    Mission/Position Headline

    • Ensures implementation of EHS standards, principles and guidelines at site. Contributes to
    • implementation of effective EHS Management System which meets customer, regulatory and
    • Siemens needs.
    • Contributes to set local EHS related targets and requests the required EHS ressources to meet
    • these targets. Serves as key contact for all EHS matters.
    • Ensures proper qualification and leads the EHS team members/experts and liases with all relevant
    • functions and stakeholders.
    • Consults local business management on all EHS related matters.
    • Ensures effectiveness of operational control and EHS related processes.
    • Promotes a holistic and comprehensive understanding of EHS

    Area of Responsibility

    One Local EHS Manager is responsible for one or several sites & locations or several Local EHS Managers are responsible for sites/location. A site/location represents one or more divisions.

    Management Systems:

    • Supports the implementation, actively monitors, controls and reports as required
    • Acts as single point of contact for external and internal audits for coordination
    • Controls, if all relevant local units are "under the umbrella" of a Management system

    Functional responsibility

    • consults to EHS functional topic areas (all relevant EHS topic areas of EHS principles)
    • assess the effectiveness of operational control and risk mitigation
    • Drives EHS related programs and initiatives.

    Leadership & Qualification

    • guides, leads local EHS experts
    • agrees & commits targets with local experts, and monitors target achievements
    • Identifies development and training needs, and ensures that required measures are taken
    • Supports and advices the experts in fulfilling their tasks.

    Partner Management & Collaboration

    • establishes reliable cooperations with all relevant partners, internal and external to improve EHS performance
    • encourages employees, employee representatives to contribute to, and engage in EHS
    • gathers feedback from relevant partners, and takes actions to fasten their satisfaction with EHS
    • contributes to wider EHS community to advance EHS proficiency

    Continuous improvement

    • Determines, plans, initiates and coordinates continuous improvement activities with regard to the EHS Management System and internal and external requirements
    • Ensures that CAPAs (Corrective and preventive actions are executed).

    Reporting + Communication + Best practice knowledge

    • reports to Country EHS Officer, business, external authorities, if required or on demand
    • Ensures data quality (SESIS, HS Reporting and relevant local data, sustainability report) and time-lines /due dates
    • provides broad communication EHS/EHS material and measures for inclusion in team briefing and communications in alignment with business and EHS Officer
    • ensures promotion of best practices and shares lessons learned across location.

    Management Consulting:

    • consults location management in interpretation of legal and Siemens internal requirements (e.g. Zero Harm)
    • Acts as interface to different business managers at Siemens
    • Consults location management in execution of local EHS initiatives
    • Coordinates EHS aspects between different business needs on local management level.

    • ambition of EHS targets and quality of outcome; management of non conformities;
    • progress of EHS mindset, awareness, and cultures; maturity of management system

    Mission/Function

    Manages - with responsibility for results - projects in the context of manufacturing.

    What are the responbilities of the role?

    • Executes the project within the defined requirements (e.g. cost, time, functionality).
    • Ensures business success and satisfaction of the customer .
    • Ensures professional stakeholder management and liaises between parties.
    • Ensures timely decisions on open issues, escalating if necessary.
    • Ensures the right staffing and allocation of resources to various phases of Manufacturing projects.
    • Contributes to and reviews the project proposal or plan to determine timeframe, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing the project.
    • Supports Project Manager External in clarifying customer requirements and specifications, during the request for proposal (RFP) and proposal
    • Coordinates resources and monitors and reports progress and milestones regularly to all stakeholders.
    • Negotiates or contributes to negotiations with suppliers and vendors.
    • Responsible for meeting all project milestones and technical objectives.
    • Monitors the budget adherence and may take actions to minimize non-conformance costs.
    • Checks projects results, designs respective test procedures and monitors test results.
    • Ensures proper documentation of project results, and of all products or technologies delivered.
    • Adheres to PM standards defined, and manages and coordinates all temporarily assigned project staff.
    • Management of Project Finances
    • Manage compliance to Siemens standards, rules and regulations

    What do I need to Qualify?

    • 5-10 years working experience in Transformer Manufacturing and Production
    • 5 years Experience in Project Management coupled with a Project Management Certification
    • PM @ Siemens (Advantageous)
    • BSc / BTech in Electrical Engineering (HC) or any other acceptable equivalent.
    • Must have managed Projects to the value of +-R100M
