    Law Enforcement Officer X4 MN 3955/25

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Grade 12. Higher certificate in Policing. Diploma in Policing will be an added advantage. Valid Driver’s License.
    • Peace Office Certificate will be an added advantage. Competency certificate for handgun as stipulated in the Firearms control Act.

    DUTIES

    • Protect Citizens by Enforcing the Law, Preventing Crime by means of constant patrols and apprehending suspect. Responding to all SNIPR activated notifications from Control room.

    Early Childhood Development Centre Principal

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Diploma in Grade R – NQF Level 5. Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a fully operational ECD Centre.
    • Ability to manage ECD Centre with up to 90 children. Sound administration and financial management skills. Leadership and teamwork skills.

    DUTIES

    Labour Relations Officer: Prosecution _ MN3953/25

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Grade 12.  National Diploma in Labour Relations, or Equivalent NQF Level 6 Qualification. Valid driver’s license.  Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

    DUTIES

    • Effective handling of labour related matters to maintain sound employment relations:  Receive and file documents re disciplinary cases accordingly.  Compile charge sheets according to set format and ensure that approved charge sheets together with notice of disciplinary hearings are delivered by hand to the Accused Employee within the specified time limits.  
    • Schedule the disciplinary hearing and ensure sufficient notification thereof to all role players (Chairperson, Members of Disciplinary Committee, Prosecutor, HR Officials and Witnesses).  
    • Monitor the securing of venue for disciplinary hearings and ensure proper mechanical recording of proceedings.  Ensure that proceedings at hearings are conducted in terms of the procedures as stipulated in the collective agreements.
    •  Disputes and grievances:  Advice on possible settlement or resolution of disputes declared by unions on behalf of members and grievances lodged against Council by employees.  Manage dissemination of confidential information to all parties concerned just, equally, and fairly.  Manage effective and efficient diary for all arbitration hearings, etc., and keep all official(s) involved in the finalization of the specific case, well informed when representing Council.  
    • Conduct investigations of alleged misconducts:  Prosecute on behalf of the employer during disciplinary hearings and tribunals when appointed for such.  Ensure proper and accurate record keeping mechanism in respect of all disciplinary and disputes handled within council.  Maintain a confidential filing system and maintain strict confidentiality on all matters concerned.  
    • Perform any other relevant HR function/task to ensure continuity around the functionality of the department.  Perform any other related Ad Hoc tasks and duties as requested or required by management (supervisor) from time to time.

    Weighbridge Operator: Landfill Site & Transfer Station _ MN 3950/25

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Grade 12/National Senior Certificate or equivalent.  NQF 2 Certificate in conducting weighbridge operations.  Basic Financial.  Valid driver’s license Code 08 (B) PrDP.will be an advantage  Computer Literacy (MS Office Suite, specific competence in Excell).  Communication and interpersonal skills.  
    • Experience in weighbridge operation or a related field.  Proficiency in accurately weighing and recording incoming and outgoing goods.  
    • Ability to operate and maintain weighbridge equipment.Three (03) to Five (5) years relevant experience in weighbridge operations within a similar environment.

    DUTIES

    • Daily operation of the Weighbridge and Weighing of Vehicles entering the site:  Operating the weighbridge to accurately determine the weight of vehicles, both loaded and unloaded, of all incoming and outgoing vehicles.  Maintaining detailed records of all weighing transactions, including vehicle details, weights, and timestamps. Capturing data on the weighbridge software or database.  Generating and issuing weight tickets, receipts, or other relevant documentation, including weighbridge tickets, waste transfer notes and any other required documentation for each transaction as proof of delivery.  
    • Ensuring all weighing processes adhere to relevant regulations and company standards:  Verifying vehicle documentation and compliance with site rules.  Monitoring for unauthorized access or potential hazards.  Ensuring the weighbridge area is clean and organized.  Adhering to safety procedures and using appropriate personal protective equipment.  
    • Equipment Maintenance:  Performing routine inspections and minor maintenance on the weighbridge equipment.  Including cleaning around load cells and reporting any defects to the foreman.  Report any defects or malfunctions of the weighbridge equipment to supervisor immediately.  Ensures that weighbridge and equipment functions optimally at all times. 
    • Customer Service:  Interacting with drivers, providing information, and addressing queries.  Escalating queries/questions/complaints which the incumbent is unable to address to the supervisor to maintain customer services.  
    • Reporting and Communication:  Preparing daily, weekly, or monthly reports on weighing activities.  Reporting any malfunctions or irregularities in the weighing system to the relevant personnel.  
    • Maintaining records: Keeping accurate and up to date records of all weighbridge transactions, vehicles, movements and waste data.  
    • Spreadsheet update: Regularly updating spreadsheets and databases with accurate information.  
    • Reporting: Compiling daily, weekly and monthly reports on waste, tonnages, types and other relevant metrics for management and regulatory bodies such as GWIS. 
    • Processing payments: Processing payments for waste disposal services from nonaccount customers. Perform any other related ad hoc tasks and duties as requested or required by Supervisor and Foreman from time to time.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Grade 10. Grade 12 (added advantage). Valid Driver’s License. Valid PrDP will be an added advantage.

    DUTIES

    • Vehicle and traffic management: Safely and efficiently guiding incoming and outgoing commercial and public vehicles to the designated working cell within the landfill based on the site’s day plan. Maintaining a consistent and safe flow of traffic, especially in busy or challenging weather conditions. communicating with truck drivers, heavy equipment operators and weighbridge operators using agreed upon means. 
    • Waste inspection and compliance: Inspecting incoming loads for unacceptable or prohibited waste materials on the working cell and ensuring they are removed before disposal. Ensuring that all publicly posted safety rules and unposted safety standards are followed by everyone on the working cell. 
    • Safety and site operations: Serving as an extra set of eyes for heavy equipment operators when they have limited visibility, especially when backing up, operating near power lines or on uneven terrain. Ensuring that everyone on the working cell is always visible to all operators and drivers. Scanning the ground for potential trip or fall hazards and being aware of their surroundings to avoid walking into the path of moving vehicles or equipment. Being prepared to raise an alarm or initiate an emergency response if a risk is identified or an incident occurs. Working effectively with other landfill personnel, including equipment operators and management, to ensure smooth and safe operations. 
    • Customer interaction: Interacting with assisting customers in the public with waste disposal, answering questions and providing directions. Inspect the site prior to opening to the public. Ensure that all waste materials are properly sorted and deposited. Ensure that work activity is carried out according to the Waste Management Licence conditions and/ as per the relevant Norms and Standards for the site. Opens and Closes the waste site in accordance to work schedule. Performs the responsibilities of the position within the legislative and regulatory standards set out in the National Environmental Management Act and the National Environmental Waste Management Act.     REQUIREMENTS

    • Grade 12. Recognised Diploma or Relevant Qualification in any of the disciplines as contemplated in Section A16 of the National Building Regulations and Building Standards Act.
