An opportunity has become available for a Senior Business Development Manager within Tied Agency Distribution. The successful incumbent will be based at the office in Bellville. This role will primarily be responsible for the implementation and support of the Santam Tied Agent Model and the overall support of the Sanlam Short Term Insurance Advisers.

Key Responsibilities

• Actively promoting the Santam Tied Agent Model and new Remuneration Model.
• Management and support of the BDM's in the region.
• Working closely with SFA Regional Management to agree and implement Short Term Insurance growth plans for their respective areas.
• Overall responsibility for the entire on-boarding process of new advisers/practices/brokers – both onto the Sanlam STi and the Santam Tied Agent platforms.
• Provide support to BDM's to ensure achievement of regional GWP and vesting targets.
• Guiding and assisting BDM's and advisers in accessing and placing cover with Santam Niche Product Providers.
• Other business development, management and support functions, as required.
• Drive and manage agent productivity targets.

Minimum Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Matric Qualification /Grade 12
• RE Qualification
• Short Term Insurance related qualification
• FAIS Compliant (60 credits on NQF level 4)
• Accredited in respect of both Personal and Commercial Lines
• 5 years+ Personal and Commercial Lines experience
• Meet fit and proper requirements in terms of the FAIS Act
• Business related qualification will be advantageous
• 3 years management experience

Santam’s Broker Services North – Mpumalanga Region has a position available for a Service Consultant who will be based in Middleburg, Mpumalanga.

Key Responsibilities

The Service Consultant customer role provides customer support that requires a unique understanding of a diversity of product and customer issues gained through significant experience.

The position acts as a resource to other customer support staff on systems and processes, providing training and responding to questions on own to address nonstandard situations. The Service Consultant should also be able to conduct basic root cause analysis to resolve customer queries.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric qualification
• Telephonic experience
• Minimum 2 - 3 years’ experience in short-term insurance
• FAIS compliance - 60 credits CL, 30 credits PL or 120 credits after year 2010
• RE 1

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
