    Production Planner

    What You'll Be Doing

    • Ensuring the highest possible service level is achieved by strategically optimizing product flow through the supply chain.
    • Stabilize New Product Development (NPD) agenda and deliver NPD on time in full.
    • Effectively minimize inventory cost and control functions to planning department standards.
    • Minimize Air freight spend through effective forward planning and SLA management.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Balance daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly supply and demand issues whilst maintaining inventory targets.
    • Liaison with local and regional planners, marketing and sales to ensure service delivery.
    • Facilitating Risk Review meetings.
    • Collating and processing of statistical information.
    • Proactively liaise with stakeholders in the supply chain to improve service levels, reduce inventory, and air freight cost.
    • Evaluating purchase orders to create suitable production schedules.
    • Preparation of Supply review slides.
    • Version control – responsible for system accuracy.
    • Analyze stock on hand figures to actively drive down inventory days.
    • Manage the NPD process and Stage gate from initiation to Completion to order placement to CM’S.
    • Campaign readiness preparation report – to highlight operational consequences and needs.
    • Concorde system setup before campaign go-live date.
    • Run down stock quantities in readiness for new product entries and phase outs (Status Conversion) - (PIPO).
    • Liaise and support the marketing department on any initiatives to deplete excess ,aged or discontinued stock items through Inventory reduction initiatives.
    • Promptly addressing and resolving production issues to minimize delays in production.
    • Recommending viable solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality.
    • Estimating the amount of material, equipment, and labour required for production.
    • Manage the Red List/ Expired Materials at All CM’s.

    • Manage the complete Gifting process.

    We'd Love You To Have

    • Relevant University Degree (pref. Supply Chain Related).
    • Proven experience working as a production planner.
    • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
    • Sound knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and related software.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Effective communication skills.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of best in class supply chain and planning practices.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of lean supply chain practices
    • Proven experience in implementing supply chain agility improvements.

    What You'll Be Doing

    Job Description Summary / Purpose of role

    • Accurate forecasting is a key driver for Business KPI’s - critical in supporting the Representative and business profitability through providing insights to trends, risks and opportunities, and in reduction in inventory and improvement of service
    • Accurately forecast concepts over the required time horizons and load on time into APT
    • Communicate risks (upside or downside) or confirmed changes to Supply Chain
    • Accurately review and amend concept splits (shades / colour / sizes) for creative execution
    • Maintain accurate and up to date in line concept splits (if relevant)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Accurately and timely forecasting of concepts
    • Using the most up to date appropriate and key historical data
    • Amending for creative execution
    • On schedule loading to APT, double check demands in Maps for visibility to supply chain.
    • Amend forecast following trend results
    • Analyzing results for lessons to learn
    • Analysis for Key drivers for success
    • Identify risks and communicate to the Business and Supply Chain
    • Ensure the integrity of the Forecast inputs (the impact of Source of Sales and the New Product Forecasts) and impact of cannibalization
    • Update concept splits (shade / colour / size) where required
    • Accuracy tracking and analysis for KPI improvement
    • Run Tab accuracy reports tracking Business KPI’s for Wape Bulls Eye & Bias
    • Analyse Outliers
    • Complete Root Cause Analysis results for issues with ideas for improving KPI’s
    • Ad Hoc tasks in support of DP Team & Project Work
    • Track results for improvement in performance -
    • Newness vs trends and actuals - implement where applicable changes following latest results to maximize impact on accuracy KPI’s, service and inventory improvement
    • In line results for changing patterns – update future forecasts based on observed trends
    • Run campaign Wape & Bulls Eye Tableau reports vs Business KPI’s (Inventory & service) – analysis results for improvement
    • Complete root cause analysis and implement learnings.

    We'd Love You To Have

    • BCom Degree (Pref Supply chain related / Economics) / BCom Hons / Industrial Engineering
    • 2-3 years’ experience in similar business environment
    • Forecasting or data analysis experience required together with excellent organizational skills. Attention to detail is critical in this role
    • Strong ability to analysis data and understand weighting data within the category and overall business context for accurate forecasting.
    • Forecast inaccuracy will directly impact service to Representatives and also could increase inventory levels that directly impact business profitability – Supply Chain, Representative , Commercial marketing
    • Key Influencers, Partnerships & Interaction Type
    • Good communication skills required with extensive cross functional collaboration
    • No overall knowledge of direct selling required but a good understanding of sales and operations planning / supply chain / commercial impact of demand planning is needed
    • Passionate driver – Take responsibility for results, actions and resolving issues working to tight deadlines within a pressurized environment
    • Emotionally intelligent – Seeks feedback and manages impact of style on others
    • Global builder – build relationship with Supply chain, Category & Core Store through use of effective communication
    • Dealing with ambiguity – forecasts by nature are never correct and everyone will have an opinion; forecasters need to be comfortable with this.
