    Projects Coordinator

    Job Purpose

    • As a Projects Coordinator, you will have the overall responsibility of all capital projects and CAPEX Management on site.

    Essential Job Responsibilities

    • Coordinate, Manage / Execute all capital projects on site from Ideation/ Inception stage (Business analysis) till Handover and guaranteed Benefits realization following the GSK PMF roadmap
    • Liaises with department managers regarding new equipment requirements and identifying old, redundant equipment for replacement

    In Addition

    • Draws up User Requirement specifications (URS’s) for new equipment
    • Sources suitable equipment and arrange viewing
    • Negotiates with suppliers regarding cost, delivery, and quality
    • Completes recommendations detailing equipment comparisons, costing, performance evaluations, guarantees, etc. and making specific recommendations
    • Owns and drives Project Investment Proposal process and adjoining approvals for the site.
    • Develops timelines for project, detailing deliveries, installation, commission, validation, resources required (internal and external)
    • Provides Finance with equipment location and machine detail, e.g. serial number, type, etc.
    • Supports the Engineering Lead in Authoring Facility Investment Plan for the site
    • Draws up the factory capital expenditure budget in consultation with Factory Engineer to ensure that funds are available for equipment and projects
    • Ensures that project numbers and funds are allocated to projects
    • Produces quarterly capital forecast
    • Manages Capital projects at offsite 3rd party who manufactures toothpaste for the SA and ANZ markets
    • Manages R&M spend at the same 3rd party

    • B.Eng. Project Management or Diploma in Advanced/ Industrial Project Management
    • 5 Years’ experience as a Project Engineer

    Lead Automation & Electrical Artisan

    Job Purpose
    As a Lead Electrical and Automation Artisan , you will be responsible for providing leadership to the maintenance electricians, automation technician and/or millwrights, by providing technical support, maintenance adherence, ensure compliance to GSK and local electrical/automation standards, electrical oversight to projects and assisting with validation in the Cape Town Factory. You must also ensure technical lead support and effective maintenance to all electrical and automation systems, units and plant machinery which will result in efficient, reliable, safe, and cost-effective operations.

    Essential Job Responsibilities

    • Must have specific and thorough underpinning knowledge of the electrical systems that constitute the complete electrical installation of the site, as will be under his responsibility.
    • The Lead electrical & automation Tech will provide support to the Engineering Services Manager with ensuring compliance with the requirements of all applicable GSK Global Engineering Standards (GES).
    • Provide immediate maintenance support in case of any electrical and/or electrical failure.
    • Keep all electrical vendors and suppliers up to date in terms of Safety File adherence, TPO and SLA agreements.
    • Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all instruments / control systems to minimize down time.
    • Develop and maintain in-house validation / calibration set-up to complete all validations / calibrations in compliance with GQPs / GQMPs/GES on time and at optimum cost.
    • Responsible for all high-level PLC/Automation support to site.
    • Develop back-up strategy for all instruments / systems, to reduce plant down time
    • Determine and develop local vendors for all instruments / systems supply & service
    • Conduct regular trainings to other technicians / operators on instrumentation / automation to improve plant operation
    • Ensure that when capital expenditure requests are being made that appropriate justifications and competitive pricing are in place prior to progressing
    • Ensure that all staff under your leadership understand governance and the applicable procedures
    • Allocate jobs daily based on priorities and skills of individuals to direct reportees.
    • Ensure training of direct reports is carried out (including Quality and EHS requirements)
    • Assist subordinates with technical problems.
    • Counsel staff as required.
    • Lead weekly sub-team meetings
    • Provide input to Projects Co-Ordinator about new equipment requirements.
    • Oversee installation and commissioning by providing internal resource to project teams

    Why you?
    Basic Qualifications

    • N6 Trade Test Certificate or National Diploma in Automation/Electrical /Electronic/Instrumentation Engineering
    • At least 5 years’ experience in Electrical Maintenance and Instrumentation, Control, and Automation

    Tax, Audit and Compliance Accountant

    Job Purpose:

     

    As a Tax, Audit and Compliance Accountant, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Statutory Reporting, Audit and Taxation (inclusive of transfer pricing) activities for GSK Consumer division. This responsibility includes developing and implementing plans, policies and procedures that meet the needs of the business. You will ensure the accurate, complete, and timely reporting of financial activities. You will maintain the validity and completeness of records in line with GSK ways of working, policies, and procedures as well as local rules and legislation. This role is also the key liaison between SARS, Global GSK tax and Audit Partner, Deloitte.

    Essential Job Responsibilities:

    Why you?

    Basic Qualifications:

    • CA(SA) –non-negotiable minimum 3-5 years post qualification tax specific experience
    • Professional tax qualification required. non negotiable
    • Big Four Firm Audit experience
    • FMCG experience preferable
    • Experience in dealing with tax authorities on tax audits.

    • Able to articulate complicated tax rules in a simple manner to internal stakeholders. Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with flexibility and adaptability required.
    • Confident self-starter with the ability to act on own initiative.
