    Talent Performance and Development Partner

    Your mission will involve:

    • Owning, designing, organising and facilitating performance and development products that support Luno’s business aspirations and a high performance culture
    • Ensuring that our strategy and People products embed our Moontality and ultimately support Luno’s mission of being piloted by a high performing team
    • Collaborating with stakeholders to put forward measurable outcome-driven, impactful initiatives Luno that is easy to tailor for localised needs

    A little about you:

    • Worked in a high growth, global business, which will help you navigate changing priorities, ambiguity and allow you to design solutions that reflect our cultural diversity
    • 4+ Years proven experience as either an HR or L&D practitioner, where you can demonstrate how you have applied impactful solutions to performance and development challenges
    • Proven experience in planning and executing cross functional initiatives
    • A good business sense and understanding, with the ability to balance what the business needs vs People team aspirations
    • A proven data-driven approach, with the ability to collect data and understand data
    • Strong facilitation skills, with the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner
    • Ability to apply critical and creative thinking to create engaging and impactful products, recognising that there is no “one size fits all” approach
    • A bias for action; being comfortable in taking the lead, giving direction and taking responsibility to ensure delivery of agreed outcomes
    • A familiarity with product design principles and ideologies would be beneficial
    • The ability to work effectively under pressure, adapt to rapid changes in information, meet deadlines and be accountable for performance in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

    People Partner - Cape Town / Johannesburg

    Your mission will involve:

    • Management coaching: As a People Partner a large proportion of your role will be on the (virtual) ground providing proactive support to our People Managers with coaching, advice, and guidance on all things people-related.
    • Change management: We see ourselves as change makers. There are plenty of exciting changes happening. You will have the opportunity to work with the wider People Team on change management programs for your location, functions as well as globally.

    • Organisational design: Support the business with organisational design to optimise the team and role structures, facilitate role levelling, and partner with your stakeholders and Talent Acquisition team on the headcount needs of your stakeholders.
    • Employee Relations: Be a trusted partner able to guide, investigate, and facilitate processes and make recommendations relating to misconduct, underperformance, probation, incapacity, and other challenges that may arise.
    • People Projects: Lead, drive, manage, and measure the success and impact of people projects within your relevant stakeholder groups.
    • Data & insights: Manage people-related data and support your stakeholders with key people insights to support decision-making, strategy development, and initiative prioritisation.

    A little about you:

    • Bachelor's degree in Organisational Psychology or Human Resource Management
    • 5-8 years experience in a people partnering or related role
    • Well-rounded knowledge of South African employment legislation is a must. It would be advantageous to have UK or SEA employment legislation knowledge
    • Highly advantageous to have organisational design experience
    • Attention to detail, strong sense of responsibility, and very high level of integrity
    • A self-starter, can-do, get-things-done attitude
    • Approachability, self-awareness, and good people skills are a must
    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high proficiency in English

    Data Architect - Cape Town / Johannesburg

    Your mission will be:

    • Leading the technological choices, tools and business processes used to ensure consistent data and high data quality across all workflows
    • Working with Product management, Data Science and Business Analysts to identify core Data Products, and designing the data flows necessary to create them.
    • Defining and implementing the strategy around data governance, data privacy & security
    • Collaboration with the Data Engineering Manager, Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Product Managers, Business partners and cross-Fleet Architecture.
    • Defining, developing, implementing and evolving the data model for all business domains, ensuring alignment across the group.
    • Contributing to the overall data platform strategy, road-mapping, data product delivery, information security and compliance
    • Championing and contributing to our creation and maintenance of a data catalogue and a ubiquitous language that we can use to rationalise our use of data across the business.
    • Identify areas of innovation in data tools and techniques, and recognise appropriate timing for adoption
    • Mentoring and developing the team of data engineers and the larger engineering team on best data practices.

    A little about you:

    • 5+ years experience in a similar role
    • Experience as a Data Architect within a regulated environment (eg gambling, finance, crypto, health, public companies)
    • Deep understanding of data models, standards and tools used across architecture, and engineering.
    • Experience working within strategy and product development teams to support global data projects.
    • Demonstrated understanding of data governance and data policy for an enterprise environment
    • Understanding of Metadata Management, able to design and maintain metadata repos to enable Luno to understand our data assets.
    • Experience building solutions within a cloud environment (ideally AWS)
    • Experience with Databricks would be awesome
    • Experience working with Apache Spark
    • Strong skillsets in the core competencies of a data architect: systems development (lifecycle management including testing; predictive analytics; data visualisation), global data management (systems and interfaces; standards; roadmaps)

    Senior Site Reliability Engineer - Cape Town / Johannesburg

    Your mission will involve:

    • Being part of the integral foundation of the Luno platform, you will get to apply your knowledge and experience to the various SRE projects at Luno.
    • Building and scaling infrastructure, version control systems and CI/CD processes on the Luno platform by applying and enforcing Infrastructure as Code, which is accessed by over 8 million customers, in nearly 50 countries through various phases of the crypto trading lifecycle.
    • Being security first when building scalable infrastructure
    • Preparing on being scalable for the next crypto bull run
    • Enabling other teams to scale by provisioning infrastructure that scales
    • Being compliant with various security and legal/compliance audits that we apply for and encounter in the crypto industry

    A little about you:

    • Prior experience in a software engineering / DevOps / Site Reliability / Platform engineering role.
    • Experience with setting up, deploying, scaling, and managing containerized environments using Kubernetes in production
    • Experience in managing large infrastructure projects using Terraform
    • Experienced with setting up, deploying, and managing various AWS services

    Reward Manager - Cape Town / Johannesburg

    Your mission will be:

    • Work on company wide compensation processes including salary review, benchmarking, bonus, and long term incentive plans.
    • Support with the management of all aspects of the company bonus schemes, including: Annual review of bonus schemes, liaising with Senior Management to set annual rules.
    • Facilitate individual bonus payments and communications
    • Provide insights reports and recommendations on various aspects of the reward agenda such as pay strategy and gender pay.
    • Implementing relevant HR metrics in order to determine the efficiency and impact of the workforce.
    • Analysing data and statistics for trends with regard to recruitment practices, motivation, turnover, and compliance with employment laws.

    • A working knowledge of the statutory requirements affecting compensation issues in South Africa, UK and APAC.
    • Advanced level Excel and Google sheets competency
    • A strong knowledge of reward principles, practices, and trends
    • Ability to conduct project work and associated research independently
    • A collaborative and flexible approach, with the ability to work well with stakeholders at all levels
    • Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to interpret and to reconcile complex financial data from a variety of sources using tools such as Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.
    • Demonstrable knowledge of current legislation with regards to pay conditions and the tax treatment of fringe benefits.
    • Ability to prioritise workloads effectively, balancing conflicting deadlines and achieving results and deliverables within fixed timescales.
    • A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
    • A confident and persuasive communication style, both written and verbal
    • Detail oriented with excellent organisational skills.
