    Project Manager (Financial Markets)

    Job Description

    • We are seeking a dynamic Project Manager with a background in management consulting to join our growing team in Cape Town / Johannesburg. This is a hybrid role requiring in‑office presence three days per week.
    • As part of a collaborative and high‑performing environment, you will lead strategic projects across financial services, asset management, banking, and insurance.     Key Requirements

    • 4+ years in management consulting or project management, ideally within financial services.
    • Proven experience leading projects in banking, insurance, or asset management.
    • Strong problem‑solving and analytical ability, with a consulting toolkit (story lining, frameworks, structured communication).
    • Ability to thrive in agile, fast‑paced environments.
    • Clear communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

    Technical & Domain Knowledge

    • Familiarity with financial services processes (risk, compliance, operations, transformation).
    • Understanding of regulatory and governance frameworks in banking or insurance.
    • Exposure to digital transformation, process optimisation, or operating model design is advantageous.

    Soft Skills

    • Young, dynamic, and adaptable—comfortable with ambiguity and excited to learn.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
    • A mindset that balances professionalism with authenticity.

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, Commerce, or related field.
    • Relevant certifications (PMP, Prince2, Agile) are advantageous.

    Nice to Have

    • International consulting or project experience.
    • Exposure to contracting or interim assignments.

    Job Description

    • We are seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Business Analyst to join a high-performing analytics and delivery team supporting a leading retail organisation. This is a contract role requiring four days per week in-office, working in a fast-paced, data-rich environment.
    • You will sit at the intersection of business, data, and delivery, translating retail performance questions into clear analytical requirements and actionable insights. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working close to the business, making sense of complex data landscapes, and enabling smarter decision-making through trusted BI solutions.

    Key responsibilities and output areas include the following:

    Business Analysis & Insight Enablement

    • Translate business questions and retail performance needs into clear BI and reporting requirements.

    • Analyse existing reports and dashboards to identify gaps, overlaps, and opportunities to improve insight quality.

    • 4+ years’ experience as a business intelligence business analyst or similar analytics-focused role.
    • Proven experience working with BI platforms, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
    • Strong ability to translate business needs into analytical and technical requirements.
    • Experience working in data-driven environments, ideally within retail or consumer-facing industries.
    • Comfortable working on-site four days per week.

    Technical & Domain Knowledge

    • Strong understanding of BI concepts, metrics, KPIs, and reporting frameworks.
    • Experience working with tools such as Qlik Sense or similar BI platforms.
    • Ability to work with complex data sets and collaborate with data engineering teams.
    • Retail domain exposure (sales, margin, stock, supply chain, customer behaviour) is advantageous.
