    Production Manager

    Job Specification:

    Key Performance Areas:

    • To effectively empower and develop staff through goal setting and performance management in-order to enable them to contribute effectively and make the right decisions.
    • Ensuring high efficiency, excellent quality and low waste.
    • To ensure optimal production through effective liaison with all other support functions.
    • Manage and ensure cost effective labour usage in accordance with MANMAPS.
    • Analysing and resolving production history in order to minimize potential risk.
    • To ensure that operating specifications are in place and are achievable (correctly implemented).

    Storeman

    Job Specification:
    Key Performance Areas:

    Receiving of finished and componentry products (locally produced and imported) and merchandising

    • Ensure that the correct procedure for receiving of Finished Goods from Production, Overseas, Merchandising and from external suppliers as well as issuing stock to production

    Safe stacking of products

    • Adhere to the procedure for generic stacking (SSOP-13) to ensure safe, accurate putting away of stock and the easy retrieval thereof

    Supply of stacked products to Picking

    • Ensure that the procedure for Replenishing of Picking bins is being followed at all times to provide a speedy availability of products to the picking bins

    Maintaining of housekeeping and safety standards

    • Keeping racking, aisles and stacked products neat, tidy and dust free
    • Seeing that products and cartons are sealed properly and in a good saleable condition
    • Use the correct material handling equipment to reach higher stacking levels, ensuring that the correct safety procedures are adhered to
    • Follow the company’s safety procedure and to report unsafe conditions and incidents

    Queries

    • All queries related to the receiving, putting away and retrieval of stock must be resolved immediately, alternatively, they must be escalated to the Supervisor

    Ad Hoc duties

    • Remove empty pallets to the back yard
    • Assist with the picking of reservations
    • Keep yard tidy
    • Assist with the controlling and stacking of new cartons
    • Assist, when required, with the replenishment off stacked stock to
    • The picking lines
    • Maintain materials handling equipment as per procedure
    • Assist with the loading of any large consignments into containers

    Attend green area meetings

    To participate in green areas:

    • Discuss any problems that may occur
    • Make suggestions in terms of work flow improvements
    • Ensure that green area is always neat and tidy
    • Adhere to green area’s code of conduct for a meeting

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a Warehouse operations environment
    • Must have RF scanner experience
    • Valid Reach Truck License

    AP Administrator

    Job Specification:

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Responsible for the entire procure to pay process within profile
    • Processing and matching of all invoices using 3 way matching technique
    • Request for invoices, proof of deliveries and supporting documents for any and all unprocessed documents from suppliers, buyers and or site personnel
    • Resolve all supplier reconciling items and supplier queries within the month and ensure that suppliers are paid timeously on due dates in accordance with set trading terms
    • Reconcile supplier accounts monthly and ensure that the account is in a current state
    • Ensure that purchase orders, receipt report (GR/IR), age analysis, MRBR reports (blocked invoices) etc. are reviewed and resolved timeously 

    Minimum Requirements:

    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Accounts Payable / Creditors Clerk
    • Experience working within a Manufacturing environment
    • Experience working in a high volumes environment – manually capturing no less than 500 invoices per month
    • Experience dealing with multiple departments and multiple stakeholders within your organisation 
    • Experience with invoice capturing to reconciliations
    • SAP ERP experience

    Warehouse Controller Stores

    Job Specification:
    Key Performance Areas:

    Capacity requirement planning

    • Manage daily available capacity of staff and machinery across Consumable & Aerosol stores
    • Ensure that all the warehousing and stores activities linked to the following functions are correctly and timeously performed:
    • Goods Receiving, Stacking, Picking and Cycle counting.
    • Monitor workload both scheduled and unscheduled and make recommendations on how to overcome any short-to-term capacity constraints.
    • Identify and analyse resources, which are bottlenecks and make recommendations on how these bottlenecks and constraints can be overcome.
    • Identify potential skills shortages and recommend a plan of action to remedy this threat.
    • Identifying specific areas within the process, which, if improved, would enhance productivity.

    Human Resource Management

    • Ensure on an ongoing basis that all training requirements for subordinates are identified, planned, scheduled, executed and training records updated once training has been completed.
    • Regularly review the performance of sub ordinates to ensure that the minimum requirements for all their relevant Key Performance Areas are met. Submit reports of these review meetings.
    • Inform sub ordinates regarding ways of improving productivity in their work areas.
    • Draw and review the relevant reports on an appropriate frequency to ensure that tasks are being carried out by the storemen timeously.
    • Effective time management and prioritising of tasks to meet the operational objectives.
    • Conduct investigations and initiate disciplinary procedures as and when required.

    Hygiene and Safety and Good Manufacturing Practice

    • Identify, write and maintain any necessary procedures applicable to a particular store.
    • Ensure that all procedures and training is relevant and managed through Q-pulse.
    • Ensure that the Hygiene and Safety policies and procedures are being adhered to at all times.
    • Ensure that the working environment reflect a world class warehousing environment.
    • Ensure that all materials handling equipment are in a good working condition and regularly maintained.
    • Ensure that non-conformances of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) audits are actioned timeously to eliminate the problem and its possible recurrence.
    • Ensure that all incidents and accidents are reported, investigated, documented and submitted to the relevant persons.
    • Ensure that the non-conformances of Safety and Company Risk Management (CRM) audits are actioned timeously to eliminate the problem and its possible recurrence.

    Problem solving and trouble shooting

    • Liaise with the different internal departments and suppliers to resolve problems, which affect the efficient and productive running of the department.
    • Facilitate meetings between individuals and groups on matters of mutual interest, to the benefit of the efficient and productive running of the department.

    Inventory Management

    • Ensure the secure, accurate and safe storage of inventory.
    • Ensure that all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) are strictly adhered to.
    • Ensure that all relevant SAP transactions are completed accurately and timeously.
    • Ensure that cycle counting is conducted at the appropriate interval and that variances are investigated and resolved in a timeous manner.

    • Ensure non-conforming products are addressed and corrected swiftly.

    People Management:

    Production and Machinery

    • Ensure that production machines reach the yield target standards as set.
    • Utilising the 5 Why analysis tool to analyse the root cause of the breakdowns and investigating, testing, implementing and monitoring solutions to reduce breakdown frequency.
