    Manager: Commercials and Investments

    Job Purpose

    To provide commercial and investment advice related support services to the WMSA distribution division with respect to

    • all commercial elements of WMSA adviser and client propositions and the Distribution target operating model
    • all investment advice related aspects of the WMSA house view for clients and advisers

    The individual reports into the WMSA Distribution Head of Adviser Enablement

    Job Responsibilities

    • Supporting the commercial model underlying client and adviser value propositions and the WMSA Distribution target operating model
    • Developing and refining adviser remuneration and incentive models
    • Optimisation of distribution management and support model
    • Commercialisation of platform, product and fund provider relationships, including optimal business mix to enhance margins
    • Inform house view pricing decisions e.g. advice, product, portfolio management fees and adviser fee sharing to balance interests of advisers, clients & shareholder. This includes designing a standardised fee schedule for all out services and products that provides appropriate margin to the business
    • Establish a process for the approval of deviations from the pricing / fee schedule
    • Perform experience analysis on adviser and channel behaviour and processes and produce management insights

    • Prepare related reports to various Distribution and wider WMSA business forums
    • Support general analytical needs of the Adviser Enablement team wrt proposition, advice, product, fiduciary and technology.
    • Represent Distribution in the formulation of the investment advice proposition and investment house view for clients and advisers
    • Perform competitor and industry research to support WMSA business decisions and investment advice propositions and house views.
    • Represent Distribution on relevant WMSA forums
    • Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g. staff surveys etc).
    • Research and make recommendations for corporate citizenship initiatives in area of influence
    • Participate and support corporate responsibility initiatives for the achievement of business strategy

    Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

    • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees

    Preferred Qualification

    • B.Comm Investment Management / Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)/ Chartered Accountant (SA) / Partly/Newly qualified actuary with at least 3 years’ relevant experience in a Wealth Advisory business

    Preferred Certifications/Essential Certifications

    • Certified Financial Planner
    • FAIS representative and key individual

    Minimum Experience Level

    • 3-5 years’ experience in a wealth advisory business in the same capacity as this role or as a wealth manager or financial planner with the required exposure

    BB Services Manager

    Job Purpose

    • To market and sell Nedbank products to meet the needs of customers and stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g. staff surveys etc).
    • Participate and support corporate social responsibility initiatives for the achievement of key business strategies.
    • Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance processes; systems and policies and support implementation of new processes; policies and systems.
    • Keep abreast of legislation and other industry changes that impacts on role by reading the relevant newsletters; websites and attending sessions.

    • Complete verification procedure for all applications by following business unit requirements.
    • Report daily statistics to managers for consolidation.Use recommendations from managers report to improve on the quality of work.

    Minimum Experience Level

    • 1-2 years experience at Sales Consultant level

    Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

    • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate

    Preferred Qualification

    • Sales or Marketing Certificate or Bcomm Marketing, FAIS Qualification, Regulatory Examination 1.
