Head of Thermal Coal - Integrated Sales & Operations Planning (ISOP) at Anglo American

Job Description

Through effective analysis and assessment of Production & Marketing forecasts, this role must oversee ISOP planning & scheduling activities that ensures a demand driven, integrated approach to supply chain management.

The role must also manage the business improvement and performance planning and reporting deliverables for Thermal Coal (including but limited to management interface, between Mine Planning, Production, Sales, Technical, Shipping, Logistics and Operations team).
 

• Effectively manage direct reports and ensure team achievement of agreed business targets.
• Lead the effective integration between production, sales / trading and customers’ requirements to inform supply and demand.
• Develop relationships with Trading, Sales Operations, Logistics Services and Production teams to ensure successful internal integration and alignment.
• Identifying opportunities to maximize ISOP value - incorporating equity and third party product in a highly competitive trading environment.
• Developing policies and practices to avoid value leakage - optimising infrastructure in a complex environment and highly competitive environment where multiple operators/miners for capacity.
• Manage the delivery of performance reporting, monitor, and mitigate delivery risk.
   

Qualifications
 

• Bachelor degree, preferably in a business and/or finance disciplines
