    Financial Accountant

    Job description

    Main responsibilities are the following:

    • Responsible for financial procedures pertaining to, inter alia, the preparation of accounts, general ledger, reconciliations and reporting
    • Handle detailed invoice calculations on excel for MDM Engineering Projects debtors and send invoices to clients including but not limited to, follow up on outstanding payments from clients in MDM Engineering Projects
    • Restatement of Foreign debtors all companies and study statements for MDM Engineering Projects
    • Control over opening new Debtors on Access and creating accounts on Access and follow up on outstanding creditors reconciliations captured on Access
    • Approve PO's on focal point for overheads and ensure completeness, accuracy and validity of overheads
    • Check creditors reconciliations for payment and maintain of Short term cash flow
    • Wesbank approvals for maintenance of vehicles and request rates from bank for Foreign payments including Foreign currency petty cash restatement
    • Manage month end journals for 3 entities (Provisions, accruals, prepayments, salaries etc.) and maintain general ledger records pertaining to provisions, inter-company loans for 3 companies (including Foreign currencies)
    • Maintaining of staff loans and payments including Interco loans (Including balancing, reporting and restatement)
    • Maintain fixed asset registers, profit and loss and do monthly depreciation/amortization entries for 3 companies
    • Manage statutory returns and payments/refunds for (VAT, PAYE etc.). Maintain monthly Tax calculations for provisional, deferred tax and vat calculations
    • Preparation of Consol and consol schedules for 4 companies and ensuring all schedules balances to consol
    • Reporting of MUT Files for 3 companies, ensure all companies balances, extract MA report and NMR report to ensure balance to consol figures
    • Prepare of Appendix B & C for half year and full year review, AFS for MDM Technical Africa
    • Manage SRP (Budget) reporting to AMEC and filing various ad-hoc tasks that might be required from time to time

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Must have completed High School education or B.Com Degree
    • Minimum of 3 - 5 years Accounting experience
    • Good working knowledge of MS office, especially Excel
    • Good English verbal and written skills

    Time and Attendance Administrator

    Job description

    Amec Foster Wheeler is currently recruiting for a Time and Attendance Administrator to be based on the Petra Diamond mine in Cullinan. Responsibilities will include:

    • Open and close T&A System on a daily basis timeously
    • Ensure daily that all clocking stations are working correctly, if not report it immediately and get repaired
    • Adding and linking new employees to T&A System
    • Train new employees to use the T&A System and ensure all employees clock on a daily basis, and that clocking hours matches the toolbox talk sign off sheet
    • Remove left employees on a daily basis
    • Check daily by 9 o'clock absenteeism and late coming report. Correct all employees clocking times where necessary and get approval from Construction Manager
    • Ensure HR has been informed on a daily basis of the absenteeism report so that they can take the necessary action
    • Record Annual, Sick and Family Responsibility leave on a daily basis
    • Print overtime report and get approved on a daily basis
    • Handle all Toolbox talk sheets to be signed off on a daily basis by supervisors and employees
    • Ensure all clocking reports to be signed off by employees on a Monday for previous week to ensure all hours are correctly entered and no pay queries with arise

    Skills / Qualification

    • Matric qualification
    • 5 years VIP experience
    • 5 years HT / T & A experience
    • Experience with blue collar / site staff essential
