    What you will do in the role

    As a Senior Software Engineer joining the team at Prodigy you will be exposed to the functioning of the product, operations and business development teams and you will increasingly take on a leadership and decision making role as we craft the Prodigy Finance platform.

    Specific responsibilities are to:

    • Become an integral and trusted member of the tech team; be a team leader, coach and mentor, decision maker and handle a full caseload of hands-on coding/implementation projects.
    • Take a leadership and decision making role in the technical architecture and implementation of the platform build. This includes project prioritization, evaluating technical debt, technical problem resolution, resource planning for sprint cycles, planning and designing core feature implementation and Greenfield projects.
    • Execute a number of projects which contribute to the build of our platform. Take responsibility for coding core-feature implementation projects and Greenfield projects. Make an impactful contribution, ask great questions, and execute high quality work.

    What you will do in the role

    As our Legal Assistant/Paralegal in our Legal Team, you will assist with enforcing our legal collection processes, and providing legal and administration support to General Counsel.

    Specific responsibilities include:

    • Legal enforcement process:
      • Attend to the administration of the legal enforcement process by working closely with our Collections Team
      • Ensure enforcement folders are populated with the requirement information and documentation for all stages
      • Recordkeeping for all correspondence with our borrowers, law firms and tracing agencies
      • Recordkeeping of credit risk and operational committee decisions regarding enforcement matters
      • Prepare reports for credit risk and operational committee decisions
      • Record and prepare minutes for monthly meeting to discuss movements thought the enforcement stages
      • Respond to requests for information from law firms
      • Monitor external legal costs against agreed capped fees
      • Keep the legal enforcement database up to date, in respect of status updates, external legal fees and other costs
      • Prepare reports for General Counsel to decide on the next steps in the enforcement stages
      • Manage reports with tracing firms and conduct social media and desktop searches to trace and confirm location of delinquent borrowers
    • General:
      • Conduct legal, factual and records research in respect of all enforcement files.
      • Organise and analyse information
      • Cross-check and validate information
      • Prepare written reports and correspondence
      • Check and edit legal forms and documents for accuracy
      • Build and maintain databases and organise and track case files
      • Create, maintain and organise a legal library for all legal options, guidance and other responses from external legal resources, pertaining to enforcement
      • Assist the Legal Team with legal enforcement projects – attending to the administration, management and setting up of meetings, etc.

    • Experience working within a financial services regulatory environment
    • Broad knowledge of legal research techniques, legal terminology and legal communication principles and practices
    • Fluent in English
    • Computer literate and highly proficient on MS Excel, Word and Outlook

    Experience that would be nice to have (but we’ll trade off if everything else fits)

    • Law qualification preferred or studying toward such a degree
    • Fintech experience

    What you will do in the role

    As the Customer Success Team Lead (Verifications Onshore) you will work alongside the Customer Success Team Lead (Verifications Offshore) and the other Team Leads, reporting through to the Originations Manager.

    You will be responsible for ensuring our students receive consistent service levels and conversion of applications whilst developing the Cape Town team and their operating practices. This is the middle leg in the Loans Originations process, requiring you to be the centre of excellence and deliver strong staff and customer focus to our students. You will need to work closely with the Originations and Business Development teams to plan for expected loan volume.

    What you will be judged on

    • Recruit and train for Cape Town verification vacancies or product/ process updates for existing staff
    • Analyse quality scores, prioritise calibration topics and trends to maximise quality outputs (All)
    • Ensure that internal and student FAQ and SOPs are current and aligned to current processes and policies, and updating and tracking changes where need be (All)
    • Manage the process of rolling out SOP’s in a version controlled, tracked and supportive way
    • Escalation and complaints handling in line with the complaints process
    • Resolve Team Leader tasks and escalations from Cape Town team
    • Manage the Cape Town team with extended coverage hours including PDPs, check ins, smile index etc
    • Must be strong on customer service and people performance management in alignment with our brand and culture
