    Plant Operator

    Job Description

    • Purpose of the job To operate RO Plant in accordance with standard operating procedure and client requirements based on quality and quantity.
    • Conducting all activities safely according to OHASA and AECI Water SHEQ requirements.
    • Conduct Safety checks, process pre-start-ups, conduct daily routine inspection
    • Operate the plant through SCADA programme and correct deviations accordingly
    • Ensure that the handover log sheets is completed accurately.
    • Perform analysis on plant water samples as required and report if any deviations.
    • Carry out visual inspection, screening, weighing, recording and analysing results from specifications
    • Ensure accurate production data is captured in the system
    • Basic knowledge of operational machinery
    • Comply with governance and compliance policies and procedures, work within established policies, systems, procedures, processes and practices
    • Comply with Safety, Health and Environment standards
    • Ensure safety and health, sustainability and quality standards are maintained.
    • Carry out Visual checks on plant and equipment
    • Records data, such as Process Inputs and Process Outputs
    • Operation of dosing stations and chemical supply
    • Ensure effective shut down and start-up of RO plant.
    • Maintain good housekeeping standards on the plant.
    • Correct storage of equipment and chemical stock.
    • Continuously evaluate plant operations for improvement opportunities
    • Do CIP on equipment as required to ensure plant efficiency.
    • Manage chemical stock level and accurate monitoring of consumption.
    • Be prepared to work overtime or respond to call-outs if and when required

    Qualifications & Experience

    • A minimum qualification of Grade 12/Matric
    • Experience in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage
    • Ability to concentrate for long periods during repetitive work
    • Ability to act quickly when problems arise
    • Shift work required

    Job Description

    • Purpose of the job: To support the category in creating Purchase Orders, Supplier engagements & expediting and handling departmental queries.
    • Also co-ordinate sourcing procedures in accordance with both customer and business requirements.

    Finance Manager – Corporate Accounts

    Job Description

    • Purpose of the job: To maintain the accuracy and integrity of the Head Office general ledger
    • This includes examining, analysing, and preparing financial records and statements for Head Office and its managed entities.

    Staff Management

    • Recruit, develop and retain people with outstanding skills, qualifications and potential
    • Define the divisional KPAs and KPIs that will be cascaded down to each area
    • Evaluate and assess people performance
    • Understand the need to train and develop staff to be able to use resources optimally and enhance performance
    • Coach and guide subordinates

    Daily Accounting

    • Review journals and approve journals
    • Manage all ERP system data
    • Review and authorise all payments accordance with AP policy

    Financial Reporting

    • Review various Trial Balances monthly
    • Review cost centre reports and analyse variances
    • Review monthly Management Accounts
    • Review update of investment register when required
    • Review flash results for Head Office and review flash for Chemical Services Group.
    • Review month end balancing and closure of all modules in Syspro
    • Review financial data into Cognos system
    • Manage, review and reconcile Balance Sheet reconciliations
    • Prepare Quarterly forecasts
    • Prepare Budgets with input from all Stakeholders.
    • Review the Chemical Services Group forecast.
    • Assist with the implementation of IFRS in Head Office

    Taxation

    • Ensure Taxation legislation is adopted at all times.
    • Review the Head Office monthly VAT return
    • Review the Chemhold, Chemical Services Limited, Chemiphos and Cape Explosive Works Limited VAT return.
    • Prepare the Head Office quarterly tax pack and provisional tax.
    • Assist with all Head Office projects and changes as and when required.
    • Prepare Annual Financial Statements in accordance with IFRS
    • Liaise with internal and external auditors
    • Review and assist in preparing BBBEE information on Head Office
    • Administer all banking platforms
    • Prepare the Treasury ICM for Internal Audit on Cura system.
    • Prepare the Treasury ICM for Tax

    IT Support Engineer

    Job Description

    • Provide first- and second-line IT support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and conferencing tools
    • Log and resolve IT incidents and service requests via the ITSM platform within defined SLAs
    • Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including device setup and access provisioning
    • Offer remote and onsite support across all business locations as needed

    Manage and configure Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manager) for:

    • Device enrollment and provisioning
    • Compliance and security policy enforcement
    • Application packaging and deployment
    • Administer local and network printers across all sites
    • Monitor print usage and assist with monthly volume reconciliation
    • Verify printer-related billing and ensure service provider accuracy

    Process Engineer

    Job Description

    Purpose of the job

    • Compile basic and detailed engineering packages to support prospect and project development and execution.
    • Provides onsite support from a technical point of view to support sales and prospect development.
    • Provides engineering support to water & waste water treatment plants operated by AECI water.
    • Ensures personal safety compliance and manages safety risks in his/her areas of responsibility and promotes company safety culture by inculcating Zero Harm initiatives in all dealings with internal and external stakeholders
    • Ensure solutions proposed are intrinsically aligned to SHERQ requirements
    • Support prospects and projects by means of process designs, both basic and detailed design packages
    • Support AECI water and effluent minimisation throughout the various active production sites
    • Promotes and supports sales of products and technology aimed at increasing AECI Water’s market share and value-add in the assigned product market(s)

    Technical Support

    • Provides technical support to internal and external customers with regards to suitable process selections to meet prospect & OR Tender & OR customer requirements
    • Conducts site surveys, and conduct field trials on new technology with the relevant Sales teams
    • Works individually, or in multi-disciplinary teams on strategic projects defined by the H.O.D. or Technology Executive
    • Works in conjunction with engineering teams to promote on time delivery of proposals, tenders and contracts
    • Provide input into proposal development on prospect & tenders
    • Any other reasonable job request by the line manager if and when required.

    Qualifications & Experience
