    Client Service Consultant: Processing (Prescient Fund Service

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • New Business administration processing. Process account opening applications.
    • Liaising with clients on outstanding requirements
    • Capturing Subscription, Redemption and Switch instructions form
    • Handling FICA requirements and internal AML policy for all clients
    • Processing and setting up of broker fees
    • Implementing and maintaining process controls using workflow management
    • Recording client tax details appropriately
    • Management of internal relationships to ensure prompt client response. Providing support to the CRM and broader client service team with queries as required
    • Daily Finswitch file processing

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

    • Relevant experience of at least 2-4 years in a similar investor services processing role is essential.
    • Experience gained in a similar asset management / unit trust / LISP client service environment where your focus has been on processing investment applications.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Relevant tertiary qualification (or study towards) a BCom, BTech Commerce, Finance, Business Administration highly advantageous.
    • Minimum Matric coupled with a relevant industry relate courses (NQF 5 /6 equivalent)

    Finance and Recons Administrator (Prescient Fund Services)

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Perform daily and monthly cash reconciliations on bank accounts
    • Understand the Unit Trusts Manco environment
    • Ensure all unallocated cash is reported and investigated
    • Perform reconciling of daily payments
    • Processing and reconciliation of Fees and clearing thereof
    • Ensure sufficient cash is available in the physical bank account before transfers
    • Arrange for intraday facility with banks where necessary
    • Capturing to online banking platforms
    • Ensure Transfers are debited and credited timeously
    • Ensure payments are made timeously and accurately
    • Assist auditors – internal and external – with documentation required for the auditors to do their job satisfactorily
    • Ensure resolution of internal and external queries
    • Identify and report any payment or collection failures
    • Responsible for setting up and closing bank accounts as part of Fund Maintenance

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

    • Relevant experience of at least 3-5 years in a related reconciliations role within Financial Services/MANCO client service environment is essential 
    • Sound foundational understanding and exposure to the various applicable legislation including but not limited to:
      • UT Manco environment and operations
      • Knowledge of reconciliations in the Manco to Inflow & Outflow accounts

    Team Leader: Cash (Prescient Fund Services)

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide team leadership for the Cash administration team,
      • Assist the Operations Manager with recruitment activities as required.
      • Lead the ongoing performance management and development of staff members in your team with support from the Operations Manager.
      • Provide oversight to team deliverables and ensure the team is adequately staffed and trained.
      • Building and maintaining a positive working relationship with all team members as well as other stakeholders in the business
    • Overseeing the capturing, processing, authorisation and reconciliation of payments and transfers on the electronic banking platforms as well as updating the Investment Administration systems.
    • Ensure all applicable reconciliation and exception reports are performed and /or reviewed on a daily/weekly/monthly basis - refer to Key Responsibilities list.
    • Handling escalated queries efficiently to ensure resolution of both internal and external client queries (in conjunction with the Client Delivery and Client services teams).
    • Compiling of incident reports and representation of the team at Incident Report meetings.
    • Ensure appropriate controls are in place to mitigate risk.
    • Supporting the management and co-ordination of team deliverables relating to projects and new client take-on’s.
    • Compile a monthly report pack of the Operational area.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

    • Relevant experience of at least 3 - 5 years in a related role where you have gained a strong understanding of Banking i.e. Cash settlements is required.

    Assistant Accountant (Prescient Centralised Services)

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    High level objective of the role is to provide efficient and effective support to Prescient’s accounting arrangements. The Assistant Accountant is responsible for assisting the Financial Accountant with meeting the below duties and responsibilities:

    • Financial accounting and records
    • Management accounting and reporting

    Accounting Function

    Assist the Head of Finance and Financial Accountants with the day-to-day operations of the finance function with specific focus on the Prescient Fund Services Group.

    • This includes, but is not limited to, the below functions:
      • Monthly bank statement processing and reconciliations (including credit cards)
      • Cash-flow monitoring and management
      • Assisting with client fee calculations in terms of signed mandates and/or SLAs
      • Maintaining fee schedules that agree to the general ledger
      • Capturing of supplier invoices and maintaining monthly supplier reconciliations
      • Maintaining expense schedules that agree to the general ledger
      • Management of accounts payable and accounts receivable aging and following up where necessary
      • Calculating monthly Capital Adequacy Requirements
      • Ensuring that relevant SOPS are documented and maintained

    General Finance Function

    • Responsible for providing efficient and effective support to Prescient’s broader finance team and procurement processes; and assist Head of Finance with the day-to-day operations of the finance function.
    • This includes, but is not limited to, the below functions:
      • New supplier and invoice capturing on Acumatica
      • Cross-training and knowledge sharing across the greater finance team
      • Continual improvement of controls and processes to streamline, reduce risk, identify threats and opportunities and increase efficiency
      • Participate in the weekly finance team meeting, in a positive and proactive manner and ensure action points are followed up on
      • Monthly reconciliation and settlement of intercompany balances.
      • Adhere to monthly, quarterly and annual Group reporting requirements
      • Cooperate with any internal audit requests and implement suggested changes where applicable
      • Self-review the accuracy and completeness of monthly management accounts and processes

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

    • BCom / Hons Accounting / CIMA and 1-2 years’ experience gained as an Accountant
    • Exposure to Financial Services preferable (Fund Services, Unit Trusts, Investment Management).
    • Able to work on various IT systems [advanced Excel skills would be an advantage] 
    • Exposure to Accounting systems

    Product Specialist - Product Solutions (Prescient Fund Services)

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • To engage, assist and run with all new client take ons, take offs, portfolio transitions, changes and launches
    • To engage, assist and run with fund setups, fee calculator and NAV recon books builds, including ongoing system and counterparty improvement initiatives
    • To optimise the Project Solutions environment (including the full supply chain end to end), developing out the system capabilities and efficiencies for fund products
    • Functionally supporting PFS, being the interface between Business Development initiatives, Operations and the Project Office
    • To develop, work on and roll out the project list as directed by the strategic initiatives directed by the Manager
