    Senior Financial Accountant - Henley

    Duties / Responsibilities

    The ideal candidate will possess the skills to develop into a Financial Manager position over a short to medium term.

    • Manage the day-to-day functions of the admin and finance department
    • Manage, coach & mentoring of the accounting team members

    Junior Mine Planner (Afrimat Shared Services – Lyttelton)

    Duties / Responsibilities

    The role is responsible for providing the Company with specialist mine planning services and expertise in support of the Afrimat operations. The role will entail providing mine planning services to all quarries within the group.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for support in the following support areas:

    • Concepts and principles of integrated mine planning (Advanced Producing short-, medium- and long-term Mineral Extraction layouts and production schedules including resource and equipment requirements for mining final products)
    • Preparing and collating information to determine the risks associated with the execution of the short, medium, and long term mine plans
    • Analysing production results against planned schedules and recommending corrective action
    • Creating operational mining infrastructure and resources schedule
    • Compile the project input to the strategic business plans for the mines
    • Interpret the mining operational plan and production results to develop monthly/quarterly or annual operation plans
    • Liaise with other related disciplines to gather information necessary to fulfil duties
    • Be able to do Mine designs
    • Scheduling of Mine designs and short- & long-term planning
    • Responsible for the planning/coordination/liaising of planning meetings at pre-determined frequency
    • Highlight deviations to the plans and identify opportunities to catch up or exceed the plan
    • Portray true reflection of mining operations and geological features on the plans
    • Monitor modifying factors through technical analysis
    • Perform duties of technical assurance
    • Mining trade-off studies
    • Pre-feasibility and feasibility studies
    • Reconciliation on mine plans

    Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Attributes

    • Mining related Degree or Diploma
    • Supervisory experience
    • Technical design and analysis
    • Technical knowledge of mining operations
    • Planning, coordinating, and prioritising
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
    • Applicable legal knowledge and understanding
    • Mine planning software i.e. Datamine OP and/or RM, Talpac or FPC, NPV
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Analysing and interpretation of information
    • Decision making ability in a fast-changing environment
    • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Good time management and organizational skills
