    Principal Clerk (Film Permit)

    Job Purpose    

    • Provide clerical support in facilitation and coordination of all film related matter in terms of film permit applications.
    • This post reports to FILM CO ORDINATOR

    Key Responsibility Areas    

    • Provide clerical support to the Film Coordinator in all film related matters in terms of film permit applications.
    • Issuing of film permits to production companies filming in Durban and the coordination of film logistics in the city and the province.
    • Responsible for recording and reporting monthly film statistics and activities to the Film Coordinator.

    Water Controller

    Job Purpose    

    • To effectively operate and analyse the bulk water supply system through the evaluation of the general operations referring to information logged on the monitoring telemetry / SCADA system.

    Key Responsibility Areas    

    • Monitors / oversees the general operations of the water supply system of the eThekwini region.
    • Captures recordings of field work on to the Water Faults man Control Program.

    Site Operator

    Job Purpose    

    • Undertakes work associated with the planning process of the work management system by conducting inspections and verifying/ reporting on the nature and extent of the reported repair work on roads and stormwater systems

    Heavy Plant Operator

    Job Purpose    

    • Performs tasks/ activities associated with the operation of heavy-duty vehicle (tip truck,  crane truck, low bed trailer, gang truck) and transportation of material/ equipment  (compressor trailer) and monitor personnel to/ from work sites and during road and storm  water maintenance activities.

    Key Responsibility Areas    

    • Performs specific tasks/ activities at the Depot or work sites prior to and on completion of allocated maintenance assignments.
    • Completes internal transactional documentation (e.g. tally sheets, log sheet, progress  reports) and related forms (vehicle checklist).
    • Performs specific tasks associated with the operation of heavy vehicles during road  and storm water drainage maintenance activities.
    • Communicates with the superintendent, Senior Supervisor, Artisan on site and  confirming requirements/ specifications.
    • Controls the utilization of materials and discharging/ offloading required quantities  of materials for repair or reconstruction work.
