    Cybersecurity Presales Engineer

    •  The Cybersecurity Pre-Sales Engineer is responsible for supporting the design, development, and delivery of tailored cyber-security solutions aligned to specific client requirements and partner technologies. The role involves researching and analyzing customer needs, configuring accurate and effective technical solutions, and ensuring alignment with current cybersecurity-ty technologies and industry developments.
    • Working closely with the Services Manager, Product Manager, internal Account Managers, and vendor technical teams, the incumbent provides expert technical guidance, supports solution design, and assists in articulating networking and cybersecurity offerings to both internal and external stakeholders.
    • The role also requires maintaining up-to-date industry certifications, staying informed on emerging cybersecurity trends, and contributing to product and solution innovation that supports client business growth and evolving security requirements.
    • Additionally, the Cybersecurity Pre-Sales Engineer assists with technical tasks assigned by the Brand and ensures timely de-livery of responsibilities in line with organisational expectations.

    Product Knowledge

    • Conduct Technical Presentations to colleagues and resellers on products prescribed by management from time to time.
    • Configure and Install Cybersecurity products as required by the sales team.
    • Proactively facilitate and conduct product enablement sessions for all relevant internal and reseller salespeople

    Communication & Etiquette

    • Attention to detail in all written, email, and verbal communication.

    Minimum Qualifications :

    • Matric
    • BSc in Computer Science or a relevant qualification.

    Certification Requirements and Responsibilities for Pre-Sales Engineers

    • The employee commits to taking all necessary actions to complete and obtain the required certifications for this position as required by the employer.
    • Additionally, the employee agrees to pursue any additional certifications operationally required by the employer to remain relevant and compliant with the role requirements both presently and in the future.
    • The employee acknowledges responsibility for covering the costs of training courses and associated expenses should the employee fail to obtain certification after the initial attempt, and they agree to fund the second exam.
    • In the event that the cost of the course/exam exceeds R8,000, the employee agrees to reimburse the full expense if they leave employment within one year of course completion. Any such repayment will be deducted from the final salary payment.
    • The employee requested to inform HR and the line manager of any pending courses/examinations.
    • The employer will assist with enrollment to the extent reasonably practical upon the employee's request for assistance.

    Cloud Account Manager

    MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION: 

    • To promote FD’s Cloud and Hosting solutions to an assigned base of resellers. The role is responsible for driving revenue growth across a balanced portfolio of Cloud and Hosting brands, while building strong reseller relationships and demonstrating a solid understanding of First Distribution’s full business offering.

    Cloud Account Manager Job Duties and Responsibilities

    Sales and Account Management

    • Sell Cloud solutions and services to assigned reseller partners
    • Drive monthly GP targets across allocated accounts
    • Develop reseller business through sales execution, business development, and knowledge transfer of Cloud offerings.
    • Recruit, onboard, and enable new resellers
    • Expand product adoption within existing reseller accounts
    • Develop and support reseller business and marketing strategies to grow FD’s Cloud and Hosting brand portfolio (Existing and new targeted accounts).
    • Maintain a strong understanding of reseller strategies, programs, and full product portfolios – understand your customer needs.
    • Ensure all required sales certifications are current and maintained across relevant brands and as per business requirements.
    • Conduct bi-weekly business review sessions with Brand and Pre-Sales teams.
    • Provide weekly pipeline updates, including deal probability and forecasting.
    • Accurately capture and manage opportunities in the CRM system
    • Report on KPIs, targets, pipeline creation, and deal progression to the Sales Manager on a bi-weekly basis
    • Track partner activities, forecast performance, and provide feedback on brand success
    • Communicate vendor and brand updates effectively to resellers
    • Attend bi-weekly brand planning, pipeline, and update sessions
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key resellers, Brand teams, and Presales teams.
    • Act as the central point of contact for reseller participation in vendor programs, incentives, and rebates, in collaboration with the Brand Manager.
    • Ensure effective execution of reseller business plans
    • Conduct 2–3 reseller meetings per day
    • Attending vendor conferences and industry events
    • Consistently demonstrate sales growth and achievement of targets
    • Report any deviations from targets with clear explanations and action plans

    Marketing Management

    • Participate in marketing planning sessions with the Brand Manager and Marketing Team
    • Support and drive initiatives for top reseller partners.
    • Encourage reseller participation in FD-hosted events, campaigns, and initiatives

    People Management

    • Manage reseller expectations by coordinating with Operations, Brand, and Pre-Sales teams.
    • Attend vendor training to become self-sufficient in the sales of assigned products and solutions.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    Internal training associated with competencies:

    Requirements :

    • Matric (Grade 12)
    • Information Technology or a relevant business qualification would be advantageous
    • 3-5 years’ experience in IT sales or external account management.
    • Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts and consumption-based sales models.
    • AWS and/or Microsoft Cloud certifications would be advantageous
    • Experience working with CRM systems for pipeline and opportunity management
    • Intermediate Microsoft Excel proficiency, including the ability to manage sales pipelines, use formulas, apply filters, and create PivotTables and basic reports for forecasting and performance tracking

    Strategic Partner Executive - Africa

    MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

    • The Strategic Partner Executive (SPE) is responsible for developing, maintaining, and expanding relationships with strategically important customers in Africa. Typically managing 20 - 30 key accounts in the SADC and IOI Region, the SPE is accountable for achieving sales targets and delivering on strategic account objectives.
    • The SPE represents the full portfolio of the company’s brands, products, and services within assigned accounts.

    Sales Specialist - Africa

    MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION:

    • Develop an understanding of customers’ business and solution requirements into the SADC and IOI region

    • Develop an Account Plan that documents the key sales & marketing strategies and a management system that measures performance and success within the focus list

    Administration

    • Update CRM and manage opportunities through the lifecycle
    • Request and evaluation quotes for submission
    • Follow up on quotes
    • Follow up on operations responses
    • Manage SLA with brand operations
    • Managing the deal from start to finish
    • Attend training provided by Relevant brand to become totally self-sufficient in the sales of Relevant brand products.

    REQUIREMENTS
