    Psychology Lecturer

    Description

    The CTI Education group is currently seeking a Psychology lecturer who will expose our students to real-life case studies as well as interactive material within our robust curriculum. Furthermore, the incumbent will be responsible for lecturing and administering modules based on the curriculum provided.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Facilitation of learning, Supervision, tutoring, assessments and research
    • Setting and marking of assessments (including exam papers).
    • Preparation of notes and additional study materials and Quality assurance of learning material.
    • General academic administration.
    • Marking of tests, exams, and assignments and general class preparation.
    • Assistance with the preparation, co-ordination and attendance at functions, events, registration, and activities (open / career days / project days).
    • Participate in professional development opportunities.
    • Contribute and implement innovative teaching and learning strategies, including technology enhanced learning methodologies.
    • Participate in research activities and activities and projects to keep abreast of newest
    • Developments in trends in Psychology.

    Experience

    • The person must be a registered counsellor with the HPCSA with a registration for more than three years
    • Relevant lecturing teaching or tutoring experience within the realm of Psychology
    • Experience in a higher education environment is an advantage.
    • Knowledge of higher education practices and processes.
    • Relevant research experience

    Responsibilities

    • Load all IS assessments on the assessment system.
    • Apply any required amendments to the IS assessments on the system.
    • Coordinate quality assurance of IS assessment accuracy on the system.
    • Test all IS assessments for errors prior to release to campuses.
    • Create a manual for campuses on using the system.
    • Train assessment staff on the use of the system.
    • Maintain timelines and deadlines for IS marking, re-marking and moderation.
    • Administer IS marking, re-marking and moderation submission platform.
    • Coordinate IS marking, re-marking and moderation processes.
    • Process IS marking, re-marking and moderation cost split requisitions.
    • Consolidate IS marking, re-marking and moderation feedback for reporting purposes.
    • Release IS assessment resources and memoranda to campuses.
    • Ensure the security of IS assessments and release passwords to approved staff.

    Experience

    • Coordinate IS assessment query process and ensure that feedback is sent to campus timeously.
    • Provide training to new IS assessment staff on all assessment processes as required.
    • Communicate any IS assessment related information and/or changes to processes to campuses.
    • Review and update campus IS assessment manuals.
    • Provide support to campuses on all IS assessment related queries.
    • Collaborate with faculty staff on changes to IS assessment processes.
    • Train new faculty staff on IS assessment processes.
    • Provide support to faculty staff on all IS assessment related queries.
