    Cash Processor

    Description

    • Responsible for the efficient and accurate end to end processing of cash in compliance with policies and procedures (SOPs). A Cash Processor may perform any one and/or a combination of the functions below.

    Requirements

    • Receive Cash 
    •  Receive deposits and update on the applicable systems. 
    •  Comply with all policies and procedures to eliminate any possible risks to the company and the customer. Prepare Cash on the applicable system 
    •  Check container/Bag for any damages or interferences and report all anomalies to Team Controller. 
    •  Acknowledge container/bag on applicable system. 
    •  Process all deposits in line with the agreed upon banks SLAs and SOPs on the applicable system. 
    •  Prep workstation accurately for effective and efficient note counting. Note Sorting 
    •  Sort all prepped deposits/notes for (FDP/ACDP) on the same day, within the cut off times. 
    • Send rejected notes to the Reject Teller together with the PCD cards, deposit slips and stop loss bag to verify and balance Reconciliation of ACDP deposits. 
    •  Perform a reconciliation of all notes rejected in order to validate the information 
    •  Manually check all rejected notes for counterfeits, dye-stained and mutilated notes 
    •  Perform cash transfers to vaults 
    •  Perform end of day balancing/ reconciliation of all cash received 
    •  Handle all transactions including shortages and surpluses according to SOPs Desktop deposit processing 
    •  Check container/Bag for damage /tamper, report anomalies to Team Controller. 
    •  Acknowledge container/bag on applicable system. 
    •  All deposits must be kept separate per customer at all times and all deposits must be processed on the same day received by the customer. 
    •  All deposits must be processed and balanced on the applicable system 
    •  Perform end of day balancing/ reconciliation of all cash received 
    •  All transactions, including shortages and surpluses must be handled according to SOPS 
    •  Accurate prepping must be done to enable effective and efficient note counting Sachet and Process Coin 
    •  Process bulk coin deposits in accordance with SBV’s policies and Procedures 
    •  Sort and process teller coin transfers Bank system Integrated deposit processing 
    •  Validate all transactions linked to system integrations as per banks SLA 
    •  Inform client services of account numbers not linked to bank system to avoid delays n crediting the customer Verify deposit account number to eliminate losses or misposts 
    •  Escalate system downtime/delayed batches to team controller Payroll and change 
    •  Payroll / change transactions must be processed in accordance with SLA per customer 
    •  Report all discrepancies to the Team Controller timeously 
    •  Floats must be sealed in drop safe bags along with float packing slips and placed into trolleys as per client requirement 
    •  Payroll entries to be processed within the banks SLA timeframes 
    •  Maintain all equipment by reporting any defects on equipment to the Team Controller 
    •  Obtain banks authorization prior to despatching as per SOP Prepack/Treasury 
    •  Assist with the accurate packing and unpacking of Bank and ATM Cash. 
    •  Manage consumables in line with packing requirements. 
    •  Confirm that the bag and Seal numbers are properly recorded. 
    • Manage Equipment 
    •  Utilise equipment according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS), protecting and taking care of company assets

    Quality & Compliance Manager

    Purpose of the Position

    • Continuously work to improve SBV’s efficiency and profitability by reducing waste and by coordinating investigations into centre level losses and incidents within operations and make recommendations to prevent future losses and incidents in accordance with SBV’s Policies and Procedures.

    Key Performance Areas (KPAs)

    Undertakes Business Improvement

    •  Take accountability for operationalizing Lean Management and continuous improvement regionally
    •  Responsible and accountable for value stream mapping and production cell evaluation
    •  Responsible for the development and implementation of operational excellence metrics directly related to the scope of responsibilities, including improving reporting processes.
    •  Collaborates with leadership cross-functionally to ensure effective execution of improvement projects and realization of EBITDA impact
    •  Responsible for maintaining the Lean toolkit: value stream mapping, problem solving, Kaizen, heijunka, fish bone analysis, etc through establishing and supporting organizational structures including steering group/s and working groups regionally
    •  Responsible to provide post implementation reviews of all initiatives operationalized to Senior management
    •  Responsible for successful implementation of strategic projects and embedment of new way of work post project completion.

    Assist in managing and reducing Losses

    •  Participate in Loss Forums at Centre Level for own region and participate in root cause analysis and correction.
    •  Create and implement changes to improve current processes and reduce costs
    •  Responsible for maintaining quality control capabilities and quality standards as per SARB requirements and the Quality Division
    •  Compile reports for process monitoring for team meetings
    •  Provide input and maintain the end-to-end process metrics.
    •  Take part in ADHOC projects and benefits
    •  Active participation of plans to reduce SARB and Business losses manuals and standards
    •  Execute SHEQ internal audits reports on findings, follow up on Corrective and Preventative Actions and verify remedial actions taken in line with management.
    •  Provide SHEQ audit report to relevant stakeholders with regards to machine statistics.
    •  Monitor region performance by gathering relevant data and compiling statistical reports and progress with recommendations for improvements to Quality Assurance and HSSE Managers.
    •  Draw a trend analysis of all above mentioned SHEQ assessments.
    •  Provide risk mitigation inputs to prevent further occurrences of the same/similar incidents.
    •  Monitor end-to-end critical Quality Control Points in accordance with SOPs to mitigate risk.
    •  Validate that spot checks with HODs are conducted to ensure quality of services, execution, and third-party consignments
    •  Review the quality of all administrative functions including data quality and escalate where necessary

    Undertake Quality compliance process and system management

    •  Lead major OHS and Environmental Incident Investigation to determine route cause
    •  Perform ad-hoc quality assurance inspections within own region with Q&L Officers on processes and on final product and identify deviations from quality standards.
    •  Assist the relevant department where quality checks are not up to standard by providing input into remedial actions and encourage line management to implement actions
    •  Form part of Risk Assessment teams in all centres of your region

    Support Implementation of Improvement processes

    •  Supports business with continuity planning by providing direct consultation with the Lean leadership teams regionally
    •  Collaborate with Change Analysts to ensure the element of change management is extensively covered
    •  Coach Centre leaders to lead region under the Lean Operating System using defined tools and methods driving continuous improvement activities and results.
    •  Drive a learning culture that embraces standardized work, information flow, problem solving, strategy deployment and continuous improvement
    •  Provide feedback at team meetings in terms of the regional progress of the implementation of a lean culture

    Maintain relevance of policies and procedures documents thereby ensuring accuracy, adequacy, and control points

    •  Implement and ensure control of documents (including Control of records) according to legal compliance, ISO 9001
    •  Conduct gap analysis assessment with Process Owners to ensure that each process is documented and identify processes which are being carried out but no supporting Policy and/or Procedure is in place, and which need to be compiled.
    •  Support the Process owners by obtaining the relevant information and then updating the documentation. This includes follow up steps with regards to Process Owners reviewing the updates and the sign off process.

    Monitor Compliance to Regulatory body Requirements

    •  Monitor and control adherence to regulatory compliance for one’s allocated division, providing visibility through reporting.
    •  Support ESG innovations in your region
    •  Visible SHEQ leadership in your region
    •  Consult with Cash Centre management to resolve quality, production, and efficiency problems.
    •  Collaboration with regional SARB Inspectorate for ongoing monitoring of quality.
    •  Conduct and ensure pre-inspections and facilitate SARB audits in collaboration with the SARB stakeholders and management.
    •  Measure product dimensions examine functionality and compare the final product to the specifications. (i.e., SARB test boxes fit/unfit, materials handling, random checks on products and processes)
    •  Provide report to the line manager regarding final product findings.
    •  Provide support to one’s allocated region(s), regarding adherence to regulatory requirements (for example, SARB, etc).
    •  Actively drive both focus and action on the legislation and regulations, to reduce penalties for one’s allocated Region for example: - SARB Penalties - ISO - ATM SLA Penalties - Service Penalties

    People Management

    •  Provide leadership to employees within SBV
    •  Creates a conducive environment which translates into productivity and high morale within SBV
    •  Leading the focus on talent to instil value creation for high value contributors
    •  Preside over disciplinary hearings on behalf of SBV in alignment with statutory requirements and the policies & procedures of SBV
    •  Be an advocate for SBV’s Talent Management Process
    •  Adhere to legislative requirements, company policies and procedures in respect of employment Health and safety practices
    •  In relation to continuous improvement partner with Organisational Development to identify and possibly develop applicable training material or interventions that will provide future fit SBV employees.

    •  Lead as an Ambassador and executor of Change
    •  Act as a change management architect in periods of change to ensure continuity to operations
    •  Effectively communicate and embed new processes and procedures as they occur addressing or escalating matters / concerns to the SME’s (subject matter experts) when required
    •  Facilitate the necessary presentations, workshops or forums in order to ensure consistent and accurate communication is given across one’s centre/s

    •  Drive the department’s values while inspiring confidence and generating excitement, enthusiasm and commitment towards the mission

    Requirements
    Minimum Requirements: Work Experience

    Internal:

    •  5 years’ experience within the SBV Operations or Support Functions of which:
    •  2 years has been at a supervisory or management level
    •  2 years' experience in managing / leading projects including being a change agent.
    •  Exposure to Quality and SHEQ management activities an advantage

    External:

    •  4 Years Lean Implementation / Continuous Improvement experience/ Quality Management for a medium to large nationally based organisation
    •  Strong background in change management required

    Both:

    •  In depth knowledge of Continuous Improvement tools and Lean tools: (Advantageous)

    Minimum Requirements: Education

    Internal:

    •  Grade 12 and meet the min work experience requirement for internal

    External:

    •  National Diploma/Bachelor’s degree is required, BS in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field is preferred OR
    •  Diploma in Quality Management/ Health and Safety/ Environmental Management or similar: (Advantageous)
    •  Certification in ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001: (Advantageous)
