    Customer Service Excellence Planning and Logistics: This is a challenging but enjoyable juggling act. You will need to estimate the future demands of our customers, then synchronise the combination of thousands of materials with production line availability to create our many products. You also need to co-ordinate where the finished product needs to go and how it is going to get there.     Key Responsibilities:

    Global Brand Marketing: The Body of Unilever marketing is made up of both brand development and brand building. Brand development is considered the head of the body. You will decide the strategic direction your brands will take in different markets. You will think of ways in which to marry the needs of the market with the brand strengths and drive market development through the development of toolkits that are appropriate and implementable.  Brand development allows you the opportunity to work with global teams in crafting brand and consumer strategies that will ultimately influence consumer behaviour toward your category and ultimately your brand. You will project lead innovation that is key for market growth and brand growth. This will allow you to work cross functionally and interact with people from different areas of expertise to deliver an innovation In full and on time.

    Local Brand Marketing:  This is where strategy comes to life through implementation. Brand building is the body of marketing. In brand building you are expected to treat your brand as a growing business. To this end you will understand your brand from a consumer/shopper and customer perspective. Here you will take the brand toolkit and make it come alive in your market. You will work closely with shopper and consumer insights to find the sweet spot that works for your brand. You will explore different channels in which to explode your brand messaging. You will also work closely with your customer team in developing activation that is tailored by retailer and that will assist you in growing your brand share and volumes. You will also project lead innovation that is delivered by your brand development team, allowing you to work cross- functionally.

    As part of your development you will experience Customer Development i.e. taking our brands to market by partnering with trade i.e. Wallmart, Pick n Pay, Checkers, Clicks etc. Here you become the face of Unilever amongst our customers i.e. traders, retailers & wholesalers

    Key Responsibilities:

    Channel & Category Management: Consolidate and drive category growth (eg. Laundry) through the execution of relevant activities (activations) and innovations. You will work with finance on managing category budgets and ensure category profitability. Provide inputs to Supply Chain on upcoming demand and work closely with marketing to deliver innovation activity into the trade.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Formulation Development: Whether the product is a deodorant, shampoo or an ice cream, as a formulation technologist your role is to make the marketing idea come to life, ensuring all the sensorial properties (taste, aroma, appearance, feel, and smell) excite and delight the consumer.
    Packaging Development: The battle for the “shelf” and the consumer’s attention will be won or lost through eye-catching and functional packaging. You will develop the best structural packaging design concepts for the brands, and then engineer these into workable designs using the latest technologies
    Regulatory Affairs: ensures we can get Unilever’s products into the market place and keep them there by guiding project teams through country specific regulations such as advertising standards and, ultimately ensuring that we protect the consumer.

    Consumer Technical Insights: The CTl role is to investigate how consumers’ ‘needs’ or ‘desires’ translate into a product. You will link the consumer to technology by commissioning product evaluation, sensory research, and consumer habit observation studies.
    Processing Development (Engineering): With over three hundred factories worldwide, a vast array of process technologies are applied in order to convert raw materials into products. As the Process Engineer your role is to upscale from lab or pilot plant to factory and make sure the process you use is repeatable.

    Chefmanship: As an Innovation chef you will draw on your extensive knowledge of regional and global food trends; fusion of flavours; and consumer needs to bring the power of meal times to life through brilliant products that taste as good as homemade.
    Nutrition and Health: Do you know that Knorr is specially formulated so you get just the right amount of salt in your diet? As a Nutritionists in R&D you will lead the delivery of health benefits into our products as well as sound nutrition communication and marketing to consumers.
    Specification Management: The specification management team within R&D is the custodian of the technical information that is stored to produce a great product. A specification details the “what” and “how” of the attributes and properties that an article must have to fulfil its purpose.

    Deploy: Deploy is the eyes and ears of the R&D organisation within each local company. In deploy your role will cover all R&D disciplines. Your key role is to bring the innovations to life with your consumers and customers. The tools you use are demo’s and the product experience toolkits. This is done through close partnership with your R&D team and the Brand team.

    SEA BPC Shopper Marketing Assistant

    MAIN JOB PURPOSE:

    The role of this is to drive shopper based thought leadership to internal and external stakeholders. This includes execution of the shopper component of brand marketing/customer and category plans.

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Shopper Marketing Assistant will work closely with the Brand team and agencies as well as the Channel & Category, E-Commerce and Trade Category Teams. Other key relationships will be with the Customer Management team (for Retailer engagement) and Unilever Field Sales (for execution) to effectively deliver activations, innovations and customer collaborations.

    • Drive shopper thought leadership that increases, develops and sustains Unilever and Category growth opportunities.

    • Drive Shopper Mission and Shopper/Channel understanding in all plans, activations, and innovations that deliver long-term consumer behavior change, incremental sales and build brand equity.

    • Leads execution of shopper based plans that are rooted in shopper and consumer insights aligned to brand/category objectives.

    • Work closely with key internal / external stakeholders to execute shopper marketing activities against key objectives.

    • Adopt, Adapt and implement Global Best Practice of point of sale (POS) material to deliver best in class POS that delivers value for the retailer, is shopper based and drives incremental sales.

    • Ensure “best in class” executional excellence of Shopper Marketing Plans through clear briefs to internal and external executional teams.

    • Clear brief to field team on all execution of the instore activities

    • Manage activity budgets
