    Engineering Project Manager

    Key Responsibilities

    • Business case / Front-end Loading (FEL) development
    • Helps functional teams writing project charters with clear business objectives and requirements.
    • Leads the development of alternatives that meet business needs, combining our internal seed processing knowledge, project management expertise, and market technologies.
    • Develops early budgets and timelines to support capital planning process.
    • Staffs project teams effectively, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly understood, workload is reasonable, communication is good, and conflicts are managed.
    • Leads project teams to execute the FEL deliverables, ensuring data completeness and quality.
    • Communicates with stakeholders to grant formal project authorization.

    Design

    • Collaborates with internal customers and project team to develop design, engaging outside consultants and contractors, as needed.
    • Ensures design meets project objectives and execution strategy, and that a robust quality assurance process is in place to approve the deliverables.
    • Ensures smooth design information transfer to vendors and construction team.

    Procurement

    • Ensures Corteva procurement practices are in place.
    • Ensures procurement plans are approved by Procurement team.
    • Engages functional teams to approve technical and commercial offers.
    • Engages functional teams to review and approve contracts, when required.
    • Ensures purchase orders are issued timely and with all required information.
    • Ensures effective expediting and contract management.
    • Manages invoices approval and processing.

    Construction

    • Acts as the champion of safety.
    • Ensures contractors are understand and meet safety and quality requirements.
    • Ensures contractors understand and align with the project execution strategy.
    • Ensures site teams are aligned with construction and safety plans.
    • Ensures owner’s teams are properly staffed to supervise and approve field execution.

    Project Management and Performance

    • Ensures all required permits are in place for the execution of the projects.
    • Manages scope, schedule, budget, cash-flow, risks, changes, and execution.
    • Communicates with stakeholders and delivers consistent, and effective project reports.
    • Delivers assets that are safe to operate and maintain.
    • Ensures team members are properly recognized for their contributions.

    Project Closeout

    • Supports capital accounting process, complying with internal policies and procedures.
    • Partners with business finance to evaluate and report investment return, as required.

    Qualifications

    Experience and Professional Requirements

    Candidates must have:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Automation or Agriculture Engineering.
    • 3+ years of experience managing industrial projects, design, or construction.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage partners, and influence stakeholders.
    • Solid interpersonal relationship skills, with good written and oral communication.
    • Strong owner’s mindset.
    • Willingness to work irregular hours, when required.
    • Highest standards of conduct and respect for others.

    Differentiators:

    • Project Management master’s degree / specialization / broadly recognized certification.
    • Previous experience with seed/grain/food processing or bulk material handling projects.
    • Proficient English is mandatory.

    Agronomy Specialist

    Your Challenge:

    • Responsible to ensure all Greenhouses operates at optimum capacity
    • Management of the plants in greenhouses.
    • Management of weed control, disease and- pest control, irrigation, fertilization/crop nutrition and sanitization in greenhouses.
    • Operate and manage automatic potting equipment and advanced irrigation systems
    • Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the greenhouses
    • Timely ordering of soil, fertilizer, paraffin and keeping greenhouse stock up to date.
    • Lead and participate in process improvement and internal research projects
    • Collaborate with global greenhouse teams to implement new and improved processes and ideas.
    • Maintain an appropriate log and inventory of chemicals, fertilizer, pesticide, herbicide and supplies for efficient completion of greenhouse activities
    • Provide daily feedback and support to necessary stakeholders
    • Work with Genetically Modified Organisms in accordance with government regulations and internal company policies
    • Scouting and identifying early signs of pests, diseases or any unwanted infestations
    • Will need to work with vendors to order or organize greenhouse needs in a cost-effective manner.
    • Will be required to ensure boilers, paraffin pumps, greenhouse structures, water and fertilizer equipment are maintained.
    • Will be responsible for the irrigation of the farm – Liners & Pivots
    • Need to be innovative and bring new ideas
    • Will be an owner of the fall protection safety programs to ensure working at heights are done safely and other related safety programs
    • Will be required to do physical lifting and work in varying ergonomic and physical environments, including outdoors and in hot, humid greenhouses
    • Will be required to do come in over weekends or after hours if there is a problem

    To Grow What Matters, You Will Need

    • BSc or B. Agric in horticulture, agronomy, plant biology or related discipline or equivalent experience in a related field, with at least 2 years of greenhouse/field experience
    • A driving license is necessary. Proven ability to make timely decisions, solve problems and build consensus
    • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills are required for fostering teamwork, enhancing a good working environment, and effectively developing strong working relationships with a diverse group of people
    • Ability to supervise and prioritize multiple tasks is critical
    • Technical and mechanical skills are beneficial
    • Experience in irrigation systems
    • Proficiency in Office software such as spreadsheets, mail, calendar and presentation software.
    • Always comply with safety regulations and country laws
    • Working overtime when the task requires
    • Ability to work outside in all kinds of weather
    • Valid driver’s license is required

    Talent Acquisition Consultant

    Your Role, What you will do to help us grow! 

    • Lead full-cycle searches for all business units across corporate functions and countries, ensuring a pipeline of high-caliber candidates to meet Corteva’s strategic needs.
    • Provide tailored expertise on sourcing methodologies within EMEA, using social media and other tools to identify specific candidate pools.

    Qualifications, To cultivate what matters, you will need: 

    • 8+ years of progressive recruiting experience, with extensive full cycle recruiting at least 5 years managing international executive and technical searches.
    • Proven background in both executive search firms and in-house Talent Acquisition. Experience in agriculture or a related industry is beneficial.
    • Proven track record of excellence in sourcing, assessing, and delivering on challenging and complex searches.
    • Strong proficiency with digital and social recruiting tools with the ability to quickly adopt new technology and systems. Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems, Client Relationship Management systems,
    • and other HR Analytics tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, LinkedIn Talent Insights, Visier analytics, Workday, Eightfold).
    • Demonstrated success in building and fostering strategic partnerships with stakeholders at all levels in multiple languages.
    • Excellence multitasking ability, capable of managing multiple recruitment initiatives and strategic projects simultaneously.
    • Fluent in English; proficiency in German and/or French is a plus.

    Field Agronomist

    You Will Be Part of Growing Team

    • Responsible for managing the KwaZulu Natal area for agronomic and general crop production, training of the salespersons in that area.

    Your Challenge:

    • Builds, develops, and retains effective relationships with field sales force and area managers
    • Instills confidence into the sales force for new products and assists with marketing of these products
    • Builds and maintains relationships with farmers
    • Assists with complaint investigation and resolution relating to agronomic performance of products.
    • Performs trials to promote understanding of new products and fine-tune product placement

    Qualifications
