    Senior Electrical Engineer

    Qualifications/Experience: 

    • B. Eng/B Sc in Electrical Engineering.
    • Registration as Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa.
    • >8 years’ experience.
    • Experience in leading an engineering team in a basic and detail design function.

    Knowledge Requirements:

    • LV & MV Detail Design Engineering background – Distribution board design, electrical panel & system design, switchgear, and auxiliary system design.
    • Knowledge and mastery of petrochemical and industry design specifications, standards, legislation, and international best practices.
    • Ability to supervise, guide, and lead the electrical engineering team and to continuously update the philosophy on generating quality engineering deliverables as per client and business requirements.
    • Construction and commissioning exposure.
    • Understanding of other engineering disciplines’ processes and how to integrate with other disciplines’ interfaces.
    • Affinity for and experience in business management of a sub-group in a professional services company.

    Required Outputs and Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for managing results through a team.
    • Responsible for the development of engineering design solutions to support projects and clients as part of the services the Secunda team renders.
    • Development of basic and detail design deliverables effectively and efficiently within engineering budget, on time, and to sufficient quality.
    • Liaise with client to gain insight into problem statements/scope definition of design requirements.
    • Attend weekly or monthly progress meetings internal and external.
    • Planning and prioritizing design effort to ensure effective delivery to projects.
    • Skill sharing and development of team members.
    • Driving interfacing between other disciplines.
    • Compiling tenders and quotation for new projects. Responsible for business development; introducing new and retaining existing clients to Proconics to be able to secure work.
    • Take responsibility for your development and stay ahead of the industry standard, including maintaining your registration with professional bodies.
    • Willing to travel outside of Secunda for work at times.

    Marketing and Communications Specialist

    Purpose of the position:

    • We are seeking a dynamic and results driven Marketing & Communications Specialist to develop and implement strategic initiatives that strengthen the collective brand identity, values, and offerings of the Proconics group of companies. This role ensures consistent, impactful messaging across internal and external audiences, aligning communication efforts with business objectives and delivery outcomes across the group. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in public relations, with proven ability to build trust, manage reputation, and drive engagement that translates into measurable business results.

    Qualifications/Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
    • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in marketing, communications, and PR, ideally with multi-business or B2B exposure.

    Junior Software Developer

    Purpose of the position:

    • The (Junior) Software Developer will support the design, development, and deployment of modern software and AI-driven solutions across the organization. This role is ideal for a developer who is comfortable working across the full stack and is excited about leveraging AI tools to accelerate development and innovation. The successful candidate will contribute to building web applications, AI tools, workflow automations (Nintex), and SharePoint-based solutions. They will work closely with the Automation Team Lead and Development Team to scope, design, develop, and maintain scalable solutions that create real operational impact.
    • This role requires someone who not only understands AI concepts but can effectively use AI-assisted development tools to build faster and smarter.

    Qualifications/Experience:
