    Senior Specialist: Transmission Support

    Role Purpose

    • Responsible for providing support for all transmission networks across Vodacom Africa Operating Companies within the planning, optimization, and performance management areas. Provide expert-level expertise within the transmission network domain focusing on network planning network performance, and network optimization and be able to support the implementation of industry best practices across markets.
    • Transport network governance and oversight.
    • Support with strategy, architecture, planning/demand forecasting, and program management.
    • Group technology analysis and reporting.

    Your Responsivities Will Include

    • Performance management support of the IP networks across Vodacom Opcos to ensure the networks are always performing optimally according to industry best practices. Review Tx Network Performance (Availability, Congestion, QoS).
    • Support with network performance and technology analysis and recommendations that ensure optimal performance.
    • Develop/support/lead network performance improvement programs across the Vodacom Group. Ensure alignment to and maintenance of Vodafone/Vodacom quality standards and best practices in the transmission network domains across Vodacom opcos.

    • Align Group opco’s and Vodafone concerning strategy, technology evolution, systems, processes, and delivery targets. Support and development of technology roadmaps, plans, models, business cases, and implementation thereof.
    • Lead and provide technical support to proof of concepts and innovation and share programs and projects across the Group.
    • Support Group analysis and reporting functions i.e. Exco analysis requests and progress reports.

    The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have

    • Matric/Grade 12 is essential.
    • Minimum 3-year Degree/Diploma or BSc Engineering or B.Eng. or an equivalent NQF Level 6 qualification or CCIE.
    • CCNP – Routing & Switching or equivalent certification i.e. Juniper or Huawei.
    • At least 5 years in the telecommunications industry (experience in a large-scale IP network engineering role would be advantageous).
    • At least 3 years of experience in transmission or IP network planning, optimization, performance management, network analysis, technical investigations, research, and fault finding.

    Principle Specialist: Energy Support

    Role Purpose

    • To create and manage the implementation of energy strategies across all OPCOs according to Vodacom’s guidelines and energy ambitions.

    Your Responsivities Will Include

    • Drive the creation and evolution of the energy strategy and guidelines across all OPCO’s.
    • Provide project management support on the rollout of energy projects ensuring the delivery of projects according to strategic requirements.
    • Evaluate market initiatives to identify best practices for incorporating energy strategy evolution.

    Senior Specialist: Core Networks

    Role Purpose
    Provide expert-level support for all Voice Core, Data Core (Core - 2G, 3G, 4G, 5GC) networks, and Telco over Cloud (TOC) environments across Vodacom Africa Operating Companies within the planning, engineering, and performance management areas.     Reward Specialist

    Role purpose:

    The core purpose of this role is to provide high-quality reward & benefits guidance and support for international mobility and relevant reward and benefit programs.  The role works closely with Human Resources Business Partner, Vodacom International Business OPCO’s Vodafone International Mobility, HR Services, etc. to execute its mandate.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Support the end-to-end Vodacom Assignee Management process and act as the International Mobility Champion for Vodacom Group.
    • Work closely with Finance to ensure that assignee costs are verified and validated and recorded accurately.

    Education & Qualifications

    Specialist: Finance Operations, TCM

    Role purpose:

    Role purpose:

    The Portfolio Manager: Vodapay POS/Merchant Product Marketing is based within the Financial Services Business Unit.

    • The role is accountable for growing and driving customer engagement across all relevant media platforms (ATL, BTL & Retail) for the Payments segment (POS).     Learning & Development Specialist

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • To support and drive the strategic delivery of the BBBEE spend and mandate within the respective Business Units – aligned to the overall organisational goal.

    Manager: Terminals Payment Acquiring

    Role Purpose:

    • The Manager: Terminals Payment Acquiring position is based within the Financial Services Business Unit. 
    • The purpose of the Manager: Terminals Payment Acquiring position is to manage Acquiring Point of sale terminals throughout it's life cycle including stock control, warehousing, logistics, distribution, terminal activity, and reporting.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Stock Management: Managing to order, storing, and controlling inventory.
    • Stock Control: Ensuring that appropriate amounts of stock are maintained, to be able to meet customer demand without delay while keeping the costs associated with holding stock to a minimum.
    • Distribution and logistics management: Managing the overall process of how a terminal is acquired, stored, and transported between different locations.

    • Warehouse Management: Manage the day-to-day processes and operations of multiple warehouses and distributors.
    • Quality Assurance: Performing regular quality checks on inventory to ensure all terminals are fit for use.
    • Consignment: Establish and management of a consignment strategy allowing terminals to be left in the possession of an authorized third party to sell.
    • Warranty Management: The ability to view, manage, access, and automatically tracking of terminal warranty to reduce loss of sales and ensure customer satisfaction.

    • 3 or 4 year Relevant Degree / Diploma is essential 
    • 5 Years’ experience in terminal operations and management (or relevant experience) is essential
    • Data tracking and analytical skills
    • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to minimize overhead tasks for the team and manage interdependencies with other teams.
    • Experience with partner account management and relationship building.
    • Inventory Control.
    • Logistics and distribution management.
    • Experience in working with and presenting to senior leaders and executives with excellent oral and written communication skills.
