    Engineering Supervisor - Witbank

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervising and managing maintenance, breakdowns and repairs on machines and equipment.
    • Ensuring compliance with all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
    • Ensuring that production targets are met safely and cost effectively.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • Either a N4 Certificate with Engineering Subjects, Valid Trade Certificate (Electrician) and a minimum of 5 Years’ experience as an Artisan; OR
    • A relevant Tertiary Qualification and completed Graduate Development Programme.
    • Driver’s license Code EB (08).

    Production Supervisor – Fixed Term - Tweefontein Complex

    Key Responsibilities

    • Creating an understanding of daily and weekly production targets amongst team members to make sure targets are achieved and executed safely.
    • Reviewing shift performance on an ongoing basis and discussing progress against agreed deliverables, deadlines and provides support required by team members.
    • Identifying continuous improvement opportunities to use people, equipment, processes and reports in the daily meetings for consideration in the planning effort.
    • Creating an understanding of company policy and procedures, including legislative requirements among team members and ensures compliance.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Grade 12 and an Opencast Blasting Certificate for Coal Mines; OR
    • A relevant degree and an Opencast Blasting Certificate for Coal Mines.
    • 2 different types of Opencast Machine Licenses.
    • Driver’s License (Code EB/08).

    Minimum Experience

    • 2 Years’ experience as a Digger/Dragline Operator or Blaster or completed Graduate Development Programme.

    Team Assistant - Johannesburg

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Maintenance of system databases, including data entry tasks.
    • Quality checks and processing of data sets and workbooks.
    • General and ad hoc administrative duties, such as updating records and tracking spreadsheets.
    • Assist in gathering, analysing, and synthesizing information for presentations.
    • Provide administrative support to the GIAA leadership team by ensuring efficient general office administration such as diary management and order processing.
    • Coordinating schedules and arranging team meetings, workshops, and events.

    • Advantageous to demonstrate post qualification studies or soft skills development.

    Work Experience:

    • Min of 5 years of experience in a team assistant or administrative role (advantageous if within a corporate or audit environment).
    • Extensive Ms PowerPoint and Excel skills

    Competencies:

    • A high level of attention to detail and able to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing documents and entering information.
    • Well-organised with an efficient working style and able to manage time effectively (ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities).
    • Comfortable at performing recurring/repetitive tasks.

    Qualifications & Skill Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
    • SAP certification preferred

    General Accountability:

    Specific Accountabilities:

    • Research and evaluate HR software solutions that align with the organization’s needs and goals. Lead the implementation process, including system configuration, data migration, and integration with existing systems.
    • Customize HR software to meet specific organizational requirements such as configuring workflows, creating custom fields, and ensuring seamless integration with other business systems.
    • User Training and Support: Provide comprehensive training to HR staff on how to use the software effectively. Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to ensure smooth operations and maximum utilization of the HR technology.
    • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and propose enhancements to existing systems or processes to optimize HR operations.
    • Collaborate with HR stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to gather requirements, address concerns, and ensure alignment between technology solutions and business objectives.
    • Manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to prioritize tasks and mitigate risks.
    • Build and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers.
    • Training Effectiveness: Assess the proficiency of HR staff in using the software through training     completion rates, posttraining assessments, and feedback surveys. Higher scores indicate effective training and user readiness.
    • System Enhancements and Upgrades: Track the implementation of system enhancements, upgrades, or new features to improve functionality, performance, and user experience.
    • Vendor Performance: Evaluate the performance of HR software vendors based on criteria such as responsiveness, resolution time for support tickets, and adherence to SLAs. Ensure effective vendor management to address issues and optimize service delivery.
