    Senior Manager Change Management

    Job description

    • Change Leader with a proven track record in driving large scale multi-country change programmes, ensuring "people change" takes place alongside technology (ERP) and organisational development improvements.
    • In depth change management experience dealing with and influencing senior management and executives is required.
    • Change Management experience within a Finance divison of a Bank is advantageous. Finance Qualification is preferred.

    Overall Job Purpose

    • Operating at a senior level and accountable for the mobilisation and effective, on-time and on-budget delivery of key Transformation initiatives. Coordinating with key delivery/enabler teams to identify internal and external stimuli to ensure “human change” takes place along “technical change.” Ensuring maximum engagement with business for greater adoption, embedment and utilisation of initiatives
    • Responsible for ensuring initiatives being delivered meet business objectives, with a high focus on human change to lubricate resistance
    • Responsible for the development of the business rationale, positioning of wider strategic context and financial case for progressing initiatives
    • • Shaping and scoping of new initiatives and securing the buy in of stakeholders
    • Help drive senior management thinking, debate and influence, to drive and manage transformational change.
    • Support project teams and managers in integrating change management activities and principals into the project plans
    • Provide direct support to front line and other managers in the various countries through the transition process as new initiatives are launched. Making it easy for the transformation programme to fulfil its objectives
    • Proactively work with other business areas to leverage existing activity and expertise across the business.
    • Lead and develop a team (both direct and virtual), supporting and enabling delivery of their accountabilities

    • DRIVE AND BUSINESS DIRECTION
      • • Accountable for delivery of a portfolio of initiatives with a high focus on change management
      • Support the process to define the Go-To Stage of our transformation agenda, including the development and execution of the transformational roadmap
      • Provide input into the design and roll-out of initiatives to ensure these are shaped in line with customer and colleague insights to assure high rate of adoption
      • Create awareness, understanding, buy-in and support of identified transformation activities, and build a feedback mechanism at strategic touch points to facilitate open discussion on improvement opportunities
      • Partner with Business Unit Heads to build, manage and translate business priorities into implementable actions to achieve the transformation goal of maximising customer satisfaction
      • Act as an engagement interface between the Business and project/enablement teams, ensuring that any dependencies are identified and managed
      • Ensure alignment between business units and enablement teams in the design and execution of initiatives
      • Provide challenge to all initiatives in order to ensure that all initiatives undertaken are supported by insight data and in line with the wider Barclays Africa transformation agenda, and that the impact of such initiatives can be fully quantified
      • Support the development of insight into key process and /or people issues which are likely to impact effective roll-out and embedment of initiatives. Provide the oversight to ensure these issues addressed
      • Lead with passion and determination the resolution of entrenched business issues that may act as obstacles in the delivery of initiatives
      • Working with enabler teams to evaluate, mobilise and deliver initiatives to a high rate of adoption by business
      • Proactively identifying synergies across teams and within initiatives to ensure we leverage all opportunities for quick and efficient delivery of initiatives
      • Develop innovative and creative solutions to long standing issues that may hinder embedment of initiatives in-country
      • Continuously challenge the status quo and refuse to accept sub standard solutions
      • Promote the Transformation agenda across Barclays Africa, raising awareness of the role of the
      • transformation team and the support that they can provide

      • Proactively build and maintain relationship with key stakeholders, looking for opportunities to leverage and build Africa / cross cluster solutions

      • Facilitate, support and guide the delivery and achievement of business team results in a balance scorecard of customer / company / colleague / community.
      • Provide leadership and coaching to ensure that all colleagues are aligned to the goals and culture of the Transformation Team.

    Education and Experience Required

    Knowledge & Skills:

    • Ability to influence stakeholders at a senior executive level including communication and presentation skills.
    • Proven track record in driving large-scale multi-country process, technology (ERP) and organizational development improvements from a change management perspective.
    • Project management & training experience. Understanding and application of enterprise architecture concepts and ideas.
    • Finance degree, prior Finance experience in banking environment preferred.
    • Six-sigma, agile certifications preferred.
    • In-depth knowledge and application of change management and organisational development concepts, models and frameworks.

    Chief Financial Officer - Rest of Africa, RBB

    Job description

    Seasoned commercial CFO required to play a leading role supporting the Retail & Business Bank for Rest of Africa regional management team. The role will also require close working relationship with the country RBB heads.

    Banking and Africa experience is preferred.

    Overall Job Purpose

    To provide strategic financial leadership and support to the business. Provide guidance from a financial perspective to the business around the developing and measurement of businesses strategic goals. Drive operational understanding of the financial impact of decisions made. Drive the businesses financial objectives by providing accurate value-added financial management information and analysis.

    • Strategic direction to business
      • Formulate and provide strategic direction to the business executive committee (Exco) based on analytical review of the Business Performance and an understanding of key business drivers.
      • Partner with the business and provide strategic direction to the business through the analysis and findings of competitor performance.
      • Provide clear direction to the Exco on what the business requirements and imperatives are by translating current business performance into actionable business objectives aimed and driving and improving performance.
      • Participate as an active member of the Executive Committee of the business
      • Translate Cluster strategy into meaningful operational targets and strategic focus areas for the business unit under management. Ensure that the focus areas are disseminated to all levels in the business unit.

    • Risk Management

    • Financial management
      • Working with business unit heads and define the cost centre structures and rollup/
      • consolidation to effectively manage the businesses performance.
      • Work with business unit heads to determine their performance reporting (financial and
      • non-financial) needs and agree deliverables on an annual basis.
      • Define and instruct team on the formatting of management reports and contract with
      • system developers and data providers to develop the reports.
      • Ensure "one version of the truth" for all reporting and that management reporting
      • reconciles/agrees to reports produced within other areas of the business.
      • Review the variance analyses for the different business units as prepared by the team and discuss major variances, on the cost and income sides, with business unit heads to gain and understanding of the reasons.
      • Review quality of and provide input into the Cluster Exco pack (as compiled by the
      • Cluster CFO) with a focus on the variances, reasons for variances and overall business performance of the cluster.
      • Review transfer pricing arrangements in place for group functions charging to the cluster and recharges from the cluster to other business areas. On a monthly basis  review reports to ensure that the charges processed are accurate and address concerns directly with the finance teams from other areas.
      • Lead investigations into cost saving initiatives and make comprehensive recommendations to the business unit ME.
      • On request from project/change teams, provide input and support during the development of business case financials for new projects or initiatives.
    • Financial forecasting
      • Working with the business unit strategy team and participate in the forecasting and scenario planning processes by reviewing Group economic analysis and providing a
      • view on the financial impact on the cluster of changing economic conditions.
      • Advice business unit decision makers on the process and requirements during the MTP
      • (Medium Term Planning), STP (Short-term/budget planning) and RAF (Revised Annual
      • Forecast) cycles. Ensure that their commitment and thorough input is obtained for these activities and support them with translating strategy into financial objectives on request.
      • Manage and review the consolidated financial plans generated by MTP, STP and RAF prepared by the team and quality check the consolidations prior to recommendingapproval to the Cluster CFO.

    Education and Experience Required

    • NQF Level 7: Honours/Masters Degree
    • (CA)(SA) or equivalent NQF level 7 qualification
    • Commercial CFO / Finance Business Partner experience in Banking
    • Preferred experience- Retail Business Banking
    • Experience working in African Countries
