    Maintenance Planner - Sasolburg

    Job Description    

    • Knowledge and skills to create a job package from the work request.
    • Ensure the work package contains all relevant information about the required resources, i.e. labour, materials, equipment availability, services and works instructions to ensure that the work can be executed in a safe, effective and efficient manner
    • If required, obtain technical input from the Engineering Manager or SME, i.e. technical advice, inspection plan, isometric-drawings(s), etc.
    • Ensuring that spares and materials are always available before issuing work package.
    • Obtain “quality feedback” from the execution group or from the maintenance work co-ordinator to optimize future planning.
    • Archives the plans and data of repetitive jobs for future use.
    • If required, attend daily maintenance schedule update meeting with engineers, gatekeeper and maintenance work co-ordinator. Decides together as a team which jobs to be included in the daily/weekly schedule
    • Ensures that all SHE aspects are taken into account when planning a task. If required, liaise with the SHE appointee.
    • The Planner is responsible for a yearly maintenance schedule. This schedule includes all planned (legal) maintenance inspections, planned production stops, planned maintenance shutdown, major (anticipated) maintenance repairs, etc.
    • Compiling daily, weekly and monthly planned maintenance reports
    • Monitoring and managing the balance between utilizing internal resources vs. labor hire and contractors, based on demand
    • Monitoring, evaluating and analysing maintenance requests
    • Being part of the team investigating breakdowns and major failures.
    • Updating the plant maintenance resources and equipment schedule as a result of the failure investigations.
    • Monitoring that the maintenance execution teams are adhering to the maintenance schedule.
    • Managing the active list of work orders
    • Any backlog should be recorded and also communicated to, Engineers, Maintenance Work Co-ordinator and Gatekeeper for action

    Qualifications & Experience    

    • Matric
    • N3 Technical qualification with trade test (essential)
    • SAP PM and MM (desirable)
    • Forklift, Overhead crane (desirable)
    • Knowledge of technical spares (essential)

    Blasting Assistant - Northern Cape

    Job Description    

    • To assist the MMU Controller in managing and operating all aspects of a mobile manufacturing unit (MMU – BLEND truck) in order to meet the customer requirements with the standards and procedures as defined by AECI (OTIF).
    • To Assist the MMU Controller in the carrying out of regular inspections in terms of SABS and World Class on fixed plant and MMUs to identify non-conformances and institute preventative measures as well as to achieve continuous improvement.

    Production Planner - Lilianton

    Job Description    

    • Create job cards in accordance with the macro plan and additional job cards that are not catered for in the macro plan to accommodate unforeseen product requirements.
    • Co-ordinate with the Buyer and Commercial Managers the timings of raw materials and packaging materials’ requirements and supply based on macro plan.
    • Liaise with the Buyer regarding expediting of certain raw materials and packaging materials when required. Set up stockholding of packaging material where applicable.
    • Process stock transfers on Syspro i.r.o packaging, stocked items, raw materials and bulk products covering Warehouses 46, 47 and 45.
    • Submission of relevant documents i.r.o stock transfers via email to relevant Dept.
    • Responsible for stocktake capture i.r.o packaging and filing of stocktake documentation and investigations where there are significant variances.
    • Liaise with external toll manufacturing customers to meet their requirements.
    • Meet with external toll manufacturing customers occasionally to improve customer service levels.
    • Negotiate and update the selling prices for toll manufactured products after consulting with Commercial Manager and Production Manager.
    • Compile quotations in response to new product manufacture/packaging requirements.
    • Arrange the outsourced packing of certain overflow volumes that AECI Plant Health are unable to pack internally.
    • Reconcile stock and yields of outsourced packing.
    • Responsible for stock control at any outsourced packing companies.
    • Develop and update production plan in line with the macro plan.
    • Communicate production plan to Production Manager and Commercial Managers.
    • Ensure lead times for packing and raw materials obtained from the Buyer are adequate.
    • Resolve conflicts regarding production of different products on the same plant in conjunction with the Production Manager.

    • Action changes to production schedule to meet import demands.

    • Generate job cards for submission to Production units.
    • Address various deviations of order quantities from the macro plan.
    • In conjunction with Production ensure that the best utilisation of labour is achieved.
    • Understand cost implications of different production requirements and communicate possible additional costs to relevant parties.
    • Contribute towards management of the level of stockholding to an acceptable level.
    • Together with the Team Leader Quality Assurance, monitor and schedule rework of quarantine stock from redundant warehouses.
    • Match sales requirements with production capacities and liaise with relevant parties to arrive at best possible alternatives.
    • Adopt a tactical approach towards effective production planning process
    • Act as a first signatory for signing of all stocked items and participate in the import ordering process in order to remain informed about supply of stock.

    Qualifications & Experience    

    • Minimum education Matric/Grade 12 with Maths.
    • A tertiary qualification in production planning/supply chain, administration or analytics or related studies advantageous.
    • Minimum 3-5 years post-graduate experience in a similar position within the agricultural field in a chemical manufacturing environment.
    • Previous supervisory experience advantageous.
    • Must be in possession of a valid driver’s license, have own reliable transport and must be medically fit to drive. Would be required to have a pre-employment medical for drivers.
    • Computer literate MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook). Intermediate skills in Excel is preferable.
    • Sound knowledge of SHEQ Quality Systems and organic certification procedures.
    • Possess an in-depth knowledge of Planning and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and have associated experience.
    • Knowledge of the OHS Act as well as Safety, Health and Environment standards.

    Breakdowns:

    • Repair breakdowns that cause unscheduled stoppages

    Ongoing maintenance:

    • Carry out any necessary repairs that can be done during production
    • Hard face welds the mill and mill blower impellers
    • Hard face the bollard and maintain the rail truck off-loading equipment

    Scheduled maintenance:

    • Monthly scheduled maintenance includes a 2-day shutdown on the filtraflo plant and a 1-day shutdown on the genulite plant. During this time routine maintenance must be carried out as specified in the filtraflo and genulite maintenance schedules

    Project work:

    • Manufacture items that may be required as instructed by the Operations Manager
    • Carry out the necessary maintenance to the portable expander plant when required

    Safety:

    • Ensure that the correct safety procedures are adhered to
