Integrated Planning Manager at Avon

Reporting to the Cluster Lead of Supply Chain for Africa, the integrated planning leader success criteria requires significant interaction with Senior Leadership & owning the process for driving key business decisions. These decisions will directly impact on cluster business priorities i.e. Better service levels, simplification and improved forecasting to project and deliver on revenue, operating profit and cash commitments.

• Provide leadership, direction and full management authority for the new Integrated Planning discipline of approx. Accountable for achieving OFR, inventory and demand results
• Build and maintain S&OP program, provide the wider business with the tools, processes, training and meeting structure to develop a sound S&OP process. Identifying and leading resolution where the S&OP process falls below this standard.
• IP / Commercial teams will manage fast paced, complex change coming from S&OP decisions and require leadership and direction of the IPL.
• Directly lead the demand planning team to convert the commercial marketing plans into detailed forecasts that can be used by the factory.
• Lead supply planning to constantly monitor future plans vs internal and external capacity to identify and mitigate any issues

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain S&OP program. IPL to adapt and execute SC business plans for S&OP and integrated planning by defining, implementing, executing and owning the structure and associated processes.
• IPL to effectively escalate key issues, non-conformance and risks within the SC LT as well as Cluster Exco
• Demand Planning build a highly performing demand planning team that uses a combination of technical forecasting expertise and close engagement with commercial marketing, finance, analytics, digital and sales teams to create timely, accurate and fact-based demand forecast at SKU / Category / Market level including depot replenishment.
• Supply Planning Leadership and direction of Supply Planning teams including end to end order management for F&H & Beauty. Ensure matching supply and demand by identifying risks in the short, medium and long term where supply can not meet demand and lead recovery actions to protect service and sales. Ensure the team can provide the wider business and leadership with the reports required to make key business decisions.
• Inventory Management Agree and implement control mechanisms and indicators for inventory to ensure the agreed company targets are met. Where risk of exceeding targets is identified; align own and team actions to avoid or address the challenges. Ensure excess and obsolete inventory is rapidly and effectively dealt with in line with company policies.
• Group best practice Influence key global functions to ensure the corporate tools used (eg Foresight) meet the requirements of the cluster and that the policies and procedures (eg excess inventory management) reflect the latest developments in market
• Reporting Across all of the functions within scope, ensure timely, accurate and actionable KPI reports
• Owning the S&OP process for the Cluster
• IP / Commercial teams will manage fast paced, complex change coming from S&OP decisions and require leadership and direction of the IPL.
• Planning, forecasting and ordering stock for the Cluster and dealing with any resulting issues

Job Requirements/Qualifications

• University degree preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering or Business
• 7 to 9 years varied Supply Chain experience preferably in the FMCG industry
• Minimum 5 years managerial experience of Supply Planning, Inventory Management or Demand Planning
• Prior responsibility managing the entire sales and operations planning process (S&OP)
• Effective self-starter who will drive change and challenge traditional environment
• Superior organization and prioritization abilities
• Good collaborative and matrix management skills
• Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving skills
