    Job Summary

    Dental Patient Care Coordinator Prospect Hill-Spanish Speaking Preferred

    Responsible to provide the patient/client with individual attention to complete registration, acquire insurance information, facilitate lab visits, billing, scheduling of appointments, and to share information about the clinic. Manages the front office and works to display a professional image of the clinic. Manages incoming phone inquiries, vendor deliveries and couriers.

    Minimum Qualifications

    High school degree with one to two years administrative experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in a healthcare setting or medical office environment.

    Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric (Diverse).

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORKING CONDITIONS

    Ability to maneuver physically, lift moderate amounts, reach upward with normal range of motion and drive to each location for coverage as needed.

    Responsibilities And Duties
    • Check in patients – Includes gathering, completing and documentation of accurate data such as PCP, address and insurance verification into Electronic Medical Records
    • Assures completion of the registration process
    • Check-out patients and completes necessary close documentation
    • Answers center phone calls in a timely, professional and efficient manner
    • Demonstrates understanding of HIPAA and release of medical information
    • Pull and file medical records as needed
    • Refer patients to external specialty practices as necessary
    • Schedules patient appointments
    • Works in coordination with the Center Manager to correct denied claims and assure a minimal individual error rate
    • Attends Center staff meetings and other corporate trainings/meetings as necessary

    Farmworker Health Outreach Specialist (Spanish Speaking Required)

    Job Summary

    The Health Outreach Specialist acts under the direction, guidance and supervision of the Health Outreach Manager. This position is responsible for the completing basic health assessments, referrals and follow ups to migrant, H2A, seasonal, and retired farmworkers. Additionally, outreach activities, case management, and health education are core expectations of this position. This position requires working as a team, assisting with interns, students, and/or temporary Outreach Workers during peak season. The position requires flexible hours (evenings and weekends), as valid NC driver’s license, car insurance, an acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.

    Minimum Qualifications
    • Education: Minimum requirement is high school diploma, preferred associate or bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
    • Current/valid License: Driver’s License
    • Experience: Public health outreach preferred.
    • Language: Bilingual English/Spanish required
    Special Requirements: This position requires flexible hours including changing of schedule during the peak season during April–November (Monday–Thursday, 12pm–10:30pm) and a more regular schedule November–March (Monday–Friday, 9a–6pm and one late night until 8:00pm). Weekends may be required on occasion.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS

    Requires frequent sitting for long periods, operation of standard office machines and computer. May require lifting of up to 25 pounds. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Requires use of office equipment, such as computer terminals, telephones or copiers. Requires normal vision range. Work is performed in an office environment and in the community. Community outreach is typically done outside, so much be able to withstand all outside climate variables (e.g. heat, farmland, etc). Must be able to routinely work in the evenings (typically after 6pm) and on weekends occasionally, as necessary. Contact with staff and external clients and vendors. This position requires considerable driving to remote locations. A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance is required for this position. Is expected to drive a company vehicle to transport patients as needed, so must maintain an acceptable driving record.
