    SETA Funded Programs Coordinator

    Requirements:

    • Matric plus relevant qualification coupled with at least 5 years’ experience managing  SETA-funded programs.
    • Extensive knowledge of the SETA landscape and Discretionary Grant funding application processes.
    • The incumbent must have a good understanding and knowledge of legislation governing skills development.
    • Ability to plan, control and organise work and take own initiative.
    • Financial management and administrative skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
    • Computer skills (Master MS Excel) and an ability to work with data.
    • Sound facilitation and presentation skills.
    • Data analysis, interpretation and accuracy.
    • Interpersonal skills and conflict resolution skills.
    • Good communication and negotiation skills.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license.
    • Sound report-writing skills.

    Duties of funded programmes such as learnerships, internships, and bursaries include:

    • Managing the application process and ensuring that all applications are processed efficiently and within the given timeframe.
    • Coordinate interviews with potential candidates for learnerships, internships, or bursaries.
    • Manage funding contracts between the organization and external stakeholders, such as the SETAs, NSF, or donor organizations. Ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of the funding agreements.
    • Maintain accurate records of all learnerships, internships, and bursaries that are currently running or that have been completed. Track progress against the agreed objectives and measure the program's effectiveness.
    • Provide mentoring and coaching to SETA Academic Support program to recipients’ learners. The incumbent must play a critical role in ensuring that they receive the support they need to complete the program successfully.
    • Monitor and evaluate the learnerships, internships, or bursary programs to ensure that they are meeting their objectives.
    • Compliance and reporting with the requirements of the various funding organizations. Ensure that all reports are submitted on time and are accurate.
    • Relationship Management with external stakeholders, such as training providers or funding organizations to ensure mutually beneficial and that the interests of the organization are well represented.
    • Assist with other learning and development duties such as WSP/ATR

    Part-Time Lecturer

    Requirements: 

    Academic route

    • A Masters degree in Public Law coupled with two years' teaching experience in a higher education institution or five years professional experience.  Preference will be given to South African citizens.

    Professional route

    • A Masters degree in Public Law coupled with five years’ post admission experience. Candidate should be an admitted attorney or advocate.   Preference will be given to South African citizens

    JUNIOR LECTURER

    • An LLB degree. Preference will be given to South African citizens

    Duties:

    • Teaching courses in the area of Public Law, Jurisprudence as well as Criminal and Procedural Law  
    • Conduct own research as well as supervise undergraduate and post graduate students
    • Publish research output in accredited journals
    • Serve on academic and administrative committees as and when needed            
    • Provide other administrative duties within the University

    International Relations Officer

    Requirements

    A relevant Bachelor’s Degree coupled with four years relevant experience. The candidate should have extensive knowledge of diplomacy as well as excellent stakeholder engagement and relations skills. The candidate should have very excellent computer skills as well as be functional within a team context.

    Head: Records Mangement and Archiving (B736)

    Requirements:

    An Honours degree or an equivalent in Records Management and / or Archiving or Information Science or equivalent qualification coupled with at least seven years (7) preferable in records Management and Archiving preferably in Higher Education or a large organization.  The successful candidate must have in-depth knowledge of relevant current legislation and records management practices.  Computer literacy and English proficiency are essential in this position.  Excellent administration, financial management and supervisory skills coupled with good interpersonal relations are key requirements.

    Duties:

    • Development, review and implementation of records and archiving policies and procedures.
    • Facilitate the management of access to information in terms of Promotion to Access of Information Act.
    • Establishment and evaluation of existing systems.
    • Monitor and Evaluate the application records management practices in accordance with policies and regulations.
    • Ensure the proper implementation of the approved file plans.
    • Development of systematic disposal programme and procedure.
    • Development and Management of Archiving and Records Section budget and resources.
    • Management of Human Resources Development within Records and Archiving Section.
