    Shopper Marketing Assistant -Deodorants

    Main Job Purpose:

    • The role of this is to drive shopper-based thought leadership to internal and external stakeholders. This includes execution of the shopper component of brand marketing/customer and category plans.

    Job Summary 

    The Shopper Marketing Assistant for Deodorants will work closely with the Brand team across the different small categories in Personal Care and agencies as well as the Channel & Category, E-Commerce and Trade Category Teams focusing primarily on key Channels and countries within Southern Africa. Other key relationships will be with the Customer Management team (for Retailer engagement) and Unilever Field Sales (for execution) to effectively deliver activations, innovations and customer collaborations.

    • Drive shopper thought leadership that increases, develops and sustains Unilever and Category growth opportunities.
    • Drive Shopper Insights, Mission and Shopper/Channel understanding in all plans, activations, and innovations that deliver long-term consumer behaviour change, incremental sales and build brand equity.
    • Leads execution of shopper-based plans that are rooted in shopper and consumer insights aligned to brand/category objectives.
    • Work closely with key internal / external stakeholders to execute shopper marketing activities against key objectives.
    • Adopt, Adapt and implement Global Best Practice of point of sale (POS) material to deliver best in class POS that delivers value for the retailer, is shopper based and drives incremental sales.
    • Ensure “best in class” executional excellence of Shopper Marketing Plans through clear briefs to internal and external executional teams.
    • Clear brief to field team on all execution of the instore activities
    • Manage activity budgets annually and monthly execution against financial principles.
    • Lead a rigorous and transparent post-evaluation analysis of specific activations, initiatives that guide the business on its success based on agreed KPIs.
    • Shopper marketing planning- Developing plans that drive shopper strategy
    • Shopper engagement – working with customers and agencies to create and execute shopper programs
    • Shopper impact Evaluating and learning from SM programs
    • Shopper insight – knowing shoppers and shopping and translating it into actions. 

    Key Requirements 

    • Degree/ Diploma
    • Minimum 3 years relevant Customer or Marketing experience
    • Account management/Consumer Insights and experience outside FMCG is an advantage.

    CSP Manager

    MAIN JOB PURPOSE: 

    Overview:  

    • The Category Strategy & Planning Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the activation plan that supports the objectives of our brands and the customer. Lead the development execution of brand/category solutions & activities for Customer/Channels based on fully integrated, shopper, customer and channel insights.

    JOB SUMMARY / RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Develop customer & shopper insights. Translate insights into business building opportunities within specific customers/channels
    • Use and leverage account specific category and shopper insights
    • Build account/channel specific Customer marketing plans to deliver category/brand objectives (CMP) in conjunction with Brand Marketing Plan (BMP) and Customer Business Plan (CBP)
    • Integration of customer marketing plans with brand marketing plan and customer business planning
    • Work with Account managers to ensure excellence in in-store activation and delivery of integrated Customer Business Plan and Customer Marketing Plan
    • Work with the brand managers to deliver activation plan efficiency and effectiveness
    • Communicate the customer’s marketing and business strategy to the brand teams
    • Develop strong relationships with Customers at category expansion level
    • Customer and customers’ Shopper input into Innovation program
    • Set strategy and targets for Trade investment spend
    • Consolidate into S & OP via Lock meeting that Forecast is meeting the strategic growth plan of the category
    • Ensure Brand standards/Brand DNA for channels are adhered to. E.g. consistent use of brand key visuals, customer activation themes aligned with brand activation 
    • Lead execution of plans & activities including customized offerings (incl. special packs, channel specific packs)
    • Analyze the ROI of the marketing activities executed with the customer
    • Channel and Customer execution of category thought leadership

    KEY REQUIREMENTS:

    • 5 years relevant Category & Customer experience 
    • Customer Facing experience combined with Brand Building experience is ideal
    • Two to three years Account management experience is an advantage

    Role Purpose:

    • Manage delivery of employee experience in-market, act as technical HR and Policy SME.

    • Proactively inform employees of pay related issues that have been confirmed from the Payroll team
    • Drive communication and support during the Annual Pay Review period

    Industrial Relations:

    • Manages all disciplinary enquiries for all work levels
    • Performance Improvement resolutions
    • Grievance resolution

    Exits:

    • Guide employee and Line Manager through exit process to enable smooth implementation
    • Conduct exit interviews for all work levels

    Skills:

    • Relevant Bachelors’ Degree  
    • 2 - 4 years of relevant Human Resource experience
    • Proficient & broad understanding of HR systems, processes, and Third Party providers.
    • Superior interpersonal and communication skills
    • Solid customer service and relationship management skills
    • Experience participating in mediations is required, as well as playing a part in alternative dispute resolution
    • Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws and regulations required
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to anticipate needs and solve problems proactively
    • Strong multi-tasking skills with a comfort in maintaining multiple, often conflicting, priorities, and deadlines
