    Chief Commercial Officer

    About the role

    • The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) will lead the commercial success of the company across all verticals and markets. The individual will develop new sales channels, build and lead effective regional sales teams, lead a team of industry experts responsible for their respective industry commercial performance, and be responsible for performance and governance across all Mezzanine sales channels. Through the commercial team, the CCO will deliver annual sales targets against the company and product portfolio long range plan and commercial success metrics e.g. contribution margin, EBIT and cash flow.
    • The direct reports of the CCO will include the regional Head of Sales; Head of Commercial; Channel Managers; industry Managing Executives (Health, Agriculture, Utilities and Financial Services), as well as the Marketing Manager.
    • The ideal individual will be a rainmaker (have an ability to bring in new business by association) and have an excellent system-, lateral thinking and deal making ability with sales experience in the digital enterprise solutions space. The individual will be a leader that is able to generate results through the commercial team. The individual will have strong digital and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) commercial knowledge and experience within sub-Saharan Africa in an ICT solutions environment.

    Requirements

    • 10+ years of experience in successful digital solution sales and commercials
    • A tertiary qualification - science or commerce
    • Excellent negotiation skills
    • Good presentation skills and comfortable in professional discussions and complex solution sales negotiations with 3rd parties on C-Level
    • Leadership - build and lead effective sales teams and cross-functional teams in a high-growth sector
    • Sub-Saharan Africa work experience in an ICT solutions environment and proven track record in working with multinational corporates with matrix organisations
    • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
    • Be willing to travel extensively across Africa - channel- and customer engagements

    Talent Experience Specialist

    What you will do

    • You will be responsible for attracting, engaging and retaining dynamic individuals that are passionate about making an impact through their skills in Africa and beyond.
    • You will be responsible for identifying key channels to attract talent, working closely with Marketing to communicate our Employee Value Proposition and build a network of sourcing partners. You will monitor staff engagement, identify key interventions to drive engagement and drive the implementation of those initiatives. You will also be responsible for our young talent programmes, being the go-to-person for young talent and ensuring that the programme unlocks the potential of the young talent. Being part of a small interdependent HR team, you will be exposed and co-responsible for all other HR functions.

    Responsibilities:

    • Work collaboratively with our marketing manager to plan, develop, and share content on our social media channels
    • Support the creation and implementation of email marketing and nurture campaigns
    • Stay up-to-date with digital marketing strategies and best practice
    • Provide general support to the marketing manager as needed

    Requirements:

    • Pursuing or recently completed a postgraduate degree in digital marketing or a related field.
    • Able to build and implement a social media content calendar
    • Familiar with social media platforms such as LinkedIn and Twitter and able to post, share, and respond to posts or messages

    What you will do

    • You will take full ownership of our Smart Asset Management Solution (SAMS) including our new Virtual Wheeling Platform (VWP). SAMS offers asset visibility, lifecycle management and decision support to municipalities and other asset intensive organisations. Our VWP enables the wheeling of renewable energy over the grid helping to solve load shedding and promote a sustainable energy future. You could be part of maximising service delivery to citizens throughout Africa.
    • As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for protecting the WHY, understanding the WHAT, and guiding the HOW of your product. More specifically, this role involves identifying opportunities and developing proposals for new features, facilitating the product forum to prioritise features, managing the product roadmap, scheduling deliverables for and managing the development team, monitoring deployments, ensuring that the solutions address clients’ needs, and driving user adoption.
    • You will need to have good interpersonal skills to engage with all the various stakeholders, excellent project management skills, and be attentive to detail. Your experience in electrical engineering will be essential. .

    • 4+ years’ experience in managing software development with supervisory responsibilities

    Senior Java Developer (Platform Team)

    What you will do

    • You will form part of the Helium team that develops the Platform-as-a-Service product (Helium) of Mezzanine and who maintains a governance framework for technology and product development in Mezzanine.
    • You will be leading the architectural design and own the technical excellence of the product. You will develop and communicate the use of ‘best practice’ during product development and contribute towards the technical development of junior product developers.
