    Apprentice Level 1 (Hyundai Germiston)

    Job Description

    Hyundai Automotive S.A. is looking for 1st year Apprentice to join our dynamic team:

    • The Apprentice scope will include but not be limited to the following:
    • REMOVE, RECONDITION & REPLACE CYLINDER HEADS
    • DISMANTLE, SERVICE, REPAIR & ASSEMBLE ENGINE BLOCK & WITH MAIN COMPONENTS

    Agent: Customer Service | Europcar | Umhlanga Branch

    Job Outputs:

    • Effectively handle all aspects of the customer’s check-out and check-in rental transaction in accordance with company, quality control, claims and accident procedures.
    • Making, amending, cancelling and monitoring reservations as required.
    • Provide excellent customer service, effectively assisting with customer queries.
    • Various admin and general office duties, for example capturing fuel, VRV’s, non revs etc., following up on overdue rentals, scanning, partial billing, fleet movement control, claims reports, rental deposits, handing in and recording of all customers lost property recoveries from vehicles.
    • Responsible for the security and quality control of vehicles and other company property.
    • Identification and reporting of expired licenses, service due vehicle and any other issues not conforming to our quality standards.
    • Adherence to good housekeeping and general cleanliness standards for branch environment.

    Qualifications and Experience

    Minimum Experience:

    • Minimum of 2 year front office/ customer service experience.

    Minimum Qualification:

    • NQF level 4 (Matric or equivalent)

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Code 8 driver’s license – must have at least 1 years driving experience.
    • Computer literate.

    Specific Role Responsibilities

    • Develop the business to reach set sales targets for the month.
    • Drive specific strategies to retain and grow the existing customer base.
    • Manage customer expectations to ensure effective delivery of service.

    • Identify and venture into new revenue streams.

    Job Outputs: 

    • Cleaning of vehicle interior and exterior to our high standards.
    • Vehicle quality control, including identification and reporting of expired license vehicles and any other issue that does not conform to our quality standards.
    • Refueling vehicles, checking tyre pressure and oil/water/other fluids after every rental.
    • Delivering vehicles to customers in accordance with our procedures.
    • Handling vehicle check-ins in accordance with company, quality control and claims procedures.

    Qualifications and Experience

    Minimum Qualification:

    • NQF Level 4(Grade 12 or equivalent)

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Valid, unendorsed Code 8 driver’s license (at least 2 years old)
    • Computer literate (basic level will suffice)
    • Able to read a map.

    Receptionist | Europcar | Head Office - 4 months (Maternity Reliever)

    Job Outputs:

    • Effectively and professionally handling incoming calls, including the accurate taking of messages and speedy relay thereof to relevant people.
    • Professionally meet visitors and ensure that they are taken care of.
    • Ensure that the reception area is kept clean and tidy at all times.
    • Managing the diary for reserving the boardrooms, and timeously ensuring that they are set up as reserved.
    • Provide callers with accurate information, taking care to always be knowledgeable and updated on current products, processes, policies.
    • Assist with various administrative duties in order to maximize available capacity. This includes processing Sage requisitions, creating orders within Sage, data capturing, filing invoices and orders created, etc.
    • Assist with relieving switchboard
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications and Experience

    Minimum Experience:

    • 1 year of relevant reception and administration experience.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the recruitment function: posting job ads, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and providing feedback to applicants and hiring teams.
    • Support the induction process for new hires, ensuring a smooth and welcoming onboarding experience.
    • Coordinate and assist with training and development initiatives across the company.
    • Help drive continuous employee engagement activities, promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
    • Maintain an understanding of HR disciplinary processes and assist with related documentation.
    • Handle all HR-related administrative duties and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
    • Ensure accurate record-keeping and filing of employee documents, both electronically and physically.
    • Act as a point of contact for internal and external HR queries, providing timely and professional assistance.

    Qualifications and Experience

    Education and Experience

    • Grade 12 Certificate with a relevant tertiary qualification (completed or in progress).
    • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in an HR or related role (advantageous).
    • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English (Afrikaans proficiency is an added advantage).
    • Strong administrative skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Comfortable with computer-based work and HR software.
    • Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively at all levels.
    • Own transport is essential.
    • No criminal record.
