    Excavator Grab Operator

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The Excavator Grab Operator`s primary purpose is to provide support as dictated by operational requirements in the form of moving scrap metal material in and around the yard. The following tasks will include, but are not limited to:

    RESPONSIBILITIES (NOT LIMITED TO THE BELOW)

    • Carry out daily inspections of the Grab machine and report any faults
    • Do general maintenance and cleaning of the grab machine
    • Move and place steel, bags, bins and other steel products where instructed
    • Load and off-load steel materials on and off trucks or containers
    • Ensure safe loading and offloading of customer vehicles as per operational demand
    • Ensure minimal transaction time used per customer whilst providing an efficient service at all times
    • Accurately sorting and grading materials for the loading of the dispatch truck at all times
    • Complete check lists and log sheets
    • Maintain safe working procedures at all times
    • Abide by the regulations as set out in the O.H.S.A and company policies

    QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE

    • Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
    • Valid Grab licence and/or certificate
    • 2 – 5 years relevant experience
    • Previous experience in a physically demanding working environment would be advantageous

    Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    • Providing support to the department and Artisans with routine and preventative maintenance
    • Providing support and assistance with repairs on various equipment and machines

    Fitters Workshop Administrator

    Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    • Managing email requests and correspondence
    • Managing all telephonic requests and correspondence
    • Managing and processing of quotations and invoicing for repairs, parts and tools
    • Ensure that Critical parts that are to be kept at stores are updated regularly
    • Ordering all parts and spares from the internal stores

    CNC Programmer/QC Specialist

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The Machine Shop department has a vacancy for a dedicated CNC Programmer/QC Specialist. The main objective of the CNC Programmer/QC Specialist is to fully optimize the functionality of our machinery and to ensure that every product meets the highest quality and efficiency standards. The successful candidate will be required to:

    • Write programs with Edgecam (Milling and Laths) on 3,4 and 5 axis machines
    • Program and setup Siemens CNC
    • Review and re-test current programs in order to eliminate any errors
    • Monitor all programs to ensure they meet specifications and safety policies
    • Analyze job orders, drawings specifications and design data to calculate dimensions, tool selections, machine speeds and feed rates
    • Write standard operating procedures or instructions to outline processes
    • Creating, optimizing, and troubleshooting machine programs, ensuring that each job runs seamlessly with minimal downtime and minimal waste
    • Thorough inspections, early deficiency identification, and implementing continuous process improvement throughout the production cycle
    • Ensure that every product delivered is of high quality and according to drawing tolerances
    • Assist the Manager with coaching the team in regards with technical support, planning of work and ordering of the necessary material and tools
    • Monitor quality, accuracy and efficiency of teams work in terms of finished parts, tools or sub-assemblies and report any issues or possible improvements required to Manager
    • Completing urgent/critical jobs as operational requirements demand

    Qualifying Experience:

    Electrical Manager

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Build, install and commission new electrical systems
    • Review electrical installations for compliance
    • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on MV and LV Systems
    • Knowledge of instrumentation and control systems, temperature, pressure, flow etc.
