    Facility Accountant

    Provides and implements the necessary frameworks to ensure adherence to Group financial policies. Provides operational financial guidance to facility management teams and drive financial objectives within facilities.

    Responsibilities
    Stock Control and Financial Controls

    • Identify risk in suspect WIP, expired, due to expire, obsolete, slow moving, blocked stock, and stock in non-nettable warehouses
    • Identify and transact inter-company charges
    • Review and minimise risk in goods received not invoiced (GRNI) and non production stock (NPS) systems
    • Review, report on and ensure adherence to financial controls
    • Provide financial advice and direction within facility
    • Create financial awareness


    Stock Counts

    • Review and analyse cyclical counts results and report to Supervisor
    • Assist with planning and implementing stock counts
    • Validate stock counts and identify, investigate and resolve irregularities during stock-take
    • Report stock count results and findings to Supervisor
    • Prepare rework quotations, as requested by management
    • Control all inventory in area of responsibility
    • Ensure annual stock stakes meet control requirements

    Reporting

    • Prepare monthly financial results (actual vs. budget vs. forecast) and submit, with comments on variances, to Supervisor
    • Prepare month-end financial pack, reconciliations and reports

    Operational Input

    • Provide technical and operational input on operational planning of the unit and on the prioritisation of objectives
    • Indicate required changes in resources to enable achievement of work objectives
    • Monitor and control use of assets/ resources in area of responsibility
    • Apply advanced understanding of area of specialisation
    • Analyse concepts and suggest streamlined procedures
    • Provide information for reports, as required by Supervisor
    • Compile standardised reports and consolidate documents
    • Comply with document filing requirements and maintain and update records and systems as required
    • Assist with development/amendment of SOP'
    • Assist with projects, implementation of systems and feasibility studies


    Requirements

    Skills Required
    Background/experience

    • 4 to 6 years’ accounting experience in a manufacturing organisation
    • Experience advising management on finance-related matters and implementing financial controls
    • BCom Degree in Accounting

    Specific Job Skills

    • Computer literacy: proficiency in Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and a fully integrated ERP system

    Technical Trainer: Steriles

    Plan, direct, conduct and facilitate on the job training activities in respective production area, targeted upskilling of workforce in line with strategic direction set for Capability as well as ensure new employees are trained to assume assigned roles, and current employees’ skills and knowledge are aligned with work responsibilities.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Training development

    • Develop curricula for specific roles, in collaboration with departmental management and support functions
    • Develop material for training programs and review, evaluate and modify existing and proposed programs
    • Develop relevant assessment tools, on-the-job observations (practical observations) and job aids

    Training planning and administration

    • Prepare and administer site training programs
    • Plan and track training activities
    • Coordinate with managers and SMEs to ensure software and equipment training are up-to-date and content is aligned with SOPs and departmental/ technical requirements
    • Maintain training records for employees in production area and report on training activities, as required
    • Ensure compliant documentation is kept of training activities
    • Support and assist other departmental work when necessary to maintain current understanding of needs

    Training facilitation

    • Conduct training programs and sessions, as applicable to the production area
    • Train on applicable procedures and processes as per regulatory requirements
    • Administer and evaluate training assessments
    • Assess and evaluate on-the-job application after completion of the training
    • Put measures in place to address competency gaps after the training
    • Deliver topic-specific training as required
    • Understand and train on applicable procedures and processes required in regulatory requirements

    Requirements
    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    • 6 years' relevant experience
    • Pharmaceutical industry experience and/ or experience working in a production environment
    • Understanding of training procedures and techniques
    • Technical experience in automated packaging / manufacturing in the Steriles environment
    • National Diploma in relevant technical field (Engineering or Trade Test), or a related discipline

    Payroll Clerk

    Provides administrative support in the preparation and processing of monthly payroll, leave, loans and advances to employees. Assists with payroll functions, budgets and forecasts. Provides general operations support, filing, report preparation and query-handling services.

    Responsibilities
    Payroll Administration

    • Capture and administer inputs for payroll
    • Process Long Service Award payments
    • Attend to wage- and salary-related queries
    • Administer and process payroll-related third party payments
    • Print and distribute wages payslips
    • Monitor working hours and overtime for payroll purposes

    Leave Administration

    • Administer annual and sick leave processes for input into payroll
    • Prepare leave pay-outs for temporary staff when contract ends
    • Ensure that all leave balances are correct
    • Attend to leave-related enquiries

    Loans and Advances Administration

    • Capture approved loans and advances as inputs into payroll
    • Attend to enquiries related to loans and advances

    Operations Support

    • Work within policies and procedures
    • Plan and prioritise own daily and weekly tasks
    • Provide information on resource requirements for work objectives
    • Provide guidance to and assist others with work activities
    • Check own work and possibly the work of others
    • Use and report on the use of assets/ resources within area of responsibility, in line with standard procedures
    • Assist in gathering and capturing information for reporting
    • Compile standardised reports and consolidate documents
    • Comply with document filing requirements and maintain and update records and systems as required
    • Retrieve supporting documentation and records to facilitate and support query resolution
    • Communicate with employees and management, to assist and convey information
    • Provide general office/ administrative support
