, disability etc.) and local/company regulations
    • Experience in SAP HR is a plus
    • High level of Proficiency in MS Office and understanding of data recording and analysis
    • Excellent organizational skills, communication, and interpersonal abilities
    • Ability to work independently and with a high attention to detail
    • Reliable and adherence to confidentiality
    • Fluency in indigenous languages

    Fixed Asset Business Partner (Fixed Term Contract)

    About The Role
    We are looking for a Fixed Asset Business Partner to assist business with the maintenance of its fixed asset registers and linking the individual assets to its functional location in SAP
    Reporting to Manager Financial Accounting & Treasury and working in a collaborative community within local team, you will be performing the following duties

    • Reconciliation of the Group and Statutory reporting fixed asset registers to fixed assets valuations;
    • Linking of functional locations to master fixed assets in SAP;
    • Physical verification and useful life assessment of all assets;
    • Alignment between all the different fixed asset registers maintained in SAP;
    • Alignment of useful lives and depreciation keys between all fixed asset areas;
    • Clean-up of fixed asset registers (including but not limited to disposals, impairments etc.);
    • Clearing of manual asset accounts to include all assets in fixed asset registers;
    • Assist with any ad-hoc requests linked to fixed assets.
    • Ensure Group and Statutory reporting fixed asset registers align and comply with Company and Group policies, IFRS and Company tax legislation.

    • Completed SAIPA/SAICA articles

    Senior Project Engineer: Energy Management

    About The Role
    We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer Energy Management to plan and oversee decarbonisation projects throughout the project cycle from the initial idea through to completion by coordinating people and processes to deliver projects on time, within budget and with the desired outcomes aligned to objectives withing the Energy Management Department .

    The Energy Management Department is responsible to ensure the development, implementation, monitoring and sustainability of the company’s energy management and emissions reduction initiatives in line with company’s strategy and statutory requirements.

    Reporting to the Manager Energy Management and working in a collaborative community within local team, you will be performing the following duties

    • Ensure effective Technical and Project execution - compile, develop and assist with project planning, scoping and approval toward supporting execution. Ensure effective Project management and Construction
    • Monitor progress, take appropriate corrective action and ensure adherence to programs and liaison between the various stakeholders.
    • Cost and budget control - Compilation of the projects budget, monitoring and forecasting expenditure on a monthly basis
    • SHEQ management - ensure projects are executed in a safe and timeous manner in terms of time, quality, design cost, closeout and final handover. Ensure safety, health and environmental standards and practices are implemented for assigned projects.What you’ll bring
    • 4-year Engineering Degree.
    • Project Management qualification and Registered Pr Tech / Pr Eng with ECSA. (Advantageous).
    • EB Licence
    • 5 years project management in a heavy industry mining and smelter environment with relevant construction management.
    • Experience in handling commercial aspects of renewable power plant projects from construction to financial close.
    • Multi-disciplinary Project management experience

    Senior Specialist Operational Technology /ICT

    About The Role
    We are looking for a Senior Specialist Operational Technology. This role is responsible for shaping and planning the OT/ICT requests to provide value adding outcomes by having a good understanding of RBM’s business strategies and priorities ensuring the identification, evaluation and prioritization generates the highest business value as well as managing risks.

    The role is also accountable for defining the optimised technical solution to deliver the Rio Tinto business group priorities, ensuring their alignment, cost efficiencies and value adding outcomes

    Reporting to the Manager Portfolio, Demand, Shaping and working in a collaborative community within team, you will be performing the following duties

    • Engages RBM key business stakeholders to align business and technology-enabled opportunities that support delivery of business strategy and drives value
    • Accountable for defining business requirements and completing necessary documents and procedures in the project phases.
    • Work together with a team of experts to define the target solution and delivery proposal across all Infrastructure domains and Applications - high level solution architecture and delivery proposal
    • Work closely with operational teams to ensure solutions defined do not introduce new risks to the current environments
    • Work closely with RT Process Function SMEs to ensure solutions defined are aligned to their business processes
    • Input into business case benefits, return on investment and opportunity briefs (CEA) for business stakeholder approvals
    • Maintain compliance with the different Group-wide and IS&T standards (cyber-security and others)
    • Be a champion of IS&T – build trusted advisor status by always delivering what you say and bringing advisory capability and technical knowledge (supported by cross functional teams).

    What You’ll Bring

    • 8 or more years' experience in operational technology and ICT systems
    • Bachelor's degree/B Tech in information systems, engineering or related discipline
    • Extensive related project experience would be advantageous
    • Ability to define strategic solutions across a large organization, aligned to enterprise standards and processes
    • Be a Business & System SME, technologist/evangelist to drive innovation and continuous improvement
    • Experience facilitating and leading multidisciplined, high-performance cross functional teams.
    • Experience developing and monitoring delivery of efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems.
    • A passion for technology
    • Knowledge of Waterfall, Agile & DevOps/Product delivery methodology
