    ISC Imports Logistics Co-Ordinator

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Co-ordinate bookings with international forwarder by ensuring cargo are transported the most cost-effective way, meeting customer and supplier needs
    • Approve all shipment bookings in Import system and with air forwarders in accordance with Woolworth’s pre-shipment technology release authorization process
    • Manage all import documents from suppliers ensuring compliance to company policy, local country and international laws and procedures
    • Prepare and submit relevant import documentation to finance for establishment of Letter of Credits and for payment as per payment terms
    • Prepare and edit customs clearances for all import shipments in accordance with company policy and legislative requirements
    • Arrange all inspections as per legislative requirements (Custom Stops, Anti- Smuggling Daff, States Vet, NRCS etc.)
    • Prepare Cargo Due documents for submission to NPA
    • Apply for Import permits as appropriate
    • Prepare delivery documents for Forwarding/Clearing agent/Warehouse & Shipping Lines to effect collection and delivery of shipments
    • Signoff all service providers invoices for payment in accordance with rate agreements and SLA
    • Submit all import documents to WW Finance as per SLA
    • Complete the landed cost prior to vessel arrival
    • Communicate with import related authorities, customers and suppliers in all relevant territories and countries, as necessary to ensure efficient, positive and lawful relations, support and activities
    • Attending to incidents logged on CA Unicentre Service Desk
    • Investigate and process relevant import claims
    • Ensure PO, Shipment data and all events as per critical path is updated timeously in import system
    • Consolidate data from import systems and publish to buy departments and customers
    • Meet regularly with customers to provide guidance and information on all import related matters
    • Adhere to corporate governance principles
    • Participate in OEC process     

    Key Competencies

    Systems, processes & Technical competencies:

    • Thorough knowledge of delivery process
    • Thorough knowledge of Customs & Excise documentation
    • Thorough knowledge of Harmonized Customs Tariff classifications
    • Thorough knowledge of suppliers document layout (invoice, packing list)
    • Thorough knowledge of Incoterms
    • Knowledge of warehousing processes: receipt & dispatch
    • Knowledge of EDI to Customs (Compu-Clear Wisetech or similar)
    • Knowledge of port and shipping line procedures
    • Knowledge of the Customs & Excise regulations
    • Knowledge of VAT requirements
    • Computer literate and ability to analyse figures and information

    Finance and or Business: 

    • Ability to analyse and interpret financial and performance indicators at a detailed level
    • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the business measures and targets relating to own role

    • Have an understanding of relevant legislation

    • Ability to quickly develop a knowledge and understanding of the suppliers, customer and service provider business and demonstrates a passion for customer delivery

    • What theoretical knowledge (e.g. degree / diploma) does the job require?
    • Relevant Tertiary qualification (i.e. Diploma, B-tech qualification or Degree)
    • Supply Chain Management certificate / diploma an advantage
    • Understanding of related technical terms, processes and procedures pertaining International supply chain
    • Proficient in working on Excel and a Customs clearance system

    Workforce Management Specialist

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Integrate with business representatives to understand new business requirements and develop Business Requirement Specifications with the outside vendor.
    • Design and deliver an easy-to-use tool that enables better service and increases profitability.
    • Give input into and assist with design and documentation of system specifications.
    • Develop process and systems test plans as per business specification.
    • Create and establish test environment and facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT).
    • Provide input into policies, process, and procedures for the Workforce management system.
    • Provide input into the system implementation for enhancements and new releases.
    • Build changes to the Workforce business model and conduct system testing.
    • Monitor outputs of interfaces, investigate, and communicate findings on error logs and influence resolutions.
    • Provide procedural support, respond to logged incidents and facilitate resolutions.
    • Monitor software releases and documentation releases, ensuring that all latest copies are issued, and version control is in place.
    • Provide input into service standards with external suppliers SLA’s and ensure that business requirements are met according to SLA’s.
    • Keep up to date with current and new business developments and initiatives, analyse and assess the impact of these on the Supply chain processes and make recommendations to key stakeholders.
    • To ensure effective reporting on Workforce management KPI’s to all stakeholder groups.
    • Ensure that all Time and Attendance hardware is commissioned properly and maintained across all sites.
    • Manage the Integration and change impacts of/ between peer systems e.g. People Soft, Triceps, Oracle.
    • Agree and build site specific model requirements for new initiatives, by interacting with key stakeholders and project team members.
    • Provide senior management with performance updates as and when requested.
    • Manage the Workforce management contracts including monitoring licenses and upgrades.

    WHAT EXPERIENCE (E.G., PREVIOUS EXPOSURE) DOES THE JOB REQUIRE?

    • 5 years’ Management experience
    • 8 years’ General Retail/Supply chain experience
