    Commercial Manager

    Main Purpose:

    Responsible for establishing significant relationships with local industry stakeholders to convert business opportunities in sales. Sense of urgency to deliver volume, margin, cost, EBITDA targets per quarter and return of investments, coaching and motivating sales team to exceed targets, under a leading by doing approach. Responsible for developing local market expertise and profound knowledge of customer segment needs to build value propositions.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Led customer acquisition process and led generation with sales team through an opportunity pipeline management approach (e.g. SPANCOP = Suspect, Prospect, Approach, Negotiate, Contract, Order, and Payment) and CRM (Customer Relationship Management), which drive very much customer satisfaction, and company profitability.
    • Drive and coach the Sales Team to deliver volume, margin, cost, EBITDA targets of Bulk Fuels and lubricants in line with local & Global B2B Plans.
    • Monitor the performance of key customer accounts, contracts, assets, account receivables, debits and price / discount execution through sales team and internal interfaces with supply & logistic teams, finance, marketing, legal, CSC.
    • Build effective relationships with local market stakeholders (government, industry and key accounts) to develop business opportunities.
    • Monitor B2B and Lubes market segments trends, competitor movements and prepare sales forecasting per business segment for bulk fuels and lubes with support of Business Planning team.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Experience:  

    • Undergraduate University degree in Finance, Economics, International Business or other related field that would provide a strong background is required.
    • Master's Post Graduate degree is preferred. 7-10 years or more experience in related field including global experience in a leadership role including experience in development/planning/strategy at the corporate level.

    Skills:   

    • High level of proficiency in use of existing software packages (PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft Word, etc).
    • Ability to effectively interface with management at all levels and as well as contacts outside the organization.
    • Bilingual: English and +.

    Lubricants Marketing Manager

    Main Purpose:

    The Lubricants Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing plans that will increase brand awareness, generate leads, and drive sales for Puma Energy. The Marketing Manager will work closely with the Africa Marketing Lead, General Manager, and Retail Manager to develop and implement marketing strategies that align with Puma Energy's overall business goals.

    Planning

    Compliance Management

    Educational requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field

    Digital Marketing Manager

    In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive digital marketing strategy aligned with our overall business objectives.     • Develop and implement a data-driven digital marketing strategy: Conduct market research and competitor analysis to understand the competitor digital landscape. Identify target audiences and develop buyer personas. Craft a strategy that leverages SEO, SEM, content marketing, social media marketing, email marketing, and influencer marketing to achieve brand awareness, lead generation, and customer engagement goals.
    • Managing and collaborating with external agencies: Select and manage creative agencies, media buying agencies, and other relevant vendors. Oversee the development and execution of high-quality digital marketing campaigns, ensuring they meet brand guidelines and deliver on KPIs. Build strong relationships with agencies to foster effective collaboration and maximize campaign performance.
    • Setting and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) for all digital marketing campaigns: Define relevant KPIs for each campaign and channel, such as website traffic, lead generation, engagement metrics, and conversion rates. Regularly monitor performance, analyze data using marketing analytics tools, and identify areas for improvement. Translate data insights into actionable recommendations to optimize campaigns and strategies.
    • Creating engaging and informative content: Develop and manage a content calendar that caters to different audience segments and stages of the buyer journey. Create high-quality content, such as blog posts, infographics, videos, and case studies, that educates and engages audiences about your brand and offerings. Ensure content adheres to SEO best practices for increased organic discoverability.
    • Staying current with the latest digital marketing trends and technologies: Continuously research and stay updated on the latest digital marketing trends, tools, and technologies relevant to the B2B and African market. Identify and recommend new opportunities to leverage emerging technologies to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
    • Developing and maintaining a strong social media presence: Develop and manage social media strategies and content calendars for various platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and others (depending on target audiences). Create engaging content that resonates with your target audience and fosters brand awareness, community building, and lead generation. Monitor and analyze social media performance, and adjust strategies as needed.
    • Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate
    • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)

    Educational requirements

    Transformation Manager - BBBEE

    Main Purpose:

    The key focus for the individual is to monitor implementation of various BBBEE initiatives in areas of ownership, management control, Socio economic development, employment equity (EE), skills development and preferential procurement (PP). Responsible for supporting development and implementation of the EE plan.  The role will lead and execute the BBBEE strategy development and annual certification action over multiple years.  Assess and analyse company information, assess risks, evaluate opportunities and develop and engage and guide on strategies, actions and implementation approaches that support achievement of overall strategic BBBEE goals.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Demonstrate deep understanding of the BBBEE legislative framework, codes, best practices, emerging and future legislative and practice standards and leverage this as internal advisor and execution lead on BBBEE.  Assess and analyse company information, assess risks, evaluate opportunities and develop and engage and guide on strategies, actions and implementation approaches that support achievement of overall strategic BBBEE goals.
    • Address issues of non-compliance throughout the business and escalate issues of consistent non-compliance
    • Apply strategic thinking to government legislation, problem solving and developing value-adding strategies which align BBBEE legislation and objectives, the spirit of transformation and business strategy. Engage with external consultants, industry bodies, partners and internal leaders to guide and direct practical and actionable  BBBEE aligned business decision making.
    • Track and communicate results at the senior leadership level. Ability to access and analyze quantitative and qualitative data, assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, address partner concerns, make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs as they implement centralized guidance around the transformation program.  
    • Engage with external consultants, industry bodies, partners and internal leaders to guide and direct practical and actionable solutions that fit the unique business context of Puma Energy. 
    • Track Company's BBBEEE contributions and ensure the integrity of data and documentation of elements. Co-ordinate the company BBBEE process and guide and assist Executives, Senior Managers in the crafting of appropriate strategies and action plans to set and achieve the committed targets 
    • Driving B-BEEE compliance throughout the business which includes the education of all BBBEE stakeholders on relevant codes of good practice.  Build effective relationships with stakeholders internally and externally.
    • Coordinate Annual B-BBEE Audit and conduct internal and mini-audits across operations to ensure proactive gap closing, preparation for the annual BEE audit and close engagement with the verification agency.
    • Conduct information sessions with the Committees to highlight major changes, concerns, strategies, action plans.  Manage internal reporting and analyze B-BBEE data reports and make recommendations or initiate corrective action.

    Regional Fuel Quality Manager

    Main Purpose:

    The primary objective of the role is to facilitate the expansion of the Puma commercial fuel business by offering direct on-site and indirect technical support services to B2B customers, as well as Retail and Sales Teams. This entails thoroughly understanding the issues, requirements, and needs of customers and leveraging this insight to devise value-added proposals in collaboration with the sales team. Establishing robust customer relationships, particularly with technical and engineering staff, is crucial. Additionally, the role involves identifying opportunities for new fuel and additive products, introducing them to the market, and supporting the sales and marketing teams in their promotion. Furthermore, the incumbent will contribute to the development of sales support materials such as product datasheets, case studies, customer testimonials, and training materials. Emphasizing a blend of technical expertise and strong sales acumen, this position aims to showcase Puma's proficiency in fuel quality management and solutions while driving value for customers

    Key Responsibilities     

    • Support the sales team to identify and develop customer value and cost savings opportunities to develop comprehensive CVP’s (Customer Value Proposition) to build sustainable business.
    • Active direct on-site engagement with the key stakeholders at these prospect customers to understand their activity and identify their issues with a view to provide an offer that would add value.
    • Assist the sales team to handle and resolve customer enquiries, complaints, queries and if required undertake trouble shooting visits at the customer site, Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
    • Support the sales team to undertake technical surveys at customer sites to understand the customer fuel system requirements and current methods of operation.
    • Assist the sales team to set-up and manage solution evaluations, including agreed upon evaluation KPI’s, at customer sites and develop a robust business case process on demonstrating the value of our products back to the customer after the evaluation has been completed.

    Quality Management    

    • Comply and support the Quality Management system in all aspects of the role.
    • Adopt and implement the principles of continuous improvement.
    • Ensure the awareness of customer requirements (internal & external) are promoted throughout the business.
    • Review, monitor and provide feedback on the effectiveness of the fuel quality management system.

    Work Experience: 

    • Preferred Post graduate university / Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering,

    Non Fuels Retail Manager (NFR)

    Main Purpose:

    Responsible for develop and execute the country’s marketing and convenience retailing business plan, aligned with the Regional Strategic Guidelines.  Main Focus on achieving results of Non Fuels Retail (NFR) Income (Shops, Supplier Rebates, QSR, ATMs, others), by implementing NFR Value Proposition, CATMAN, Operating Cost Optimization, Store Enhancement, Information System and Execution Culture.  Take actions needed to ensure the NFR P&L Budget. Monitor the local trends of NFR Business. Close relationship with Retail Operation Manager to ensure the action plans executions. Responsible for complying with the marketing and advertising budget and deliver superior results on a sustained basis.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Category Management

    • Analyze and make decisions based on store profitability
    • Coordinate periodic meetings with C-Store operators to validate/review marketing plans with their input
    • C-Store visits to audit inventory levels, promotional plan and planograms execution, pricing strategy, food safety, recipe procedures and approved supplier purchases, general image details
    • Ensure marketing guidelines are effectively implemented throughout all C-Store chain

    SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

    Preferred Education: 

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, communication, advertising or related areas, Business Management or Administration
    • An added advantage - Master’s Degree  in Marketing, communication, advertising or related areas, Business Management or Administration

    Experience:  

    • Extensive knowledge and experience of Retail Operations/Sales, FMCG, leading teams and/or relationship management
    • Expert knowledge of current industry / marketing trends
    • Extensive experience in marketing, merchandising, advertising, brand management or sales.
