    QA Engineer

    The Department

    • QA (Quality Assurance) are responsible for the overall quality and testing architecture of our products that our department produces. We use a range of innovative front-end and back-end tools & technology to drive robust, well-engineered practices through to delivery, giving the business that sought after confidence. Consisting of QA Manager, Test Architects, Performance Test Manager, Performance Test Engineers and QA Engineers, we have a deeply embedded culture of collaboration, sharing our experiences and skills throughout.

    Purpose Of The Role

    • QA Engineers will perform testing procedures on Web/Mobile Applications and ensure all errors are identified and corrected before releasing to production.
    • You will be involved in ensuring high quality is engrained into teams as well as working closely with developers to give them a test perspective.

    Duties Will Include (but Not Limited To)

    • Quality from the start – get involved in the user story definition process and write test scenarios upfront.
    • Bring a QA perspective to planning sessions and ensure test effort is taken into consideration.
    • Work close with developers to ensure that quality is considered and they are creating the right kind of tests.
    • Work with product owners to ensure they sign off work items during the UAT phase.
    • Support - Assist with resolution and reproduction of user software problems.
    • Creation of automated test within as well as conversion of current manual tests.
    • Work within the ATDD framework and define items using BDD style syntax.
    • Ensure that bugs are treated with importance and try to limit the amount that make it live.

    Essential Criteria

    • Full understanding of testing web/mobile applications, websites, and associated technologies
    • An understanding of testing backend services, specifically microservice architecture
    • Communication skills - ability to communicate with clients and line management effectively
    • Experience of Agile methodology, either Scrum or Kanban
    • Experience with test automation tools and strategies
    • Experience of using BDD effectively
    • Proven JavaScript & TypeScript experience
    • Experience with any of the following Frameworks: WebDriver (not IDE) / WebDriver.IO /Playwright Cypress / TestCafe
    • Experience with Continuous Delivery processes & tools
    • Exposure to API testing practices & tools
    • Basic abilities with YAML
    • An awareness to key metrics for measuring the performance of QA efforts
    • An awareness towards processes for feature flag testing and testing in production

    Desirable Criteria

    • Specialist software testing skills and knowledge of structured software testing methodologies gained through formal training
    • Previous exposure to Microsoft Azure DevOps & VSTS
    • Experience with actively developing & managing Docker infrastructure
    • Experience with managing & creating Owaps Zap testing scripts for security testing
    • Exposure to Sauselabs or other tools for mobile testing
    • Experience with Terraform / Pulumi

    Financial Accountant - Fixed Term Contract

    Purpose Of The Role

    • This role reports into the Finance Manager for the Support Silo and is responsible for accounting for all transactions, reconciliations, and reporting for the Support Silo and related entities.

    Financial Reporting
    Duties include, but not limited to:

    • Monthly management reports
    • Check to ensure that data is posted correctly by product, region, brand.
    • Reconcile data imported into NAV to the Audit Report.
    • Match all open items in vendors and customers.
    • Investigate anomalies and open items timeously and provide necessary feedback to stakeholders.
    • Run weekly open item reports and follow up on long outstanding items.
    • Calculation of monthly outsource fees and rebates and checking that this agrees to the terms of the contract.
    • Posting accruals, and prepayments and ensure that finance assistance has posted invoices.
    • Review inventory & travel management report prepared by the finance assistance.
    • Assist with the analysis of expenses, with commentary (Opex, IS and Fee files) ensuring all expenses have been categorized and allocated correctly across all business units.
    • Review commentary has been added by the creditor's controller for validity.
    • Assist with the preparation of monthly income statement files, including commentaries per expense type and brand.
    • Posting all intercompany and intergroup billing.
    • Fixed asset reporting and recons, ensuring that all assets are correctly captured.
    • Run depreciation.
    • Run FX.
    • Proactively resolve any queries raised.
    • Analytical reporting
    • Ensure that all relevant data is split by product, region, platform, brand where appropriate.
    • Preparation of monthly income statement with relevant commentary.
    • Preparation of monthly brand income statement.

    Corporate Governance

    • Audits
    • Preparation of audit files & upload of evidence.
    • Liaise with other contributors to ensure completeness of all audit files.
    • Liaise with the manager regarding all queries from the external auditors.
    • Resolve queries from external auditors in a timely manner.
    • SOX/Internal controls
    • Ensure that all controls are adhered to, documented, and implemented for SOX/Internal compliance.
    • Evidence of internal controls are timeously submitted.
    • Tax management and compliance
    • Preparation of corporate tax and VAT calculations per entity.
    • Prepare all related reporting for annual returns, regulatory reports.
    • Reconciliation of all VAT and tax vendors and matching to ensure submission and payments to the authorities have been timeously made.
    • Ensure all calculations are submitted for review in a timely manner.
    • Effective correspondence with local tax authority and follow up on outstanding items.

    Funds And Assets Management

    • Cash flow
    • Run vendor open items reports weekly and request payment of open items due for payment.
    • Check cash available for required payments.
    • Ensure timeous supplier and intergroup payments.
    • Prepare weekly payments, ensuring that the correct amounts and suppliers are paid.

    Robust And Critical Systems And Controls

    • Policies and procedures
    • Assist in the drafting of process notes detailing how and why monthly tasks are performed to ensure business continuity.

    Financials Staffing

    • KPI management
    • Effectively work as a team with relevant team members.
    • Effectively communicate to manager and team members to ensure key deliverables are met on time and potential problems escalated.

    • BCom financial accounting degree or related qualification and Articles.

    Reporting Accountant

    Purpose Of The Role

    • The purpose of this role is to fulfil the management of certain reporting requirements of the Group including the monthly management reporting, statutory financial statement consolidations, board reporting and any additional reports as required from time to time.
    • This role will report into the Reporting Manager and will work closely with the finance team across the Group to ensure that all reporting is standardized, the group financial reporting is IFRS compliant and various reporting timelines are strictly met. This role will also be required to work closely with the statutory pods to ensure that all reports are received on time and in the format required for the overall Group reporting.

    Duties Include, But Not Limited To
    External Reporting
    Annual and Quarterly Financial Reporting

    • Preparation of in-country financial statements templates to ensure that all financial statements are reviewed and submitted using the correct accounting standards. Guidance to Statutory managers on appropriate IFRS application.
    • Follow best practice for the implementation and review of all financial reporting controls.

    Board reporting

    • Preparation and co-ordination of the quarterly and ad hoc board reports.
    • Alignment of board reports across all segments.
    • Work with the Finance Directors in each segment to ensure standardization of reporting.

    Other Group Regulatory Reporting

    • Preparation of the financial information to support all other group regulatory reporting. (e.g., Country by Country Reporting)

    Assistance With, Where Required
    Annual and Quarterly Financial Reporting

    Assistance with the compilation of group consolidated financial statements:

    • Assistance with all technical accounting analysis, including technical accounting papers describing the appropriate accounting treatment.
    • Assist team members with complex accounting transactions such as acquisitions, disposals and group restructurings etc.
    • Assist with annual tests for business combination impairments.
    • Assist with review of consolidated schedules received from segments.

    Month-end reporting

    • Rollover and review of the group management accounts for the Group, ensuring updated for any changes to the accounts in the period.
    • Consolidation of monthly management accounts for the Group ensuring each Operating segment is using the standardized Group reports.
    • Distribution of monthly Group reports to the relevant stakeholder.

    Reporting systems

    • Obtain and maintain relevant group structures in Cognos for all group reporting.
    • Review mapping of new entities in Cognos and ensuring all reporting updated accordingly.
    • Provide guidance to finance teams with new company set up for entities the statutory structure (organic or acquired) in Navision and Cognos ensuring consistency with all other entities, where required.
    • Mapping of all new accounts in Cognos and ensure consistency across all entities.
    • Review Cognos KPI’s to ensure relevance and accurate calculations.
    • Drive efficiencies in reporting through the use of cubes and active forms etc.

    Teamwork

    • Communicate clearly and effectively at all levels, both internally and externally.
    • Openly communicate with managers and team members to ensure that all key deliverables are met on time and accurately and any queries are resolved timeously.

    • Establish and document all financial reporting policies, procedures and controls relevant to your area.

    • Resolution of accounting treatment discrepancies and setting up best practice techniques for the segments to follow going forward.
    • Provide support in preparing technical memos on bespoke accounting matters in line with IFRS.
    • Subject matter expert for technical accounting matters.
    • Other ad-hoc finance related tasks.

    • Qualified CA or ACCA or similar International Qualification
    • 5-8 years of experience in a large audit firm with multinational clients
    • Financial accounting reporting experience, strong understanding of IFRS
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel

    • Knowledge and proven experience on Navision
    • Good understanding of US GAAP
    • Knowledge and proven experience on Cognos TM1 and Workiva
    • SQL reporting and capabilities will be advantageous
