    Disability Claim Assessor

    Key Accountabilities:

    • To assess claims consistently and to ensure that claims assessment and disability management practice is in line with the market but also in line with the company values.
    • To liaise with and provide clients with feedback professionally
    • To plan return to work programmes for claims needing active management
    • To keep records and update systems
    • To visit clients (employers and members)

    Required Knowledge and Experience:

    • Attention to Detail
    • Deadline Orientated
    • Good Communication Skills both verbal and written
    • Strong relevant medical background
    • Exposure to the Insurance Industry
    • Strong customer focus
    • Team Player

    Educational Requirements:

    • Matric
    • Postgraduate medically aligned degree is required eg Occupational therapy
    • 3-5 years clinical experience /Claims assessing experience in Group Risk in a Claims environment with exposure to Income Disability Claims (DIB), Capital Disability and Dread Disease claims.

    Business Development Consultant

    KEY OUTPUTS:

    • The role is multi-disciplinary with the following key deliverables:
    • Develop and maintain client and intermediary relationships.
    • Identify and track new business opportunities.
    • Coordinate with HGR support teams to develop meaningful new business proposals.
    • Support and oversee annual scheme renewals to retain existing business.
    • Present to existing and new clients and intermediaries on HGR offerings and proposals
    • Develop strategic partnerships to grow business for all stakeholders.
    • Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate with stakeholders.
    • Stay abreast of market developments and offerings in the employee benefit space.
    • Provide market feedback to pricing and product teams.
    • Build strong relationships with other HGR teams (pricing, underwriting, administration, etc.)
    • Comply with relevant regulations and legislation.
    • Guide and offer direction to service consultants to effectively support intermediary and clients’ needs.
    • Coordinate communication and queries from intermediaries and clients relating to quotes, underwriting and claims.

    Required Knowledge and Experience:

    • Demonstrate ability to build and manage strong relationships.
    • Planning and organising skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • The role requires travel to external meetings.
    • A self-managed and assertive individual
    • Attention to accuracy and detail.
    • Ability to use initiative, prioritise and make decisions.
    • Ability to engage and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

    Build Strong relationships with:

    • HGR Administration, Legal, Pricing and Product, Disability management and Underwriting teams
    • Existing and potential clients
    • Intermediaries

    Educational Requirements

    • Business related degree (preferred)
    • At least 8 years of Group Risk experience in a client facing role.
    • Strong understanding and knowledge of Group Risk products and market
