    MEA HSSE Manager

    What this job involves

    • Implement Global CS HSSE strategic objectives and bring them to life for the client project, ensuring effective operational relevance within the area of responsibility
    • Manage and reduce operational risks by providing guidance and advice on HSSE risk management at all levels
    • Provide technical advice on relevant HSSE issues and communicate notifications of changes in legislation that will impact service delivery and/or client occupancy
    • Ensure a continued working knowledge of relevant current legislation
    • Identify improvement opportunities and support the account team in identifying practical cost-effective solutions and controls for HSSE risks
    • Ensure building related risk assessments are in place in line with legal requirements and Client Global Risk Control Standards
    • Manage account for incident and accident investigations
    • Support implementation of an effective account HSSE communication plan within the Region
    • Foster a Culture of Safety across the Account
    • Lead, manage and develop the Account HSSE teams maintaining an appropriate structure to ensure operational HSSE management.
    • Support Regional site leads in developing relationships with key internal and external HSSE stakeholders
    • Proactively develop and manage client relationships ensuring expected service levels are achieved
    • Embed JLL CS HSSE requirements and meet client requirements and standards
    • Establish effective relationships and work co-operatively with the Account Teams, bp Project organizations, and 3rd party vendors
    • Contribute to the CS HSSE program as part of the global HSSE leadership team.
    • Ensure 3rd party vendors maintain compliance with JLL CS and bp Project HSSE Standards at all times
    • Support the implementation and maintenance of JLL Regional HSSE operational controls, (i.e., process, standards, procedures, and guidelines) ensuring compliance with HSSE obligations and JLL’s HSSE aspirations.
    • Drive the development of best practice HSE training programs and resources within the Region.
    • Implement HSE strategy and operating protocols for the safety performance of JLL’s contractors and supply chain vendors.
    • Support the successful delivery of HSSE regulatory responsibilities and best practices to secure regulatory compliance, including management of change related to new and revised legislation. 
    • Support the successful management of assurance for the HSSE program, while supporting growth strategies related to Client, JLL and/or national and industry standards.
    • Develop, and “own” strong relationships with client’s key representatives and local stakeholders
    • Build a relationship with the client developing trust and demonstrating ownership and drive of innovation and change management.

    Meeting and Events Coordinator (Cape Town)

    Role Purpose

    • JLL is currently searching for a confident and ambitious Meeting and Events Coordinator who is reporting to the Facilities Manager. Working as part of the overall Facilities Team, this role will be responsible for the coordination of Meeting and Events across a campus or region in conjunction with the Meeting, Events & Food Services Manager.

    What this job involves

    Overall responsibilities include:

    • Support and leadership of onsite meeting and events teams
    • Ensure Outlook booking systems are up to date
    • Coordination of event set ups with meeting and events teams
    • Coordination of meeting and event requests with meeting and events teams ensuring requests are completed in a timely manner
    • Coordination of local employee experience activations and events
    • Ensuring out of hours meeting and events are coordinated efficiently and effectively
    • Ensuring general condition of meeting rooms meets agreed standards
    • Ensuring service excellence across campus or region
    • Coordination of service support such as Technicians, Janitorial and Security Teams
    • Coordination of Logistics Team to ensure rooms are correctly configured
    • Ensuring new processes and standards are implemented across sites in conjunction with Program Manager
    • Operational oversight of campus or region, linking with Program Manager for implementation of global or regional practices and standards
    • Acting as point of escalation for issues, feeding back to Program Manager where required
    • Ensuring compliance with EHS requirements and standards for all meeting and event activities
    • Convey relevant feedback to Line Manager and Program Manager when appropriate
    • Managing meeting room furniture and equipment, making recommendations for improvements
    • Set up and maintain relationships with local external catering providers
    • Liaising with Amazon Global Events and Meetings (GEMS) where onsite meetings and events cannot be accommodated
    • All other tasks and duties as required

    Key Performance Indicators

    • Previous experience working within a high-profile corporate environment
    • Previous hospitality experience is desirable
    • Facilities Management exposure would be beneficial
    • Fluency in English and local language
    • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Pack
    • Very high attention to detail
    • Outstanding customer service skills with the ability and confidence in communicating to customers at all levels, both written and verbal
    • Ability to maintain professionalism at all times and be an ambassador of the team
    • Be an excellent team player with the want to go above and beyond for each other
