    Lead Category Manager

    Your mission

    • As Lead Category Manager you will lead the implementation of category management for Parts & Services divisions globally by establishing and maintaining effective collaboration forums for the category with the goal to maximize potential from global synergies while taking into consideration regional business requirements.
    • The team is new, and you will play an important role both in developing our ways of working as well as in showing success by example – including communication and training of colleagues and stakeholders.
    • This role is responsible for global KPI development of the category, whereas major contributions are expected to come from initiatives identified and executed by sourcing colleagues based at hubs and major customer centers.
    • Important focus areas the next coming years will be category strategies, frame agreements, supplier relationship management, supplier audits and CO2 emissions reduction.
    • As Lead Category Manager you will also represent Parts & Services divisions for the category in global Epiroc collaborations.
    • This position reports to the Head of Global Category Management, Parts & Services divisions.

    Your profile

    • To thrive in the role, we see that you have a university degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience of Category Management/Direct Sourcing preferably in an international environment. Previous experience managing/sourcing one or more of the following categories is considered a plus: Hydraulics, Powertrain and Hoses & Filters. You have previous experience in change management, a good sense of business understanding and a good track record of successful supplier negotiations.
    • We are looking for a dynamic and result oriented person with strong customer focus. You have high communication skills and personal drive, work proactively and have good analytical skills. On top of this you have a positive attitude, and you dare to think new.
    • You need to be able to communicate, both verbal and written, in English.

    Lead Design Engineer - Krugersdorp

    The Mission    

    The role of the Research and Development (R&D) Engineer is to create and refine new or current trackless mobile equipment and technologies through a process of researching, designing, experimenting and testing.

    What are the main responsibilities?    

    • Generate new and update existing engineering drawings in the form of free hand sketches, hand drawn and CAD system models.
    • Check and approve drawings generated or changed by others in the department.
    • Complete the documentation and maintain the configuration control of documents and drawings as prescribed in the company standards.
    • Be familiar with national and international standards where they affect the company's products.
    • Be familiar with the company's business systems as they affect engineering matters.
    • Calculate cost effects of modifications and design detail changes.
    • Perform engineering design calculations of systems, structures, and components.
    • Investigate the causes of engineering problems and generate report.
    • Use engineering techniques to find solutions and to solve engineering problems.
    • Interpret client or user requirement specifications to develop engineering specifications or systems, structures, or components.
    • Confirm design specifications with details to assure conformance.
    • Be familiar with materials, processes, and heat treatment as they affect the company's products.
    • Liaise with production to ensure most economical methods of manufacture are built into the product at the design and detail stage.
    • Plan and control the development and testing of engineering systems, structures, and components.
    • Analyze and interpret engineering test data.
    • Structure Engineering BOMs and manufacturing BOMs on Windchill.
    • Plan and control engineering projects.
    • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective action for reported quality defects.

    Competences, skills and experience    

    • Turn a design idea into an accurate picture i.e. diagram for a machine. 
    • PTC Creo and Windchill advantageous.
    • Syspro advantageous.
    • Microsoft Visio advantageous.
    • Highly proficient level computer skills including Ms Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Programming and changing of FW Murphy controller and system advantageous.
    • J1939 can bus protocol.
    • The ability to follow directions while paying a close attention to details. 
    • Able to maintain many projects at once.
    • Be a strong communicator (written, spoken, and visual).
    • Deadline driven. 
    • Able to work independently and must be people and team oriented.

    Production Assistant 1

    Main Responsibilities or Functions of Job:

    • Assemble production units.
    • Build test units.
    • Wire production units.
    • Build prototypes.
    • Perform routine maintenance and clean tools.
    • Perform housekeeping tasks as necessary.
    • Assist with stock control.
    • Provide general assistance for the production manager.
    • Provide general assistance for engineers.
    • Inspect and verify the quality of assembled products, making necessary adjustments as required.

    Electronic Technician

    Main Responsibilities or Functions of Job:

    • Assess damage on incoming repair units
    • Generate quotations of repair units
    • Testing and fault finding of production and repair PCB’s as well as system level testing of products.
    • Design basic test equipment to test PCB’s or products
    • Verification of ATP’s and ATC’s of new products

    • Understanding/knowledge of embedded software
    • Product level/PCB level fault finding skills
